Nick's Restaurant

First time eating here and will not be the last. Started out with the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. Was a great combination. Then Had the chicken tenders with some heat. Wasn’t very hot to me but had a great taste. Slaw was excellent. I had the spicy wedges and seemed to me like they could use some more ingredients to add to the flavor than just a little bit of cayenne pepper. Overall, great experience, atmosphere, service and food.

Nick’s has a great atmosphere and excellent service as soon as you walk in the door. We loves the potato wedges with french onion dip! The OG flavor tenders and nuggets were great, the hot hen was a good spice level without being uncomfortable. The carrot confection and baked beans were our favorite sides. The bone in chicken leg was a little tough, but the thigh was cooked well. They have lots of seating options, a great bar and outdoor areas, comfortable chairs, and cute and clean bathrooms. Definitely a place we'll visit again.

The ambiance was really nice and the food was great. We were greeted by Maddie and she walked us to our table. Our server Nate was amazing and he really took care of us. One of the ladies in our party didn’t eat meat and he helped her find other options on the menu. When we paid for our meals Maddie asked us how our experience was and offered for us to complete the survey. We even had an opportunity to talk to the owner. Overall a great experience.

Scrumptious meal! We were able to sit out on the patio and it was the perfect evening to do so. The chicken was delicious along with the burger and tots! I got the fig chicken sandwich and loved the sweet and savory flavors that came with it. We can’t wait to go back and try it again.

The food is beyond memorable. It’s nostalgia for a place I’ve never been to until today. The fried chicken is fried to perfection and it’s not as greasy as one might think. Considering that the chicken is still juicy. I had the hottest sauce and it’s by far flavorful and has just the right amount of heat. Would recommend 10/10 if you’re coming to Tennessee. Yours truly…a fellow Texan.

Exceptional service from Maddie and the host. The sides, particularly the carrot souffle, were phenomenal. The coconut blood orange margarita was a delightful surprise and truly unique. The chicken livers are easily the best in the area. Highly recommended and looking forward to returning when I visit!

Rachel L. was an excellent and friendly server. She came back to our table numerous times. Their fried chicken had a nice think batter and was moist and tasty. Their side dishes were delicious. I had the carrot confection side dish, which is a casserole style. Also, their baked beans, green beans and sweet potato were delicious as well. The restaurant is nicely decorated with articifical plants, decorative lights and big windows. They have an artificial turf area outside for miniature golf and other games by heir patio tables.

Nick's chicken is awesome. I especially loved blood orange sweet tea. Highly recommend. Our server Rachel was awesome. The food is always fresh. The atmosphere is the best and they have trivia nights on Tuesdays. We absolutely love the hot hen nuggets and pickle dip

First time going to Nick’s and WOW! This restaurant is the absolute CUTEST! Our waitress was Maddie and she was great. The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had. Fried green tomatoes were bomb (that blackberry jam was on point). Mac n cheese and fries were delicious as well. We can’t say enough about this spot. We sat inside but the outside patio has putt-putt and giant games. Such a great vibe and the staff were so friendly.

My only complaint was that the place was a bit loud. Beyond that it was amazing. I had the Get Figgy With It burger and my husband had the tenders and both were amazing. The tenders were large and well cooked, and the flavor on the burger was far past what I expected.
Allie, our waitress, was attentive and super friendly with answers to all our questions. Service was obviously great.
It was such a surprise, especially has I've lived here my whole life and never tried it.
We will be back!

This was our first time eating here and it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant is so pretty, our waiter Kenny was very attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. We will absolutely eat there again!

My husband and I had an outstanding first experience at Nick’s and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! The food is simply exceptional. The Banana Pudding and Pimento Mac & Cheese are absolutely to die for—rich, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. The sweet tea was perfectly brewed and refreshing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, creating a beautiful setting for a meal.

What truly sets Nick’s apart, though, is the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of delicious food, great drinks, lovely ambiance, and top-notch service.

We wholeheartedly recommend Nick’s to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Amazing little place! Our service was top notch! Maci did an amazing job! We got several Craft Cocktails! I highly recommend the Banana Pudding Martini and the Coconut Blood Orange Margarita. Their fried green tomatoes were fantastic! Especially with the jam on it! The dinner was delicious as well!

We came for lunch on a Friday. Our food was hot, delicious, and prompt. We love the potato wedges with French onion dip, waffles, nuggets and strips, and the carrot confection is to die for. Our service from Nate was excellent. He was extremely helpful and was very kind to us. We will certainly be back!

We LOVE Nicks. The location is absolutely beautiful, we can’t wait to sit on the patio when the weather warms up. If you are a pickle lover, you have to try the spicy dill pickle margarita and hot nuggets with pickle dip. Allie was wonderful.

Don’t be fooled by the first photo Google Maps shows you this place is super cute. We chose Nick’s based on the shortlist on the Kingsport tourism website and it did not lead us astray!! Can’t go wrong with the classic tenders meal, my brother and I were extremely sad to see we wouldn’t be able to fit in another visit for a chicken and waffles brunch on our brief stay 🥲. If getting the blood orange iced tea, be prepared for a treat, but consider asking for half sweet if you are not a native southerner (I am not, and I was not prepared).

For this trip to Nick’s I had the Grilled Chicken Dinner “south of the border” style. It was extremely tasty. Kenny, our server, provided outstanding service and kept the drinks full and updated on the progress of our order. Will be ordering this again for sure.

Went to the new location of Nick's. Heard it was great by my co-workers. Loved the atmosphere. Tried the 38 Special chicken sandwich and it was delicious and the chicken was seasoned so well. We also tried their version of fried green tomatoes and thoroughly enjoyed those too. Look forward to going back!

Found this restaurant a week ago and loved it! Today was our 37th wedding anniversary and I wanted the figgy burger and carrot soufflé. Nicks did not disappoint. “Rachel” was our server and she is good at her job. Thank again for a lovely experience

Kaleig H. was a dream!! Attentive without being to attentive. Such a happy medium. The vibe of this place was so calming. I loved it. Now let’s talk food!! Best chicken ever. I had the nuggets with beans and parm fries. Hubby had tenders with wedges and beans. The beans were a solid 8.2 and everything else was a solid 10!!! I’ve been dreaming of going back since I walked out the door.
