JB Duke Hotel

I have no constructive criticism. It is pet friendly. The service was excellent! I got caught out in the rain while walking my dog. As soon as I walked into the lobby, there was a staff person there with a large fluffy towel for me and my dog to dry off with.

Came to this hotel for a conference. I drove in for the day, so I did not stay overnight. The lobby and conference space were very comfortable and spacious. The AC was working very well in the conf room as it was quite chilly in the room. However, we were able to get it regulated after our request. Was able to grab lunch in the hotel restaurant. The food for lunch was buffet style and absolutely delicious, very good for a hotel. I was impressed!

Went here for the lunch buffet. Build your own sandwich and salad to steak sliders. The variety was good, and the quality was even better. It had kind of a corporate vibe but every felt welcome.

Comfortable, spacious, modern-design hotel with restaurant, lounge areas, and bars. We live in town & visit the restaurant, usually before a Duke athletic event.

Clean rooms excellent service and location if you are visiting campus.

This review is primarily for the staff. They were excellent. I came for an event associated with my HS reunion. I rolled in on a bike and asked about secure bike parking. The super helpful staff allowed me to "coat" check my bicycle. Super awesome, especially in a world where so many people are hostile towards cyclists.
The big conference room was nice enough... I'm not familiar enough with these to really notice if it was special in any way.
The food, which I assume was catered in house, was really quite good.

It is a very nice hotel with great service and excellent rooms.

This hotel is incredible- a great restaurant and lounge, a gym with a sauna, and a very comfortable room with nice room service- I was so comfortable during my stay and loved every moment of it.

Great service and personnel! Everyone is really friendly, helpful and outgoing!

The hotel is really big with many different meeting and conference rooms.

The food is delicious and they have a great variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Also the staff is really aware of the importance of gluten free diet (especially in the case of health issues like celiac disease) and everything is carefully separated so that there is no risk of Cross-contamination.

Outstanding location given its close proximity to the hospital and college. So nice to be able to walk around with a small family.

Room service was timely and delicious. The outside patio was perfect to eat in a safe environment.

The folks were consistently friendly throughout the hotel. Bella and Glenn especially. Great hospitality.

We really appreciate and respect all the extra precautions and steps they are taking during Covid.

Really like this place and is our top choice for the area.

Stayed here for two weeks. Had an amazing experience as an exchange student.

The restaurant Market Place was good and tasty. Since we were about 60 people, we probably had a special treat, however the chief is wonderful. We had similar menu everyday, however hot meals differed everyday. Mostly loved Mexican and Indian cuisine.

Overall the hotel is very cozy and well-designed.
The gym is quite small, its pity haven’t had time to visit swimming-pool and sauna.

Special thanks to staff, who were attentive, kind and welcoming.

This place is beautiful. I was here for a one day conference. Parking is convenient. I was able to validate my parking. I'm not sure if that was because of the conference. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable. The man at the Bell desk was friendly and helpful. The conference rooms were spacious and comfortable. And the buffet lunch was delicious and had a range of options from which to choose, some dishes from other countries.

The Duke campus hotel is beautifully updated and did a great job hosting our meeting.

From the moment we arrived they made us feel like the most important people they’d see that day. Every staff member we encountered the whole weekend made us feel right at home. The room was spotless and came with plush bathrobes a mini bar and cozy seating. Finally a hotel with quality pillows!!
This was a staycation for our 15 year anniversary. We had more plans in downtown Durham,which is just around the corner, but the hotel was so lovely we decided to relax there instead.
The restaurant/bar/lounge area was such a relaxing place to have a cocktail and do some people watching. We enjoyed a great burger and some shrimp and grits. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast with an omelette and waffle station. The service was great and they have amazing local NC products including honey and jams. Shouldn’t every hotel have this!
I think it’s safe to say we’d definitely stay here again. Maybe I’ll start to plan our 20 year now!

I love this hotel. Great customer service from valet, check in/out, house keeping. Rooms are exceptionally clean, the king suite w/ bar area is perfect. Spacious rooms, up to date decor. I love the stand up shower. perfect. My co workers stayed here an were very impressed. We will definitely stay again when we come back for a conference.

Beautiful modern hotel nestled in the woods of Duke campus. Peaceful and relaxing. Stayed a few days and no complaints. Food was excellent and the dining area perfect. Staff excellent and willing to assist. Free laundry facility which we took advantage of. Complimentary shuttle service around Durham was a must. Many thanks to Mickey who drove us around and gave great advice on local options and conversation.

This place is breathtaking. I stayed for a 3-day residential conference and was absolutely spoiled - as a public high school teacher, it was amazing. Our training included our meals at the buffet which had a variety of options for all dietary needs. We were provided snacks and beverages during our all day sessions - which were also inclusive of dietary needs. The gym is a nice size with small towels and water available. Overall, a luxurious experience.

I had a 5-star experience at this hotel. The amenities are amazing. The rooms are quite spacious and feature modern finishes. The lobby and the rest of public spaces are excellent. I also wanted to give Kudos to the staff at the front desk who were able to accommodate my personal concerns. I would highly recommend staying there!

One of my best hotel stays ever. The staff were nice and incredibly willing to assist you in any way possible. The bar and amenities were great as well. Our room was a suite and we were surprised to see physical door dividers between the pull out couch bed and the bedroom - a huge plus. The half bath in the main living area was also an unexpected plus. What a place!

Overall a clean nice and decent place.
