Kinley Chattanooga Southside, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Booked a night to celebrate our engagement and to see a comedy show in town. Elisa reached out before we arrived to see if she could help with our stay. She helped with reservations at the speakeasy, made us feel extra special, and all around helped us have a fabulous stay. We loved the hotel vibe and location. Lots of great restaurants and shops around the area and easy to get where we needed to go. Will definitely make this our go to place in Chattanooga! Thanks Kinley Hotel and Elisa!

This is a small boutique hotel chocked full of charm and style. The hidden speakeasy bar is not to be missed and the morning coffee bar is a great way to start the day. The rooms are small but I was super impressed with how well the space was allocated and all the storage. Most importantly the room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is pet friendly too and in walking distance of shopping and food options that are pet friendly as well (example: Frothy Monkey and Niedlov). This hotel is one of my favorites in Chattanooga and I’m sure we’ll be back.

I checked into the Kinley this afternoon after a long travel day and have to say this is one of the friendliest welcomes I have received from a Marriott property since pre Covid. Prior to my arrival Elisa reached out to me to see if I needed anything or had any special requests. After a short email exchange she provided me a free restaurant recommendations for the two days I was in town. Upon arrival, Emma was super friendly and more than willing to point me in the right direction for a fabulous dinner at St. John’s. While headed out to dinner I asked if possible to get an iron (none in room) and Emma did not hesitate in saying she would figure something out. Upon returning from dinner, not only did she remember and flag me down, but called me by name. Wow!! Definitely adding the Kinley to my hotel of choice when in the Chattanooga area.

I’m not sure if management knows it or not, but they have two rock star customer service oriented people here making a huge impact on their customers. Not only did they make sure to go above and beyond, but they just earned you a repeat customer. These ladies deserve a HUGE gold star!!

My stay is just beginning but can only imagine what the customer service will be like during the rest of my stay after this first impression.

Everything was fantastic about our stay. We loved the location, and the staff was amazing. The cocktails we had at The Company and the coffees we had at The Exchange were absolutely fantastic. We were able to use the hotel's gym which was nice and very convenient. We really loved the special touch of Kate reaching out to us before our stay. We really appreciated that the Kinley allowed us to bring our dog and really exceeded our expectations as far as ambience and cleanliness. We will definitely be visiting again.

Everything was nice! I loved the bright room with the big windows. The bed was very comfortable . The only thing I found was a little dust on the shelves.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Smaller hotel with some posh modern vibes. Rooms are lovely, and the hotel is located near the Chattanooga Choo Choo. There's a good bit nearby, and the city is incredibly walkable, so it's not hard to get to other things downtown. Parking is across from the hotel in a parking deck. Walls are a bit thin and you can hear some noise from the street, so the only downside is that we heard fire trucks all night since it's on a main road. Apparently no one knew how to use a fire extinguisher that weekend.

So many cool things to do around the hotel! There is a whiskey distillery walking distance. Next to that is a hot chocolate place. So perf for some family fun or adult fun!

Great staff. Wonderful food. Loved the speak easy with it's knowledgeable bar staff and excellent cocktails.
Room okay. We only needed to sleep in it so we didn't need super spacious or fancy.
Noise some nights from nearby fire station.
Near some good restaurants especially "Niedluv's" or "Frothy Monkey" for breakfast. Long walk to river bank but we like walking.
Walks in the mountains and Ruby Falls a short drive away.

We loved this place.. so conveniently located. Very cozy but nice room with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the speakeasy. Nice body wash in the shower. Having some lotion in the room would have been nice. I forgot mine.

The hotel is modern and super clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Rooms are not large but are cozy and modern at the same time. Hotel and rooms were very clean and well taken care of

Reserved a room for my wife and I for a weekend getaway and loved our stay. The valet service was excellent and made starting our stay very convenient. Check-in was quick and painless. Our room was very clean, modern, and quiet with a great view of Market Street (highly recommend the top floor). The location of the hotel and the proximity to restaurants, and bars was one of the reasons we decided to stay here, and we were not disappointed.

