Good Life on the Bricks

Very nice vibe to this place, clean, and has friendly staff. The food is super fun and has interesting choices my husband ordered a burger that had nacho cheese, little smokies, hot cheetos and bacon. HE LOVED IT. Huge portions for decent prices, plus happy hour between 3-6 is half a off appetizers which are also huge! Will go again for SURE!

You smell the smoky unctuousness the minute you walk in the door. I had the brisket and pulled pork with loaded mashed potatoes and slaw. The meat was literally done perfectly. The bbq sauce was on the side, so thoughtful. The service was friendly and welcoming. I was eating top rate smoked deliciousness with honky-tonk music in the background.
There were 2 things that could be improved. 1. The drinks are weak (or maybe I’m just a Wisconsin girl.) My second drink, I ordered a double and it was like a good Wisconsin pour. 2. We waited a good 30 minutes for our food. There were lots of empty tables and we were there after 8 pm on a Friday. I’m not sure what took so long as you know the smoked meats and done ahead of time (because they are smoked for 12 hours according to our servicer)
All in all this place is a winner. We will stop again if we’re back in town.

The brisket bacon cheddar burger (aka “the Good Life”) was excellent! Smoked brisket done to perfection, not dry, very tender. Cornbread muffins as a side were tasty as well. Service was prompt and friendly. Not likely we will pass through North Platte again, but if we do, we will definitely eat here again!

A nice discovery in N Platte. There were four of us and everyone agreed their food was really good. From BBQ to pizza to the salad, it was all really satisfying. The orders are large and we ate almost everything; only one to-go box between us. We really wanted to try their deserts but had no more room. There is a wide variety of alcoholic drinks and everyone had good things to say about that too. I had the Zipline beer and found another new favorite.
There are two seating areas. The one at the main entrance is warmer in the winter and the 'garage' is a bit colder.
Good Life is definitely on my favorite's list and I'll return the next time I'm in the area.

I went during lunch time. I was offered my choice of sitting; I sat at the bar and made my order to go. I got the 3 meats and 2 sides. Plus dessert. My service was great.

Great atmosphere and the best smoked meat ever. They don't over smoke or overseason. They use quality meats. Excellent place to eat.

Fantastic barbecue. Was a treat to come across this place coming through North Platte two years ago, and looked forward to looking them up coming through tonight. Had a great meal. Anticipating deliciousness (not disappointed!) I ordered enough to get me to Pennsylvania. Will make for easy reheats in a camp kitchen and delicious meals on the road. Don’t miss this place if you are anywhere in the area.

My cousin took us to Good Life when we were visiting North Platte. I am from the West Coast and consider myself a bit of a foodie. This restaurant could definitely hold its own in any of the bigger cities like Seattle Portland or San Francisco! In our group we had the hamburger with macaroni, The brisket jalapeno sandwich with no bread and a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and, I believe, a Southwest chicken wrap with coleslaw. We all agreed that the food was at least a nine and a half out of 10 if not a 10! Definitely recommend this place. Added bonus? It's in the downtown Canteen District so lots to see during your apres meal walk!!!!

The atmosphere, food, prices, and service was excellent! Someone wrote on Google that the portions were small, that person is crazy, the portions are huge! Oh and get the brisket banger, you won't go wrong!! Loved chatting with Hallie our server! Great girl!

Great BBQ! Good selection of beer, a lot of menu items that look great, fast and friendly service and everything we had was great. Would definitely come back if I find myself in North Platte again!

We were traveling through and Tim at Tru by Hilton recommended. It was fast delivery and delicious food! Hard to decide what to have since their menu was huge! We settled in Lobster Truffle Mac and Cheese and brisket.

Visiting from Florida and decided on Good Life on the Bricks for dinner. Amazing!!
Got the Street Tacos with Beef Barbacoa and Brisket, loaded brisket cheesy bread and Crab Rangoon pizza.

I had the brisket jalapeno sausage banger sandwich and it was extremely good. Everyone was very nice.

The food was amazing. We sat at the bar and Bryce took care of us. He was on top of things.

The food is amazing the service was great' the owner has a great team that genuinely give a care about the product and the guests. Still the top BBQ place in North Platte!

Was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. They do Pizza and BBQ, which I thought was a weird combo. But, their pulled pork nachos were wonderful. The beer from the bar was super cold, and its right in downtown. If we visit again, we will go back.

Really good meats. Mac cheese was cold - bigger macaroni was nice and had a good taste. Beans were somewhat disappointing - lots of sauce, few beans. Good taste - odd portion of beans to sauce ratio...

I've gotten take out here a couple times and the food and service is always great! Very reasonable prices, too, for the quality you get.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn while passing through North Platte. The reception desk employees had just finished eating dinner from Good Life on the Bricks and we decided to try it based on their recommendation. It absolutely did not disappoint. All three of our meals were delicious and pricing is extremely reasonable. Wish we had this place closer to home, as we all wanted to try multiple things on the menu. Props to the owner and cooks!
