Durham County Library - North Regional Library

Durham Chess club meets 2nd and 4th Saturday afternoons from 1:30 to 5:30.
Players of all ages and abilities play for fun.
It's a great library with quite a selection of DVDS as well as traditional books.
Spring cherry blossoms are blooming now.

This library is small compared to downtown but still seems to have a good selection and the librarians are always really sweet and very helpful to our boys.
This is 1 story facility.
There are private meetings rooms but they are locked so I think you have to reserve ahead and get the staff to open.

I grew up coming to this library after school and checked out books for leisure or playing computer games. My fun experience hasn't changed since my childhood. They have a nice variety of literature for young adults (my demographic) as well as children reads.

Our favorite Durham Library branch. Staff is friendly and helpful. Books, movies, and magazines are all available for self checkout. You can also download ebooks and audiobooks. Computers are available for use. There is an extensive children’s collection which even includes puzzles. A teen section gets very busy when the neighboring middle school has finished with classes on weekdays.
Meeting rooms are available to reserve. Outdoor seating is also available. Check their website for classes, programs and book discussions.
Plenty of free parking is available with two spaces reserved for electric vehicle charging. The chargers are currently free. The library is also an early voting site, so it can be busy around elections.

Great library - especially for kids. My six year old figured out that he could ask a librarian anything, and now he heads straight for the desk every time we go in, and they tolerate and encourage him every time he shows up.

Nice library - clean, well organized and super friendly staff.
The real GEM here though is Miss Molly’s Storytime! Every Wednesday Miss Molly is so engaging - she’s a skilled reader with so much personality. She keeps the kids active and interested - truly the best story time we’ve ever been to. My 16mo old loves her!

I absolutely love all of the Durham Public Libraries.
But this Particular library is a nice size and the staff is very personal with assisting your needs and finding a book.. The children's and teens department is well equipped in providing not only books but other resources for children to be able to enjoy.. This library has a lot of the same features of Durham main library but it's just smaller. All of the staff is very helpful and all about making sure you receive service while you are in the library.

Everything beautifully arranged and the staff are very helpful. I love the system of putting books on hold on the web & checking them out myself. I’m in & out in a few minutes.

The experience at the Durham County Library was wonderful. I received my new library card and an orientation of the North Regional location. Thanks folks and keep up the Great job.

One of the best perks of living in Durham! Excellent services available across the branches and online. The staff at this location are especially friendly and helpful!

Love this library! Children’s section is fantastic and we love bringing my daughter to the kinderbaby sessions. All for free!
