I stayed here for business for three separate weeks. The full-fat Marriott left a lot to be desired, so I kept moving around, trying other hotels. The Aloft was often over my travel allowance per day.

The rooms are pretty nice and I especially like the versatility of the shower. The room fridge is perhaps the best I've ever seen and I hate that I didn't get the brand, as I need one for myself. The misty flame in the lobby was so intriguing, I purchased a far smaller version for myself.

Some great and okay dining options are within walking distance, so I didn't have to drive anywhere once I parked after work.

Fantastic location. Felt safe the whole stay. Several food spots in walking distance (Heavenly Buffalo was by far the best — give it a try!). Was able to take Uber/Lyft for under $10 just about everywhere we needed to go, the airport however was understandably more. Hotel was clean and beautiful! Check in and out was quick and easy. We did not eat at the hotel due to other reviews stating it was over priced for what was offered. The only complaint we really had was that we called down to the front desk around 10am and asked for different, firmer, pillows. Were told they had some and would bring them right up. Called again at 2pm and was told again they would bring them right up. 6pm rolled around so I went down to the front desk to get it handled. They brought the pillows around 7pm, but they were the same as what was already in the room. No fault to the hotel if they didn’t have different pillows, but we waited all day to be let down and ended up purchasing and having Target deliver us a pillow (and snacks) at 9pm. Also, the coffee maker in the room had mold in it so was not able to use… but there is a breakfast place and Dunkin Donuts walking distance so didn’t bother us. Overall it was a great stay, we would stay here again!

Super nice hotel, close to Duke Medical Center, very friendly people, nice bar and small plates. Highly recommended. A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. 5 stars all the way.

A beautiful, newer hotel in the heart of everything. Big rooms, locking safe, superb bathroom and shower. Five stars!

Excellent facilities and the property is maintained immaculately, with excellent ambiance, lighting design of rooms and even the room fresheners. Staff is friendly, helpful. Standard queen bed rooms are large for 2, and bathrooms are very clean too. Parking on multiple levels is convenient, and overflow parking to the premises nearby is also good. Walking distance from Duke and Duke hospital and all major university west campus locations. Plenty of duke and triangle go buses are also available. The hotel offers bikes too. Certainly will be back!

Great hotel! Excellent location near Duke University Hospital. We checked in and Ebony at the front desk was great. Efficient check-in and great directions regarding the hotel. As we bought items like water and snacks from the in-hotel convenience store Ebony recognized us and said hello. She made us feel welcome. Beds were comfortable, showers have great pressure and offer both a rain-ish shower and the traditional fixed head option. The room was very quiet and had plenty of outlets and ports for all of our devices. Best surprise was the hotel bar with great drinks and a killer bar tended by Randy who offered both unique and traditional drinks with skill and speed. There was food available but we did not order any, wish we had. I wish they made it more clear food was available. I bet the food matches the rest of the hotel, which beats expectations at every turn.

I am officially an AC Hotel fan girl.
We had the privilege of staying here for four nights during our move from Denver to NC and I can easily say it was the best part of our move so far. We were originally scheduled to stay at a Residence Inn, but with a sudden announcement of change of ownership, we changed our plans and I am so glad I did. It is in a prime area with great patio dining spaces, and tons of delivery options. Very central to the airport as well as downtown Chapel Hill and Durham!

Bobby, Henry, and Brianna at the front desk were absolute gems. We have a rescue dog (Tinsley), and my biggest fear was traveling with her, but once we made it to the hotel she was treated like a celebrity and absolutely was living her best life! She loved getting treats from the front desk and was absolutely at ease at this truly pet friendly establishment.

I have traveled a lot since COVID, and I can honestly say that AC hotels have reinstilled my faith in the hospitality industry. The staff, the cleanliness (Mmmm the smell!) and the overall feel, make me say “ahh, yes, I am at a HOTEL!” Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming (affirming our choice to move here!).

As someone who travels a lot for work personally, and does ADA consulting for national meetings, I pay a lot of attention to accessibility and the AC gets it right. My husband is a wheelchair user and for the first time in a long time, the two rooms we reserved met all of our needs. The bed, peephole, and thermostat were at a reasonable height and the bathroom was glorious. Plus THE SPACE! Sometimes ADA rooms claim to be, but are barely big enough for a mobility device. Our ADA room was about the same size as our first studio apartment, and to be honest, I will be a little sad to leave. We reserved two rooms, as my sister was traveling with us, and Bobby not only made sure we were near each other and close to the elevator, but literally next to each other which was a huge convenience. The ice machine, and hydration station were close by and easy to access, even as someone of short stature. Plus, an ADA section of the bar is ALWAYS a gem for me. We all know hotel bars are where the action is, and being able to safely participate, makes us feel like valued customers.

We all had to work remotely while we were here and the wifi, and the common areas were flawless. There was no shortage of outlets, and we never lost connection while we were in meetings. I received multiple deliveries and everything went off without a hitch. The food was delicious, the breakfast was plentiful, and the Nespresso was an amazing touch, with a very kind staff person who helped everyone figure out how to create the perfect latte.

