We had a very nice lunch. The clam chowder was very tasty. The wonton soup was huge and delicious, the broth was not salty.
Debbie our server lived up to the previous reviews we read...friendly, efficient, professional & humorous.

The service is amazing! Our server Debbie is so friendly and attentive! Love the relaxing waterfall that runs through the restaurant too.

Breakfast here's always tasty. I was so hungry, and the food was so hot and fresh that I forgot the pictures and video. Hopefully, I will be updating soon......UPDATE: we went back! Photos to follow!

I recently visited American River Cafe for breakfast and had an outstanding experience. The food was served incredibly fast, and every dish was fresh and delicious. Our server, Debbie, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and accommodating. At our request, she seated us next to a beautiful waterfall, adding a serene and relaxing touch to our meal. Overall, a wonderful start to the day, and I highly recommend American River Cafe for a delightful breakfast experience.

Debbie was awesome she provided excellent service. She was prompt professional took great care of us. She was friendly and personable. Made us feel welcome. Was attentive and anticipated our needs. She is a real asset to your restaurant. We look forward to coming back and Debbie taking care of us.

This restaurant had the honor of being the first restaurant I ate at after checking into my room at the harrahs following a long flight. It got my stay in Lake Tahoe started out right. Very good food. Very big portions as well. My burger was very huge!! The service was pretty good, and our server was very attentive. I wish I had eaten here again before my stay ended. I'm just happy it was conveniently located in the hotel we were staying at.

To begin with, the service was phenomenal. I was welcomed by the lovely host Pia, and my server Lara was fast, efficient and super sweet. The food was spectacular and portions were huge! I highly recommend the pancakes and California omelette. Will definetly come back!

Is 5 stars even enough? Before even setting foot into the venue you are greeted by the calm and soothing sounds of the river running through the restaurant, which is emblematic of the peaceful vibe of the place as opposed to the casino upstairs. Service was lightning fast, professional, and highly competent, and the food came out quick. Portions were generously large considering the price (I got the club sandwich for $17.99 and you get more than you pay for), and the food was really really good. The club sandwiches in particular had excellent balance between the ingredient proportions, although it could have used a slight bit more lettuce (which is pretty ordinary for a club sandwich). Did I mention the fact that they had little plastic swords instead of boring old toothpicks to hold the sandwiches together? A cute touch to serve as the cherry on top to the best restaurant I've visited all year.

Debbie from Ohio was an amazing waitress. My drink never even came close to being empty and neither did my friends drink get empty and the prices are very reasonable. Food was excellent and we really enjoyed the service from Debbie.

We had the Patty melt and nachos. Good food. We had just gotten off of our flight here and chose to eat at this restaurant. I think the food is very good.

Our experience here was beautiful! Debbie, our waitress, was warm and cheery. Which was a perfect start to our day! The food was fresh and came out fast! Would definitely recommend.

Oh my GAWD! That was AMAZING! Our waiter was awesome and the drink lady kept our sodas so full!!!! The prime rib and shrimp were so good and their BBQ sauce was delicious to the max!

Debbie was great at American River Cafe. We Started the early morning with a hearty breakfast, which was enhanced by Debbie’s close attention and sunshine smiles! It was the best way to start our day!

Debbie is truly amazing. She was our server last year & this year! She always is warm and welcoming and makes the best recommendations.

Went on 7/14/21. Prime rib and shrimp special was good. Came with plenty of shrimp. Didn’t take too long for food to come out. Server Mike was pleasant, funny, and attentive.

No wait. Seated right away. On Thanksgiving no less. Debbie our server was absolutely amazing! Food was delicious. Only complaint was both the hotel app & hotel staff on phone said there were no reservations available implying they were booked solid. When we got here to just check for ourselves there was hardly anyone here. Our server later explained they don’t take reservations and are a walk in service restaurant only. So don’t believe what you are told on the phone or in the hotel’s app. Just walk on in. Everything was delicious, well prepared and service was amazing!

American River Cafe has service unmatched by anywhere else in Tahoe, and consistently good food. My dad and I have been coming here for years and everytime the food is just as we remembered, and we are surprised by the service. This time our server was Jose Perez, from Mexico, who made ya feel welcome and at home.
