Highland House Cafe & Carry Out

Anything Highland House owned is going to be good, but my last visit was memorable. There happened to be two Lexi pick up orders, and the girl at the counter accidentally had us pay for the wrong one. She apologized and immediately got management. The female manager (wish I caught her name because she handled the situation so well) gave us two refund options, which I thought was very kind, and then quickly processed it. Mistakes are bound to happen, but how they dealt with the situation made the inconvenience much less of a hassle.

The best breadsticks and garlic cheese dip that you can get around the area. I believe you can drop in anytime to grab a bag of bread, so if you have never tried them, at least do that. Sometimes we will pickup a bag just to provide a carb to whatever meal we are eating that night, like homemade pasta or a simple home cooked salmon meal.

The breadsticks are always warm, buttery and with enough garlic salt to keep you wanting more.
Pizzas are decent, I wish the type of cheese they used would be more melty, but the flavors are all there, toppings taste fresh and abundant.

They have a few locations around the area, the original further down m-59, carry-out in white lake, carry-out in Clarkston, as well as sister restaurants like Gus' and Tomato Bros in other areas of the state. All with the same breadsticks.

They have the best homemade buffalo sauce for the chicken wings, also can't order food without ordering 2 bags of bread

The Greek Bowl was delicious. Spacious dining area. Courteous service team. Prompt food delivery. Tasty breadsticks. Good spacing between tables.

Friday night. No dine-in allowed. Where do you go for great carryout restaurant food? You need to go Highland Cafe. The line might be a little long, but they keep it moving quick and the food is really worth it.

Waiter was friendly and attentive, food tasted great. Fed a family of 5 for just under 💯.A round of breadsticks were provided for the family and meals came with soup/salad option. We ate chicken parmasean, fettinchini Alfredo with chicken, burger and fries, and x2 chicken finger baskets. 1 specialty drink, pink Moscow mule tasted great.

We have been going to Highland House and Highland House Carryout for years and this was one of the more enjoyable experiences.
There were two kind people working the counter who were awesome 👌🏼. Greek salad and breadsticks are our favorite, especially when the breadsticks are piping hot, squishy and full of garlic, which they were today! Janie pointed out a meal that accommodated our needs for the little one and we were grateful for her.

We ordered lasagna for two. It included enough lasagna for leftovers for another meal. It included a very large salad and an order of 12 garlic breadsticks with dip. We got a lot of food for the cost. This meal was great tasting, with excellent flavors. A superb meal and an excellent value. The staff was great too.

Always good and hot food. We always order carryout. All their food has pretty good deals. Breadsticks are great with the cheese dip and the best priced pizza around!!! Great broasted chicken!! They also cater events. A+

If I could give more stars I would. Excellent food and service. The salads are so delicious 😋. Bread sticks, pizza and lasagna are awesome too. I will definitely be back and I will tell all my friends and family to go there too😋 Thank you so much 😘

Highland House has been a go to place for my family for many, many years. Best Greek salad in Motown. I also love the salmon and planked whitefish. The pizza is great and have the prime rib, you won't be sorry. The new renovation was badly needed and it's beautiful now. Same family friendly place, terrific waitstaff and bartenders. Hosts try to accommodate everyone promptly and pleasantly. Love this place!!

We have been coming here since 1981 and we still rate Highland House as our favorite place to dine in the area.
Food is always consistent in quality, that's what keeps us coming back. From steaks to salads always first class.
Try for yourself and I'm sure that you will agree the food is great!

Service was excellent, the counter staff maintained their composure when they were busy.

The food was great! However, we asked for 3 small greek salads and they just gave us a large, which is fine cause it was actually cheaper and got more salad.

I would like to see that the salads are made fresh. Reason I say this is that, some people do not like or are allergic to beats or other toppings, and when mixed in the salad, the flavor resides within the salad, although removed.

Other than that, no real complaints here.

Highly recommend anything from here but more recently I ordered the LG. Chopped Italian salad, 32 pieces of chicken w BBQ & Lemon pepper sauces on the side and 2 bags of bread and sent it to a family gathering of 35 people in Livonia and they went NUTS for All of it! Thank You!!

All of the food from Highland House / Highland House Carry Out is AWESOME! The Greek Salad is my goto and they regularly have them in their grab n go case. Pro Tip: Get some breadsticks too!

Came here for 3 bags of their delicious breadsticks -- a great middleman in case you don't want to drive down to the actual restaurant. Drove all the way from Pontiac to this location for their breadsticks and was not disappointed!! Love this place!

Excellent. The pizza was the perfect consistency from crust to toppings. The breadsticks are crisp and the minestrone soup is a positive kind of unique. If I had one request, it would only be to add in some noodles, but that would simply be a plus! It was still great as is. :)