I tend to be stingy with my five star reviews, but honestly. I am already trying to figure out ways to come back here. We love an AC moment. THANK YOU for being the welcome that we needed to start our new chapter.

Nearly brand new hotel, and in my book an excellent value for the price paid. The room was clean and very nicely designed. Only quirk for me was that the toilet is a little weird (square), but it works just fine, so no real complaints. The breakfast cost $15 plus tax and had a decent selection of eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, cheese, juice, etc. It's close to a small plaza with some good eating options; I tried the poke bowl/pho place and liked it a lot. I've heard the donut place is excellent - it was sold out by lunch. All in all, a great stay and I would happily return next time I'm in the area.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! It was convenient to a lot of eating places, which was very nice. All of the staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and/or helpful.
The rooms were cozy and the bed was extremely comfy!
One suggestion I would make is to make sure you have some travel size toiletries available. (Ex. Shower caps, toothpaste, lotion) The temperature of the water did not get hot enough for me and the water pressure could’ve been a little bit stronger. Otherwise I would definitely go back to this location in the future.

Beautiful hotel and extremely clean! It always smells so good lol plus it's opulent and extravagant! If you plan to stay for long term there is no laundry facility but that's the only thing I can find that I didn't like. It's close to some decent places to eat and if you have to drive to a place it's really not that far at all. I'm sure if you choose to stay here at least once you'll want to stay again if you're ever in the area again. The hotel staff was amazing as well.

Me & my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights. Upon arrival the power was out due to storm, but Ebony who worked at front desk showed amazing hospitality! From getting us pre-checked in , showing us the room (walking up flights of stairs) and giving informative details. Luckily, we didn’t stay at hotel for long because we had reservations, and by the time we arrived back to the hotel the power was on. Once we got a full vision of the hotel it was BEAUTIFUL! The beautiful smell soon as you walk in makes you feel comfortable and at home. We stayed in room #324 and the room was beautiful, bed comfortable, we fell in LOVE with the bathroom. We didn’t really have an view, but it was fine because we didn’t really stay put at the hotel anyway. Overall, it was a GREAT stay, and we would most definitely stay here again.

This was one of the best service I have encountered in a hotel.
I came in as a covid-positive guest. They took care of me as if a family.

The hotel counter staff and manager gave me free honey for my coughing, and free chocolate cookies for food.

Due to my sensitivity to sounds during sleep, they helped to change me to a quiet room at the corner.

The front desk manager would always ask me how I have been recovering whenever we met.
They gave me well wishes after I recovered and left the hotel.

I was a foreigner, just arrived in Duke, and was extremely grateful for staying in this hotel for teh short one week.

It is within 5-min walking distance to Duke campus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who are considering visiting Duke Uni or Durham.

We loved everything about this hotel! The room we stayed in was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable and we loved the European décor! The ambiance was amazing, and most importantly, the staff was amazing! Specifically Tevon and David at the front desk! My wife and I loved that they would welcome us back every night when we walked into the hotel (didn't matter if it was 10pm or 3am, they both always smiled and said hello)! Those two definitely have a passion for their job!! Well done AC Hotel for employing such remarkable staff members. Loved our five night stay there and would definitely return if we are ever in the area. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful hotel with amazing amenities and staff! Stayed here after ctaching a great deal on hotels.com and wanting to check out Durham. I arrived a little late on my check in date and it was no problem at all. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They told me that my breakfast would be included in my rate and to let the attendant know in the morning.

The attendant was super friendly and understood that my breakfast was included. They had a nice spread of fresh meats, cheeses, fruit, Greek yogurt, multiple coffees, and breakfast sandwiches.

The lobby was beautiful, so I took advantage of that and worked away while eating breakfast for a couple of hours and it was no problem at all. After breakfast I checked out their workout area that was super spacious and had a peloton! So, I took my first ride and it was amazing!

The rooms are super open, comfortable, and the tvs have tons of channels. The bed does not make you want to move, so definitely build in some rest time!

Overall the hotel was so amazing and easily accessible to Duke and downtown. Definitely a must go to while visiting Durham!!!

I had a colleague speak highly of this hotel. I decided to give it a try. Ebony and Brandon provided world-class customer service from start to finish. I also got to meet a Cathy who manages the hotel and asked me about my stay. I mentioned to her that I will definitely come back.

There is a bar with food, drinks, and live music (on this Friday at least). At the time of this post, housekeeping was back to pre-Covid Functions (cleaning rooms, hallways, etc.)

I needed a barber and a good place to eat and both (Ebony and Brandon) provided a great recommendations. As a platinum elite member, I could not have asked for a better experience.

For those wondering, Duke University Hospital, and a plaza with few good places to eat are within walking distance. It is also a great location to visit a loved one if they are attending Duke (or UNC).
