Millennium Hotel Durham

Great memories of this hotel from when I was a student moving in or with parents on Parents’ Weekend, etc. Not much has changed, and I like that. The room was spacious and comfortable, and reception staff were lovely and accommodating. The breakfast is a very good deal. The property has its weat and tear - but the location (in light of the higher price point of Washington Duke Inn and JB Duke) - is pretty good if you need accommodations near West Campus and the Hospital. You can walk, though it is a hike (bike or car are preferable). Also close to apartments grad students typically rent.

Good value and super friendly staff.
This hotel is aging but one of the best values in the area. The front desk staff is super friendly along with the head of housekeeping. My favorite is a gentleman named Bryan (spelling?) that works the day shift at the desk. He is always helpful and friendly and interesting to chat with.
It really makes for a great stay when staff treats you like family.

A fantastic hotel, especially for the price. Very clean and friendly staff. My only complaint is the breakfast. It is definitely not worth the $10. I would highly suggest changing the bacon - it looks, smells and tastes more like a dog treat, lol.

We are in the are often.I have not stayed at the Millennium simply because it is older. However, my last 4 visits I have only stayed at the Millennium. The staff is excellent, pricing is great, beds are clean and so comfortable. This is what I need and expect from a hotel and this is exactly what I receive whenever I’m in town!

My stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The staff and the local residents made sure that I was enjoying the stay. Everyone seemed really friendly and that is a plus for me. I will make sure that I make another stay at the Millenium Hotel the next time I am coming through Durham. Thank you for such a relaxing experience.

Very nice motel. The girl that checked us in was very sweet! We had to spend the night after my husband had surgery. Dr wanted him close by for tonight.
Would stay again if needed!
Or just to get away.

The hotel is beautiful the front desk staff was professional. The Food Service staff was needed more help with keeping things stock and cleanliness.

Lena at the front desk was so warm and friendly. She made my stay better than expected. She was always eager to provide assistance with a caring attitude!

I can honestly say I had a much better stay this time than I did back in August. I noticed that the hotel had security and I felt much safer for me and my family.I am very impressed with the improvements the hotel and definitely will come back again. As always Chelsey Stancil was a blessing and very helpful . We are currently planning our next stay.

I have been staying at the Millennium for many years. This trip saw upgrades to rooms and baths. Repairs requested were attended to promptly and completed with satisfaction. Delightful addition was breakfast bar. However, many guests are going to early Duke appointments and can not access unless you open earlier. I was concerned that on the morning of departure, there was dog poop on the carpet in the hallway. Guests should be held accountable.

Nice clean rooms with good linens and a comfortable mattress. It was so convenient to have two sinks in the room. Stellar customer service by the guy at the front desk.

The company I work for made a mistake and book for 4day instead of 5. The guest service manager Hamid was very understanding. He made sure the problem was fixed. Very polite and just all around excellent. Thank you so much Hamid. Also the hotel was very nice with pool, jacuzzi, breakfast, and bar. The stay was great.

Having read some online reviews were a little worried about the hotel provided by the Veterans Admin. When we arrived everything was clean and fresh. This is an elegant hotel a little dated, very big, might need some refreshing. There was peaceful atmosphere. Everyone was friendly. We would stay again. The beds were comfortable. We got needed rest before. Our procedure at VA HOSPITAL which is very close. Don't listen to bad reviews. Worried for no reason.

The room was clean the bed was comfortable and the staff was amazing. The refrigerator wasn’t working late at night and maintenance brought us a new one. I had bo complaints. We would stay here again.

So the room was nice, bed comfortable, front desk workers very nice. I understood the hotel was a little ways from the Raleigh Airport, but I chose the hotel because when I was searching for a hotel, the booking agent said they had a hotel shuttle that was free. Well, that was not the case once I was there with no car. I ended up paying $50 plus a tip (I tip service industry people, it's only fair). This is the only thing that I was disappointed in.

This was such a nice surprise!! We knew we were not paying much and so we did not expect much, but we were blown away at how nice this hotel was! It's set back in the woods a little, was very quiet. Staff were nice and helpful. My only complaints would be that the bar wasn't open while we were there and the breakfast was not open early enough for us to enjoy!
