I gave away all of my living room furniture except one chair in January, because I thought I was going to move out of state and I didn’t. I went to several places in the metro area, several times each and couldn’t find what I wanted. I went out to Messenger‘s in Ottawa. The best decision I ever made. The furniture is made in the United States and I was able to custom order a sofa, chair and ottoman and it was perfect. It wasn’t any more expensive than the least expensive place in the metro. Shelie helped me pick out everything and it’s perfect. She has a great eye for design and really listened to my needs. Phil delivered it and he even lined up my sofa with my antique mirror, without me saying a word. I noticed and appreciated your professionalism and even your neatly pressed khaki pants, shirt and even your neatly trimmed hair. I didn’t know that you were the owner!! Lol I also bought a 3 piece dining set that is perfect for me. You can’t ask for better service than this.

The salesperson was very helpful friendly and answered all our questions. We purchased a mattress set and price was good. They delivered and set it all up.

Store was very clean and open space, you could see across the store. We meet Phil who helped us find a matress and bed frame. He was very knowledgeable and a super nice person to talk to. Everyone I saw in the store was wearing a face mask, even the customers. I 100% recommend messengers for everyone near the ottawa area to purchase furniture.

So much better than Big Box stores. Stand behind their furniture, unlike Nebraska Furniture Mart. Great selection of furniture in stock, able to order different colors and fabrics in short time frame. Makes you feel like family, not pushy at all. You can't go wrong buying your furniture from Messengers

This is the best furniture store around. Their layaway plan is so reasonable. They care that you are getting a quality product. We have purchased two pieces of furniture from them and they have delivered; they have not let us down.

Thanks to a small town business Messenger's. Phil has always been there for us. We've used them for 15 years now. Phil has always gone above and beyond to take care of us. From beds, dressers, recliners, to now washer and dryer! We decided to get a Speed Queen washer and dryer because our front load quit late on a Sunday night. We needed basketball uniforms washed for games on Monday night. Messenger's didn't have any delivery guys working Monday morning so Phil delivered them himself! You will NOT find that service anywhere else! Their loyalty to customers is top notch and I personally can't thank them enough for helping us decide on great quality furniture and appliances!

We purchased a Serta I Series mattress from Messenger's home furnishings. The knowledgeable staff provided patient, personal attention and excellent information that enabled us to make an informed decision. The delivery was flawless and on time. We could not be happier.

My husband and I bought two Serta XLTWIN Genius mattresses with 2 Ergo Motion adjustable bases because my husband has back issues. From the first night we have both slept better than ever and we love the massage for relaxing. This set was somewhat expensive, but worth every cent. This will most likely be our last bed set because it is so awesome. We also loved the personal care and service we received at Messenger's. The other thing we noticed was the quality of furnishings and the very reasonable prices. We would shop Messenger's before going to a big box store any day. Thank you for an exceptional experience.

If you are looking for fair prices and knowledgable sales staff, do yourself a favor and drive to Ottawa KS and visit this furniture store. it is owned by a husband and wife and is well stocked with floor samples. We recently purchased furniture from this family owned store after stopping first at the three major retailers (Crowley, Furniture Mall of Kansas and Nebraska Furniture Mart) and realized we made to right choice on buying from Messenger Home Furnishings. They sell all the major brands that the big three stores sell only difference is, they sell it at a better price and the personal service makes it even better. Enough said.

I had a great experience buying mattresses. I felt good about the money I spent. They stayed within my budget and I still got quality!! I can't wait for my mattresses to be delivered!!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff! The pricing is a little high but you pay for what you get, which is quality on all their furniture. Plus it's locally owned.

Furniture and service is great. Went in to buy a couch set and was treated as though we were long time friends and left with the couch and kitchen table and chair set, we also left the establishment happy and feeling great about our purchase.
