Blue Spruce Motel

Road tripping cross country and we were able to get their last room of the night. Old school with normal keys and paper records, but honestly we’ve had stays at fancier hotels where we didn’t get what we needed: a king bed. Blue spruce delivered. Walkable to walgreen, a liquor store, various restaurants. Really good spot!

I'm usually immediately skeptical with motels that cost less than every other place but this was the nicest place I stayed on my entire trip.

Good stop on our way to Colorado. The rooms were dated, but well maintained, could use some unstained bedding. We couldn't figure out how to work the shower unfortunately. The only bug we found in the room was a cute little jumping spider.

Overall it was cheap and convenient. Right next to a couple of fast food places too for easy breakfast.

Cheryl and her husband were extremely kind and welcoming and I really enjoyed my stay. I wish all hotels were run as well as theirs is, and I sincerely hope I'll be able to stay with them again sometime soon.

Cheryl was very friendly and accommodating during our late-night check in on a cross-country roadtrip. Rooms are basic yet cozy. Desk for working and good WiFi. Pet-friendly. Very affordable and just what we needed for a night.

Blue Spruce feels as though you are staying with family at their cozy and welcoming home! I was immediately greeted with a warm smile by the friendly owner! She and her family know just what it takes to operate a business and have done so for over 20 years and they do an excellent job at it. Our room's cool central a/c was a welcoming feature with triple digit heat outside. Our bed was comfortable and the room included a refrigerator, personal safe, microwave, desk, ceiling fan and a box fan for those who need "white noise" to snooze to (myself included). I'd rather stay here than Hilton or Marriott any day of the week. Lagniappe: The owner will also give you her personal number if you should need anything whatsoever during your stay. I can't believe any negative review, for they MUST have the wrong place or they just didn't want to have a good stay?! This is a budget friendly - no frills -hotel but it is a VERY clean and accommodating one. I highly recommend staying here and will certainly return for any future stay(s) in North Platte, Nebraksa.

Wonderful spot for a quick stay! Very accommodating. Called at midnight and they made it no problem for us to check in at 3:00 AM. Have stayed here before during a blizzard, same thing, delightful experience both times. Comfortable beds!

SERIOUSLY? UNBELIEVABLE! What a great little motel with excellent, well-priced accommodations and service second to none. Cheryl at the front desk was kind, courteous, efficient, and helpful. She went above and beyond to welcome me and ensure I would have a good stay. I was blown away and very disappointed that earlier in the year I paid much more for a “luxury” hotel resort that didn’t provide nearly the level of service as this place (they should send their staff to Blue Spruce for training instead of Paris). I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Cheryl and Blue Spruce!!!

The Room was extremely clean (without the normal hotel cover up smells!). The beds were very comfortable, decorated nicely, felt like I was home! I would definitely stay again and recommend to others! Staff is very friendly.

The first time I stayed here was great for the price. Clean, comfy, nice shower, and had everything I needed! The second time I booked a room here I got a text from Cheryl (I believe she owns this business) before we arrived. She said she was having issues in the bathroom for the room she had booked for us so she could not let us stay there. Instead of just leaving it at that she continued to say that she had booked us a room at another hotel in North Platte and paid the difference! I have never recieved such great customer service. Cheryl obviously cares about her customers and I would highly recommend The Blue Spruce to anyone needing a place to stay in North Platte!

Nice clean rooms, office staff was very nice. Good comfortable accommodation for the price.

Overall, super positive experience. Definitely a mom and pop shop, but perfect if you’re looking for something quick and cheap, but still nice!

Three of us stayed in one room with two full beds. Brand new mattresses and carpeting. Very clean. We all slept the best we had all week after bouncing around hotels traveling.

Met two staff members who were both very kind, and especially accommodating, letting us check out a half hour late with no issues.

Would absolutely recommend!

My fiancé and I have stayed her multiple times during our trips to and from Chicago, the owner has been amazing each time, one time we had gotten into some traffic and ended up getting in later than expected and the owner worked with us and make sure we could still get a room!

I had a great stay here! Very reasonable price and the room was extremely comfortable. It had a very homey vibe and the setup was nice. Would definitely recommend!

Despite my one night stay late check in, Cheryl was very accommodating towards making sure I had a satisfying stay. The room quality goes above and beyond its price. It's gently scented, nice decor and for a hotel room, extra clean! I'll definitely try checking in again when I'm passing through Nebraska. Thank you for the hospitality.

It's an older motel, the parking lot is a bit cramped, but the rooms are great! Older, yes, but very clean and updated. The owner is awesome to deal with. You would pay triple the rate for a similar room in another motel. And they gladly accept dogs. My German Shepherd was quite pleased with it too. All in all, I highly recommend.

Stayed here 2 nights. Room was comfy and clean. Bed was nice with lots of pillows. Ac worked really good which was nice because it was near 90 degrees outside. Was quite and didn't even hear a sound from the other rooms. Lots of tv channels. And most important the price was really good too. I'd definitely stay here again.

Blue Spruce motel is absolutely AMAZING!! I’ve been living here for awhile now and they are always on top of everything. Every room is extremely clean and comfortable! The rooms are all color coordinated and super clean. I really enjoy the family that owns it as well, they are all WONDERFUL people. Would recommend to anyone for sure! Cheryl accommodates to anything and everything customers may need!
