Merricks Ranch House

Stopped here on our way home from Utah. Showed up at 7:30 and they close at 8:00. The young lady serving us was very polite and sweet. I ordered steak which came perfectly cook and delicious. My bill was 15.50. For a steak!! They have a very family friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping here.

Absolutely amazing little gem! Everyone in town pointed us here and we were not disappointed. Their chicken fried chicken steak curbed my craving of a country fried steak which is hard to do. My husband's steak was cooked properly to what he likes. All around this place was amazing from the service to the food. Definitely worth taking a detour if were every in Nebraska again.

Nice place for family meal! My 24 yr old grandson wanted to have his birthday meal here! So family friendly that my 3 yr old great grandson wanted to walk around and didn't disturb anyone!6 adults 1 child and 1 baby. Food was great service great and prices were great! Been there several times over the last 10 yrs. And will for sure go again!

BEST PLACE IN TOWN TO EAT! GENEROUS PORTIONS OF GREAT TASTING FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE! IT IS THE ONE TREAT I ALLOW MYSELF TO HAVE SINCE I AM RARELY ABLE TO GET OUT, BUT THIS IS MY #1 PLACE TO GO WHEN I GET PAID! AND I AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED!

This is one of the best moments and pop good old fashioned American diners on I-80. The chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy with a side salad and house made ranch is a favorite. We also loved the creamed rootbeer (shake) and breaded cauliflower with marinara (or ranch).

I absolutely love coming to Merricks! All the time serving good feel good foods! Hearty portions at a great price! I highly recommend to anyone!

I've always loved there home cooking menu. Everything is delicious and they are always friendly. My favorite is the chicken fried steak dinner. Yum yum yum!!!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Food and service is always top notch. I had many different foods there never been disappointed not once. If you live in North Platte your lucky if you traveling through make it a stop for the best food and service. We were fortunate enough to be in town for serval months. I took advantage of it by have lunch and dinner as many times as I could. The 4 piece all white chicken dinner is a over the top winner for the best fried chicken I ever had. So make it to the place to put a smile on your face and a full belly to say it was worth the trip.

I had just a ribeye...to start with and it was so good that I ended up ordering a sirloin just so I could experience both. It’s one of the best meals I’ve ever had and I eat a LOT of steak. You’re doing yourself a HUGE disservice by not eating here if you have the opportunity. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, locally sourced beef that’s hand cut. 10/10!

Small town friendly. Burger was just ok. The Lemon cake is a must get!

We got to a table and had to wait a while for a menu and drinks, but they were busy. After that everything was great. The food came out quick and tasted amazing with lots of flavor. Our server was nice and checked on us a number of times. Overall a great experience.

You haven't been to North Platte until you have eaten at Merricks. Lots of history, friendly staff and good eating.

Our food and service were amazing. They were very busy but we were never forgotten about. We sat down with a group of 14 people on Sunday. My family of five ordered the Sampler with three different appetizers on it. They were so good. Then I ordered the chicken tender basket with two sides. I got a side salad and mashed potatoes with it as my sides. Our waitress was on top of everything and prompt. I highly recommend Merricks.

Food was good. Service was good. No complaints. Nice cozy restaurant. Visited for the first time while visiting with family in town.

Amazing food. Great service. We ordered to-go and packaging is great. Food is hot and freshly made. Plenty of parking. Old-school diner atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable.

Went in today and ordered steak, BEST DAMN STEAK IN NEBRASKA. tender, juicy, savory, succulent... Waitress was kind and enjoyable. Thanks Marricks for teaching your staff right!

Popped in her for a bite to eat after the highway was closed I had a good meal I was very inexpensive. Being from California it's not hard to find a cheap meal outside of that state but this place has good portions at low prices.
The staff treats you like family. The service was better than most give star restaurants I've been in.

Excellent soups, great hot roast beef open faced sandwich. Super reasonable prices. Great staff.

The food is awesome and so is the service!!
