Travelodge by Wyndham Chattanooga/Hamilton Place

We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised how clean and nice the rooms are. It does seem like a nice and safe area. It's not perfect . . . the tub had a crack in the middle but otherwise the shower pressure and temperature were perfect. The room was very clean but there were odd reminders of how the room may have looked in the past with an old valance and old bathroom tile etc. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated having a couch and desk to use. There is no breakfast but for how little the room costs it was worth getting breakfast out. The walls do seem thin but our neighbors were quiet like us so this was not a problem. I will plan to stay here again.

Great place to stay over the night. I really liked the room itself, it was very clean, comfortable and had everything I needed.The staff is friendly and helpful. There were nice pictures in the room of landmarks in Chattanooga and that's is a touch.
Overall a great stay though and I'll stay there again.

I really don't have any complaints nice hotel if you just need a place to rest for a day or 2 or more I'd definitely go back

This is a great hotel in a great location. Easy to find with plenty of parking, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I took a smoking room, only because I didn't know rhey still existed, and I would have never guessed it was a smoking room. It smelled just a clean and fresh as it looked. I'd like to thank Shane at the front desk for his hospitality & cheerful attitude. Each time I saw him, he had a bright smile & a friendly hello. I highly recommend the Travel Lodge by Wyndham.

Stayed a few years back.....they have since updated the rooms. Only disappointment was they do no serve breakfast anymore.

I recently stayed here for 6 days. The room was clean and it was a good size room as well. The staff was friendly. Daily housekeeping was good. A lot of restaurants nearby. Near the major highways. For the price I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

I stayed for two nights. Good water pressure in the shower. Very comfortable bed. Remodeled room. Very clean! Location is very good! I had a downstairs room. It was very convenient to pull the car right up to the front door. I love to sleep in a cold room and the air conditioner was excellent. There are other hotels that completely surround this travel lodge. The folks at the front desk which I assume are the owners we’re very nice and professional. I felt their room prices were good and I would definitely stay here again over and over.

I don't usually stay in motels, as I'm more of a mid-range hotel type of person. But I was making a quick 2-night trip to Chattanooga for a show and wasn't fussed about the hotel amenities so I booked this place as it was both cheap and decently rated for what it was.

I thought it was a great motel and exactly what I was looking for. I'll admit I was a bit put off by arriving to find the lobby locked up tight and instead having to interact with the staff through a small window. I'd read a review or two about it being an unsafe area. But there were a bunch of new 50-inch TVs taking up the entirety of the lobby so I'm guessing the staff just didn't want them 'wandering off' if they weren't keeping an eye on them 24/7. Personally, I think the area was okay; there were a few homeless people around, but they were going about their business and not disturbing anyone though. The area was one with a bunch of 2-star hotels and some restaurants in walking distance. I drove a ridiculously short distance to Cracker Barrel because it was dark and an unfamiliar place but it really didn't seem bad to me.

PROS:
* Cheap rates
* My room at least was clean
* Big room
* Plenty of storage space
* Had the basics: decent bed and pillows, hot water, satellite TV, Internet (I was able to stream with it), coffee maker, a surprisingly big mini fridge, microwave
* Even had a bonus desk and chair and couch though I'm always a bit sketched out by budget motel couches
* Staff seemed friendly enough
* Restaurants in walking distance

CONS:
* Not in the heart of the city so you'll need a car to get most anywhere (and it's on the opposite side of the city from Lookout Mountain and Chickamauga, which is where I was going)
* Budget motel means lesser quality toiletries, furniture, sheets, etc. (and in particular just one sheet and a thin blanket, which was fine for me but I'm not sure if there are extras if you need them and ask)
* No breakfast or vending machines or pool or fitness room
* No stairs -- ask for first floor if you can't do stairs
* No inside hallways made the room feel less secure (though I did park directly in front of the room, which was nice, and just used a door stop I brought along for extra security)
* There were a few homeless people around, poking through dumpsters or walking around (though they weren't bothering anyone)

My husband and I stayed here twice and both times were great! Close to restaurants, shopping and the interstate. Rooms are clean and customer service is superb

LOVE this place 💖 I have gotten MORE THAN my money's worth! The staff makes it feel like I stated with family. I am impressed with the outdoor lighting... So bright and covers all of the walkways and parking lot (even at the very back 🤗). I felt totally safe 🥰 The rooms, although a tiny bit dated in decor, are clean (even in the corners 🤗). Beds comfy. Climate system works well. There is almost no street (cars going by) noise. Other guests are respectful. It's 9:30 now with a check-out of 11 and house keeping has not tried to disturb me. There are small defects in some of the decor/decorating, but nothing really worth writing about. I WILL BE BACK!

I spent two nights here with my two small children and it was a great stay. The man at the front desk was kind and helpful, the room was clean, the AC worked well, and the showers were great. The location was convenient, wasnt too loud, and felt safe.

I had a VERY pleasant stay here. I got a room with a king bed, and the room was more of a suite style. It was only $50 and not a single complaint out of me! I’ve paid much more for hotels that were not as nice. There is no breakfast but it wasn’t advertised, so no surprises there. The tenant at the desk was very helpful and kind, as well. I’d definitely come here again

Best room we stayed in during our cross country trip! Exceptionally clean, quiet, newer looking, safe, secure, no odors, felt right at home. Outside was well maintained and clean as well. Efficient yet relaxed employees that were friendly and pleasant. Can't say enough about our great stay! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

This is a safe clean and reasonably priced older motel. They do not serve breakfast right now due to Covid. It is situated in a nice suburb with plenty of stores and restaurants around you. The clerk was friendly. If all you want is a clean and quiet place to stay, this is the place for you. It is a 2 story motel with no elevator

The room was good size, nicely furnished, and clean. Everything worked. The bathroom was nice and the shower head has nice options that improve your shower. They don't have free breakfast due to the covid-19 pandemic. The cost was below all the other motels.

This place was wonderful we needed to get a room money was alittle tight because we needed to move from PA to Tennessee. The first time we came Shane and his desk crew were so sweet. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed. This next trip was awesome as well our place was not yet ready and we needed to stay again. I will always stay here the room this time was very nice and clean and it was very quite. Thanks so much Shawn for making our trip and move so much better. Your hospitality is awesome!!! I'm so glad we got to meet and you have made me love being in Tennessee even more.💕💕💖💖💖

Nice!!! Everything you need!!! Breakfast was really awesome!!! Hot drinks, juices, varieties of cereals.Biscuits & gravy, Make your own waffles, mini cinnamon rolls & mini chocolate chip muffins, English muffins, bagels, bread for toast. Jellies. cream cheese, peanut butter & butter. All the choices you can think of. Very clean & employees are excellent. The young man who helped us with our tv showed up right away!!! Thanks so much!!!

While checking in I was hit on by the man at the desk. I advised him that I was married, which didn’t seem to bother him, and he asked again. Felt unsafe during my stay. I will not be staying there again.

We had a vehicle break down and had to find a last minute place to stay. This hotel impressed us very much. It was affordable, rooms were very clean, and the employees were super friendly. They were very understanding of our situation and made special accommodations to help us. Highly recommend them. Very kind, generous people and well kept hotel!