We recently stayed at The Kinley and it was wonderful. I wanted to give some kudos to your staff. We arrived and were greeted by Elisa. She was so friendly and cheerful. We put our things in our room and came back down to grab a drink in your speakeasy. What a fun place! We’re a bit picky when it comes to cocktails, and I wanted to give you a big thumbs up on your espresso martini. We’ve had them all over town (we live here and were just staying at the hotel because we were attending a music event nearby), and your bar man made one of the best we’ve had. On the way out we had a chance to speak with her again and had a lovely conversation. She was very informative about the rental procedures for the speakeasy. We have been thinking about having a little bit of a soirée for my wife’s 50th birthday coming up, so we asked a lot of questions and she referred us to your sales department, and gave us a business card. The next morning we came downstairs and had a lovely chat with Mo at the bar. I heard her speaking with other customers, and she was incredibly informative and gave tips that people from out of town could really use about attending local attractions. Your coffee was great to boot. Then we struck up a conversation with Scot in the lobby. We spoke with this incredibly fun and knowledgeable guy for half an hour. He also gave us some more information about your hotel and the speakeasy, all the while taking care of other guests, quickly, and with the same efficiency we experienced when we checked in. We went back up to the room to get ready to depart, and when we returned, had another great conversation with Scot before the valet brought our cars. He is really excellent at guest services, and I hope we get to see him again when we come back. Which we totally will! This was a great stay, and I will highly recommend it to any of our out-of-town friends coming to visit. And I will totally tell them to ask for Scot if they have any requests. My wife and I love coming to Chattanooga, but we usually stay with family. This time, we wanted to try a hotel in the city. The Kinley was a great spot - it was in the mix of everything, while still being quiet and relaxing. The staff was kind and welcoming, and we loved the coffee/cocktail bar in the lobby! Great decor and style - nice, but not stuffy! We will be back.

Excellent Hotel! I stay here multiple times per month for work. There is a parking garage across the street so you don't have to Valet. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. The beds are great, they have a Peloton, the speak easy bar has wonderful drinks/food. The rooms are modern and cozy. Would recommend for business travelers or folks on vacation. Thank you Kinley staff for always being so accommodating!

My husband and I were in the Kinley Hotel this past weekend. We sat at the front bar and our bar tender Madi was amazing! She was so sweet and fun! The drinks were so good! She made a Gold Rush for my husband and he loved it! My martni was so great! It was a very nice evening! We had a great time thanks to Madi! :)

Top notch hotel, would definitely stay here again. The staff were all excellent. Fast and courteous valet service. Great location with an easy walk to several restaurants or free electric bus service right across the street. The hotel bar/restaurant has FANTASTIC breakfast. There's even a speak easy we only had time to check out briefly one evening but want to visit again - I'm sure the food is good.

Some rooms are smaller but that doesn't bother us. Book a bigger one if you need it. In the bunk bed rooms the top bunk are for kids or small framed adults.

Would absolutely stay here again on a future trip through Chattanooga.

They were so kind to decorate our room for a birthday!!

LOVED my visit to Chattanooga and this hotel was the main reason why! Not only is it gorgeous and perfectly appointed but the customer service is above and beyond. Lacey, Victoria, and Rachel at the front desk are so kind and informative. The men at valet- Timmy and Ben we fast and so so helpful and extremely nice! And Mo working at the little restaurant was just a doll and made dining a joy! The food was AMAZING and the speak easy was such a fun surprise! I will definitely be back! Thanks again!!

You have to stay at the Kinley next time you're in Chattanooga! The hotel is very homey and modern, food is amazing, and it's an easy walk to a lot of great spots. Had no idea there was a speak easy until we arrived which was such a cool touch. The front lobby bar / mini restaurant was the easiest place to get a nice drink or an easy breakfast.

The staff was absolutely incredible. Our car happened to experience an unforeseen issue while parked with the valet overnight. The valet manager, Sam, took matters into his own hands and went above and beyond for us before we even knew the cause of the issue by getting our car to the repair shop. The entire staff helped us tremendously as our plans to leave town had to change with the delay.

I will always stay here whenever I come to Chattanooga! Best weekend trip!

Stayed for a new nights while visiting Chattanooga for the first time, it’s in a great location and kept very clean and neat. Mo was a delight at breakfast bringing her amazing energy daily and making sure I was taken care of.

The speakeasy is a nice touch too. Defs would stay again!
