I had a nice stay here after my wedding! My husband called ahead to say what time we would arrive, and the hotel had a chilled bottle of champagne plus flute glasses ready in our room when we came up. :)

The front desk staff and bartender were very friendly and helpful, and the room was perfectly clean and just as described. The building is beautiful and I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone with a penchant for midcentury design.

We loved this place! The perfect place to visit by yourself, with your significant other, or with friends! I loved the atmosphere of the Hotel. Something I always appreciate is the attention to detail and this place has plenty of it. I love the retro luxury feel. I’ve seen comments about the creaky wooden floors but i think it just adds to the charm! The staff is friendly and welcoming! I’d stay here again in the future and will be sure to recommend it to friends, family, and clients.

This is a super cool, super funky boutique hotel. It is nearly 100ish years old and small—I think the dude said 17 rooms—but it has old-time charm with slanting/creaky wood floors, original brick walls, and an old-time feel with newer, super modern touches. The bathtub was great—a huge deep soaking tube that my six-foot-plus frame could fully get into and enjoy. The bed was super comfortable. There is no on-site parking other than valet, but it is close to public parking garages. The hotel is in the heart of downtown. The room Ac said it was set to 68 degrees, but felt like 78 degrees, and the thermostat would not let me turn down the temperature. That is my only complaint :). The staff was super nice to include the valet. All southern gentleman.

I had such a wonderful stay here last week! The small size of the hotel makes it easy to get in and out quickly. The room, which included a sitting area, fireplace, and beautiful bathroom, was absolutely adorable and felt spacious. The bed was so comfortable that I searched for the tags so I could buy the same bedding! Matilda Midnight, the bar on property, served great drinks. Service there and at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go eat, drink, and shop. Nearby, I highly recommend Calliope's, STIR, Public House, Broad's (right next door) and Kenny's, which was an excellent recommendation by the front desk for breakfast. Warehouse Row is just a couple blocks away and includes restaurants, bars, coffee, and shops.

This place was truly wonderful! Went on a girls trip to Chattanooga and found the Dwell online and instantly fell in love with the vibes of the hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room had a lot of little things available for you to use like a sound machine, reusable glass bottles to fill with water (which was in the hall), and other little goodies (snacks, bath bombs, robes). Also the decor was just incredible. The location was great.. you are downtown but off to the side enough to where it’s a little more quiet which was nice but literally a 4-10 min drive to restaurants, bars and shopping. The service was top notch. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. Gave great recommendations (listed stuff that we couldn’t find on Google.. locals always know best) and were always happy to help or even just chat while waiting for your car. We felt safe and comfortable. I will definitely be coming back!

Came up for my birthday and was extremely impressed!! This is the best hotel stay I've ever had. The decor is top notch, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are stocked with all kinds of comfort items like a giant deep soaking bathtub, complimentary bath salts, a sound machine, soft silky robes to wear after your bath, a gas fireplace, and more. Extra care was put into guest comfort and you can tell that they are focused on providing a one of a kind experience.

As a fan of the show 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, I couldn't help but imagine her staying here! It really feels like a nostalgic time capsule of the 50s/60s and it's done in such an artful and stylish way.

The room was very spacious, clean, cute, extremely comfortable bed (from someone with back issues who needs a comfortable bed), and I just love that each room is a different theme.

The building was built in 1909, so it has that old building feel, which is something I really loved about it.

Purchased a really cute T-shirt as a souvenir on checkout and plan to return again soon!

Truly unique and historic boutique hotel. The staff is very attentive and makes you feel like a VIP at arrival from Nate the Valet to Ben checking us in and showing us to our room. The soaking tubs are amazing, and the rooms spacious. Bed was very comfortable, and the entire building has a great vibe. Appreciated the small continental breakfast offerings, as many boutique hotels don’t offer, and it was nice to be able to have a slower morning in our room. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend.

Travel time with husband is always fun. The Dwell was a win for quirky, comfort and customer service. Received an upgrade to king room with gas fireplace - extra thanks as this was a chilly March night! Sweet gal recommended Main Street Meat for dinner - another win! Be aware, this is an old establishment with original wood flooring and less wall I dilation than new buildings; no one will sneak up on you (squeaky floors) and muffled sounds from neighbors. Parkin on street in front of hotel is safe. Use meter during the day. Breakfast of scones, yogurt, coffee and juice available 7-11. Would def recommend a stay here.

I've been staying at The Dwelll for over a decade and it's the first place I call when traveling to Chattanooga. The rooms are all disigned different and have funky furniture and the creaking hardwood floors. Right in downtown, close to everything, cleans rooms, the people who work there are great, and just an all around great experience.

