My dog Ziggy absolutely loves this clinic and the people working here! They are ALL so sweet and friendly. Ziggy gets overwhelming excited when he knows he is coming here! He actually never liked being in a vehicle until the first time we brought him here, now everytime we pass our car he tries to hop in!

++ the preventative care plans they offer save you a ton of money and help you keep your pet up to date w/ shots and things. I also feel that the overall prices are fair here.

We love this location ❤

Love the vet, Brandy, so sweet and knowledgeable. The entire clinic is clean, does not smell like strong animal scents, and everyone is friendly. You can tell they love what they do. My pup loves it there.

Care first animal hospital at Glenwood is the best! They are super friendly and very flexible with appointments and boarding. I feel very confident leaving my baby in their hands! I trust them 100% when making judgement calls with my baby. Thanks again for the great care and service you provide!

This past week we had to put our cat of 14 years down. It was certainly not easy on me what so ever. I came in crying and felt no judgment at all by the workers. The staff is very friendly and our vet talked us through the process which was very comforting. After we put our cat down, a week later we received a card signed by all the staff which made me feel happy. Just when I thought that was nice enough the following day they sent us flowers. Truly grateful for such a comforting experience. Happy my cat was in good hands. Thank you!

We are regulars. Freckles is on the preventative maintenance plan that has really saved him tons on his care the last 1.5 year. He is currently being treated for cancer and they have done an excellent job helping us maintain his comfort measures. Ketamine > Gabepentin … he struggled with the stomach irritation to anyone else looking at pain management.

I love Care First at Glenwood so much! They have taken such good care of all of my dog's needs, from grooming to vaccinations to boarding. Anytime he has fallen sick (as he has a very sensitive stomach), they set his appointment times at very early times that make it convenient and appropriate to be seen for his emergency. He's recently had some GI issues in which we've had to keep him at Care First for hospitalization for a few days, and the vet staff have gone above and beyond for my baby. Thank you, Care First!

About a year and a half ago, we took our cat Moana here on a Sunday when our regular vet was closed. They were compassionate and kind as they referred us to NC State where she was treated for an unknown autoimmune condition. A few days after her initial visit, they called us to follow up and see how she was doing and if there was anything they could do to support us, which was already above and beyond. Last week, Moana passed away from her condition after NC State managed her care for a year and a half. We asked them to let the vets on file know what happened since we couldn't bring ourselves to do it. I guess NC State still had Care First attached to her file because today I received the sweetest card from Care First Glenwood with personalized notes from their entire staff. It truly brought a tear to my eye to think that they cared enough to send a card -- something our normal vet hasn't even done -- even though they hadn't seen us since that day in December 2021. We will never forget this kindness and will definitely bring in our future furbabies here when we feel ready to adopt again.

Staff didn't have to but stayed 5 minutes after close post-holiday weekend just so I could pick up my pup as planned despite my flight getting delayed. They made what could've been a much more stressful experience much easier for me and my pet, who was very grateful to get to spend her night at home. Wonderful!

The Care First Glenwood team were our care providers for the last year of our elderly dog's life, after years of using other vets who charged more and with less transparency, without a noticeable difference in the level of care provided.

When the time came to say goodbye to our pet, Dr. Ortiz was a gracious partner, who treated us both--my dog and myself--with kindness and compassion. I am grateful for her and for the Care First team.

I recently went to this location and had a visit for my elderly cat. It was indeed time to say good bye to my Missy Girl, although it was a hard decision, the care that Dr. Moats and Jesse showed me and my cat was unmatched. They listened to my concerns, gave me honest information and ALL information and options to make this decision. They showed professionalism, kindness, knowledge, care, and all the great words. Although I am sad to have met these two human in this way. I know from the get go Missy was in great hands. Thank you both so much for helping me through this hard day. It truly helps more than you know. If I end up getting another pet I WILL be coming back to this Vet and this team. Highly recommend!

On June 14th I had to say goodbye to the one thing in this world that made me smile and gave me JOY, her name was Abigail aka Abbi. She was my family's little princess that we loved and spoiled rotten from the moment we were blessed with her at 7 weeks until she took her last breath being 12 years old. From the moment I called Care First to inquire about the "procedure/steps" of laying our furrbaby to rest, the staff was so understanding and compassionate as well as thorough with explaining everything. Unless you're an animal lover and owner/pet parent, you would never fully understand the BOND and LOVE one has with their pet. It's been a month now since I had to say goodbye to Abbi and it's been really hard. As I was sitting at my desk looking at some of our pictures/memories etc. I was called down to the security desk in my office building...there were flowers that had been delivered from Care First, this made my day and lifted my spirits when I really needed it most. I don't have any children and losing my babygirl has been really challenging for me, so thank you guys. I've been looking for another puppy to love but at this time can't afford what most breeders are asking. Just got a part-time job so that I can start saving up money to buy another puppy/babygirl, so wish me luck :-)....CARE FIRST staff, you will forever be in my heart and you will be my new pups caregiver. Thank you again for everything! God bless everyone that reads this...TAKE CARE everyone and BE SAFE

The Carefirst staff are caring and efficient. My cat, Jolee, ate a 16 inch string and I brought her to Care first immediately. They were super fast in treating my girl and were able to get the string back up.

HIGHLY recommend. Care First at Glenwood took care of my fur baby as if he were their own! Dr. Mendise calmly talked me through a potential difficult diagnosis and assured me that we would find the best plan of treatment. Every Vet Tech I have encountered there has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel supported and that your pet is cared for. Family feel with incredible knowledge and expertise!

This is the only trusted vet for me. They diagnosed, and listened to my concerns, about my dog who has mega esophagus. They take their time to explain things to me, and walk through anything I need help with. I highly recommend any of their locations, but Moreno the one on Glenwood

The Vets are knowledgeable, patient, kind and prompt. The reception is the same! I had a very sick older cat and they tried everything to save him, but his Diabetes had already caused so much damage to his little system. He crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and they were understanding and so kind to me. I recommend this practice because to me COMPASSION should be at the top of a Veterinary's list when caring for our pets and Care First on Glenwood Avenue did that and made a sad situation more beautiful. I cannot thank them enough!💞💔

This vet takes care of two of my dogs and they’ve done a phenomenal job! Their curbside service take a little while, but they make up for it with their high level of communication.

Update: Care First also offers services like boarding, grooming, day care, and training. We’ve now used their grooming service and it’s amazing! It’s cheaper than PetCo and my female dog came out SO FLUFFY. She was so beautiful I’ve signed my male dog up for grooming there as well.

My trust was broken badly by other vets this year and I was scared of taking my cats to the vet after. I took my two kitties pippen and jojo here after they caught a cold and they are amazing. Even though it wasn’t anything too serious they made us feel important and listened to everything we had to say, and even called and checked up on them. Will only be using this office from here on out!

Jane went out of her way to groom my special needs dog with love and compassion. The extent she went and time she took to make sure he was safe and comfortable during his groom was absolutely outstanding. He is very reactive and scared during grooming, and she did an incredible job on the groom and kept him calm. I'm beyond grateful for her and can't recommend her enough. Truly thankful for her!!
