Super 8 by Wyndham Ottawa

I hadn't expected to be in this area, but it was getting late and I searched for a reasonably priced hotel. This one came up with good ratings, so I decided to go for it.
I was pleasantly amazed at how clean and spacious the room was. The entire place, as far as I saw, was clean, even the carpets and the elevator. My room was quiet, there was lots of water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room fridge worked well, as did the freezer compartment. I had no trouble with internet or anything else.
Lastly, I'd inadvertently left my car unlocked overnight, and it wasn't touched, so a relatively safe area to boot.
I didn't have breakfast there, so I can't say how theirs is, but everything else was just delightful.

When I showed up my reservation was a mess had to change 3 times (my fault) the guy behind the counter remained helpful and pleasant the whole time even though I messed up twice very nice guy

Staff was super kind. The light by our bed did work and he was down in just a minute and replaced it. I couldn't figure out the TV but he helped me understand. It has been recently updated. Super clean, hallway was warm but our room was nice and cool when we walked in and that was a refreshing welcome when we arrived in this100 degree weather. Great room for a great price. We will be back!

FINALLY we found a nice place to stay in Ottawa! Experiences with other hotel/motel chains in town have been ghastly - we will gladly stay at Super 8 Ottawa from now on! The customer service was simply excellent from the family that runs this location. We were in town for a funeral and walked out of another hotel we had booked due to atrocious conditions, and called Super 8 hoping they had vacancy. The lady who answered was extremely easy to work with, said to come on over, okayed late check-in, and didn't even require a credit card over the phone to hold two rooms. We were so grateful that this laid back and friendly service continued, as our stay lengthened into almost a week. We didn't have a single problem the whole time! The room was nice; beds were comfy with plenty of pillows; the A/C worked well; we never ran out of hot water; towels and room cleaning were provided with no concerns; and the check-in and checkout processes were smooth and friendly. I am very happy to recommend this establishment, and our family will continue to bring our business here when in Ottawa!

It was a pleasant experience. Our room was perfect, the bed was very comfortable with huge pillows. Our bathroom was handicapped equipped which was perfect, I've had lower back pain for almost a week, the rails inside the shower etc was most helpful. The staff were very friendly. I will book with them in the future.

Really nice bed and the room was adequate. They did disclose lack of services because of Covid but I just think they’re trying to save money.

Super clean, great firm queen beds, super quiet heat/ac, great fridge and clean and runs quiet. Everything was like brand new. Sink and toilets and tub drained perfect. Good breakfast. 5 stars deserved with no doubt!

Hotel was full when we stayed there, the staff was friendly and cooperative. Breakfast had the usual the pancakes were a little weak. The biscuits and gravy I liked it my wife didn't middle-of-the-road stuff. I had cereal apples and mini muffins. Off the main street in town well let me go to find a Night. And then a parking lot was safe and well-lighted.

I absolutely love staying here! I’m a truck driver and they have truck parking! The staff is always pleasant and happy to see me when I come! They have laundry facilities for their customers, free Wi-Fi and breakfast every morning! Plus an indoor pool to boot!
It’s one thing to have a favorite place to stay when in Ottawa, KS; but when it’s your dog’s favorite place as well - WOW!

Run by a family, all so helpful, kind and always smiling. Our room was clean, beds nice and firm. Plenty of hot water. We will stay here again. Great price too.

Great room for the price. Very clean. Front desk was friendly. Wifi was kinda slow, but its 2 star hotel. Towels and bedding were clean and fresh looking. A con I would give is needs to better with salting the icy entrance.

I am a truck driver on the road. I arrived to an exceptionally clean and nice place. The owners have updated this hotel, my room was spotless, no oder of any sorts, no cigarette stains in furniture or bedding, NO BUGS. This will be my go to anytime I am in this area. By the way for all the truck drivers, they do have truck parking.

The staff here is very friendly and extremely helpful… I was traveling just me and my 9 year old daughter and was worried about safety/crime rate so I called ahead and the gentleman at the desk was willing to answer ALL my questions(which I thought was nice enough) but when I finally made it to the hotel(which was after midnight) he remembered speaking with me about my concerns and had booked us in a room right by the door and with a window that I would be able to see my car from and could pull right up to.
I REALLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY IN THE AREA!!

I just arrived at the Super 8 with low expectations because the rate was so low. I walk in and am shockingly surprised how nice it is. The room is already at a comfortable temperature. It's very large and we'll insulated and quiet. Best of all there are no bad smells. The lady at the counter was exceptionally friendly.

Great place to stay an get some good rest. Very quiet and clean. Good water pressure. Will try an breakfast in the morning. Very comfortable bed. We will stay here for again. We are commercial drivers. Great price for a great night's sleep. We would recommend this motel for any one who wants a great rest.

It was an amazing stay. I have spent alot of nights In hotels in the last couple of years and this was the best experience I've had in that time. The people who work there were great, and the room was perfect and the price was right where it should have been.

They took very good care of me while I was there for an extended stay for work. Room was always clean when I got back from work always had fresh towels and it was nice that they have a washer and dryer since I am not familiar with the area.

Ok guys it's an older property but the competition was asking 290 per room and good old super 8 came in at about 119 .the rooms were clean,my sheets looked new and I slept very well..the staff was super friendly even though they had a power outage no fault of there own..there's a Applebee's within easy walking distance I would stay here again

This motel is very clean and the staff is very passionate about their customer services. This motel is right off highway
35 and 59. There is also an Applebees with in walking distance across the parking lot. We will stay again when we come into town.

Friendly staff, neat, clean rooms, with excellent pillows and comfortable beds for a great night sleep.
