El Tapatio of Rock Falls

Would give a 6/5 if possible, local hero Thaddeus was there. Also food was good. Very culturally enriching, would recommend to fellow Sterling/Rockfalls tourist.

Always love chicken enchiladas here! New decor, so bright. Server's are really friendly. Music is at the perfect listening level.

We carried out. Chicken Fajitas were phenomenal! Great mix of peppers and onions. Meal is large enough for 2 meals. Very good!

We arrived 9:30 pm almost at the closure time. We felt welcomed. Special shout out to the hostess that seat us and the kitchen lady, both were really kind.

** I do have to say after coming back for the lunch service the dinner service is much better this place could stand better work ethics during the lunch service. The chicken at lunch was really watered down with no flavor granted the free chips where hot at the table a really good the entire was lacking a while lot when it came to flavor.**

I don't typically like fried ice cream but my friend got it and made me try it and hands down the best fried ice cream in the world!!! (It doesn't seem to have the nasty cornflakes like everybody else's and I really like that)

Solid, authentic Mexican food. Good service, good food, and tables aren't crammed on top of each other so you have a little room between you and the best table. Unlike SOME restaurants.

The place was empty at lunch time on a Friday. Service was great. Chips were fresh and the salsa was really good. There are a TON of options on the menu. I suggest having some idea of what type of dish you want, and then go from there. I settled on the seafood fajitas. They arrived sizzling, and even the tortillas needed to cool a bit before I could comfortably pick them up. The fajitas were absolutely fantastic. Prices seemed just right.

Taco salad was off the chain. Came from Chicago to visit my friend and the food was real good. Especially being that I'm from Chicago were Mexican food is 🔥. 💯💯💯✌