From the first phone call to Ben, with me asking for an early check in because I had arrived in Chattanooga way earlier than excepted; through the check-in with Carol and night service with Mark, this place is amazing. The customer service is so refreshing . The place is clean, unique and I will definitely return.

Love this hotel! Very retro, trendy, chic, and fun. Every room is large, unique and comfortable. They have a nice bar and provide a solid continental breakfast. The staff was incredibly friendly. Lastly, the location was awesome. We were in town for a concert at the Walker Theater, and were able to walk to dinner in the Warehouse District and then walk to the show. We will definitely be back.

Overall:Truly a 5 out of 5 star experience.

Stayed: Monday night into Tuesday day. Jan 15-16

Reason: Traveling home from MIL, travel halted by Major Winter Storm for the Chattanooga area.

Review: From the moment of arrival being greeted by the amazing front desk staff, the experience truly made us forget of the pouring snow/rain mixture coming down outside. The Dwell had our room ready early, and provided a complimentary room upgrade. (Booked originally directly through the hotels site).

The Staff, the experience, and the character of the hotel build an absolutely hidden gem of a hotel and stay experience that is truly one of a kind. My wife and I cannot wait to return to The Dwell, and experience the area when it's not covered in snow and ice.

Thank you again for the all the hospitality, and making the snowstorm be forgotten.

Amazing! I used the valet parking and when I walked in the door I was greeted by name and helped with my bags. The gentleman at the desk walked me to my room and told me some history of the hotel. Everyone I encountered was happy to talk with me and made sure I knew if I needed anything they would be happy to help. The room was lovely. I stayed in The Bee Room. It was super cute and homey feeling. The self care bar it the room was a nice touch. There were snacks, a bath bomb, a candle, and more items that could be bought to pamper myself during the stay. There were glass bottles in the room and a filtered water station on the landing and they brought me a bucket of ice on request, so I refilled my bottles as needed and was able to easily rehydrate from the day traveling. I went downstairs to the Matilda Midnight for a drink. I ordered the Fortune and it was delicious! The bar staff was very attentive. I only stayed one night, but I wanted to stay longer. I would love to go back and stay when I have more time to check out Chattanooga. I would recommend staying at the Dwell to anyone and everyone. This hotel is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that allowed me to completely unwind and relax. I was lulled into letting all stress fall away for a time and I was sad to check out. Thank you to everyone that made my stay so special!

Very cool boutique hotel. Staff was all super nice, and the rooms and building are very unique. The only things that I could possibly list as negatives really just add to the charm (the floor is... Not quiet, and not all doors open all the way because the floor is uneven). You really have to stay here to properly appreciate it as pictures don't do it justice.

I had such an amazing stay at The Dwell! This was my first time in Chattanooga and I was a little apprehensive of the area bc of how small the city is, but the property AND STAFF at The Dwell were hospitable, super resourceful with dining and shopping recommendations, and made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this unique hotel and can't wait to come back again.

Wow... this is the coolest hotel! Very unique and beautifully appointed rooms. Each of the 16 rooms are different. They made each room so eclectic and amazing! I loved the attention to detail. Everything about this hotel is cool! Shout out to Ben and Harris at the Front Desk 👏 they both were friendly and professional. If you have a chance to stay here... do it!

My wife and I stayed here overnight for our wedding anniversary and could not have been more delighted. Every piece of furniture and art is intentional. The staff (Harrison, and co.) are exceptional and attentive! Definitely check out the lounge bar during hours, Matilda Midnight. Highly recommend!

Just wow. Where to begin. The decor and atmosphere is an absolute 10/10. The furniture, lighting, artwork, everything down to the glass wear is all intentionally and thoughtfully selected for this space. The room had its own propane fireplace,
original wood floors, cozy beds, and beautifully tiled bathrooms. Personally, I love hotels that don’t feel generic, violently bleached, and wholesale, and The Dwell is anything but that. Every piece unique just like the people. Yes, the building itself is a historic gem but the employees within truly make the experience 100x better.

Starting with booking the hotel and checking in, our receptionist was so accommodating and showed us personally to our room - truly making us feel at home and invited. Cas, the bartender at Matilda Midnight downstairs, and all that found themselves at the bar that evening were the essence of hospitality and small town feel in a ‘big city.’ The moment we sat down for a drink we were scooped up into a conversation that started with us planning on just having a quick drink to sitting and chatting up a storm for 3 hrs! It was refreshing and an awesome treat - hard to find that anymore.

We stepped away finally at 11pm because hunger was calling and found our way to Attack on Katus. It’s just around the corner and another incredible surprise in this fun city.

When we checked out the next day the valet didn’t just bring our car around but put our bags exactly the way we had them in our car when we arrived while we went to snack on the complimentary continental breakfast. It was the cherry on top to what was already an amazing experience. Easy to say, we will definitely be coming back to see our friends at The Dwell.
