Pork tenderloin sandwich is great. Cheddar bites are tasty. Pizza burger is new thing in my life but is crunchy goodness. Folks there are super nice.

Excellent small family owned diner. Spent weeks looking for a quality tenderloin before I finally ate here and found The Best Tenderloin in all of grinnell. Also don't miss out the proud lose meat sandwiches they've been serving for decades. Don't listen to the reviews from the Karen's and punks to broke to afford covid inflation. Service is speedy with friendly workers who want nothing but to make sure you leave completely satisfied.

Had two loose meat burgers with everything on them! They were absolutely delicious! I could eat 20 of them darn things had I not had to go back to work! We gotta keep supporting these local family ran businesses! Brandon his boys and their staff do a great job! Much rather give them my money than a chain!

Great tenderloin sticking way out from the bun. Old school milkshakes in the metal containers. Chili a little too tomatoee. Tiny diner with vinyl booths. Love this place.

We've lived in the area for 40+ years, and this is the first time we've tried Montgomery's. We got take-out this afternoon, and we were very pleased. The service was FAST, and the person who took our order was polite and efficient. The cafe was very clean, and the food was really, really good! The loose-meat sandwiches were not at all greasy, and the flavor was perfect. The fries were good, too. We'll go there again!

Came in for the first day of fall special. Hit the Beef and Noodles over mashed potatoes and it was awesome. I’d come back here without hesitation. Staff were very friendly and prompt.

Best loose meat sandwich you can ever find. The service is the best. The shakes are great. Above all though, the sweet corn cheese balls....untouchable. Highly recommend adjusting your drive to be able to swing by and get a great lunch.

My sandwich was good (I got the open face sandwich with fries and cheese sauce on top) and priced very well. Service was quick. Environment was dinerish and fit perfectly. If I get back there, I'll try a shake/malt as they sounded delicious and definitely looked to be genuinely homemade.

The place is great. Great food, great service fast and friendly, welcoming, great atmosphere. You can get a sandwich that is like a Maid Rite. And other great sandwich items. I only looked at the sandwich part of the menu. Don't know what else they have.

Fun place to stop. Only 8 minutes off I80, yummy food, good shakes, and nice prices. Read the menu beforehand online. All good choices. Burgers are loose meat, which was new to us, but very tasty.

Even tho they were quite busy, tables were cleaned promptly and service was fast and friendly. Food was good.

Every time we visit Grinnell, we have to stop for a made rite sandwich! The only thing that could make it better, is if they introduce the original candy land recipe to their menu!!

Went for lunch and there was tables and stools @ the counter available.
Small resturant, great food. It eas our 1st time, but wont be our last!!
