Very friendly fast service. I really love the atmosphere. It was an up beat place to have dinner, However, I got my mine to go. I would’ve love to stay, but I didn’t have time. I will absolutely go again! If you’re ever stopping in Calera and have a taste for some delicious Mexican food. Make sure you try this place out, it was very delicious👍 I had the enchiladas, rice, and beans.

Carne plate was insanity!!! Well done, tender, seasoned to perfection... the sides and the sauce on the cheese enchilada that comes with the dish is ridiculously good!!!

Aslo Ask for the extra hot salsa, it will blow doors.... it has a rich smokey flavor with a subtle heat... not to overpowering but just enough to waken the palate....

I've been to every state, ate in more places, then I can remember, and this restaurant is going in my favorites list anytime I'm in town...

There aren't enough words to say how good my food was. The salsa was so fresh tasting, usually at other places it has a metallic taste, but not here..it was so good. My pork was tender melt in ur mouth good. My rice was flavorful...it was such a wonderful experience

I met friends here for happy hour. The service was good. The drinks were nice. While I didn't eat, my friends all ordered and the food came out hot and they enjoyed it.

A great Mexican restaurant near the Interstate. We stopped there after a train ride at the Historic train station. The dining area is remarkable due to the extension decorations. The menu was standard Mexican restaurant but the food was very good. We sat in a booth but the center has many tables that can be pushed together for groups. The staff was very responsive and friendly. The music swit he'd from traditional Mexican to modern, which was refreshing..

Great food and service. Definitely recommend to anyone. Sit at the bar and get Val as your server. Really nice and professional. All servers very nice and good food....UPDATE...Sadly Val is gone now. It isn't the same at the bar. Food is still good though.UPDATE AGAIN, Happily Val has returned.....

Went here with my husband and boys for the first time this week. The food and margaritas were delicious: highly recommend the street tacos with pork. Service was excellent despite being busy. Fun environment. We'll definitely be back.

We came in near closing time and they gave us the best hospitality and made us feel very welcome. The food was great and the bartender was the best. Great food as well!!

The high rating for this place is no joke - it’s my favorite Tex-mex restaurant. The employees are all super friendly and helpful. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. They also don’t charge me out the wazoo when I customize my plate. The owner (I think) also constantly walks the floor and interacts with his customers, which is a big reason I think this place is so popular. The same employees greet you and serve you, so you can tell they’re well taken care of. Small establishments like this are rare. I love this place!

Outstanding restaurant, super clean, above expectations, we’ve never seen service like this before, all waiters look after your table to make sure you have all you need. The food was amazing! Everyone was super friendly. Our waiter Josh was awesome!

7 gals met there after a morning of shopping and I had the lunch fajitas and they were great. Margaritas were excellent. My new favorite mexican restaurant in that area. And service with a smile!!!

Atmosphere totally better than expected. Upbeat music and outstanding service! Margaritas are pleasant surprise as well! Food above average. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for lunch while traveling and selected the Shrimp de la diabla. While I waited for lunch, the chips and salsa were very good. Good chips and the salsa wasnt spicy hot (which I prefer), but it had excellent flavor and didn't over-do the cilantro. Lunch was very good. Spicy hot foods should not be hot just for the sake of heat. Rather, they should layer flavors, and the spicy heat should be one of those. Not the reason for the dish. This did just that. The spicy sauce was well flavored and really, not overtly hot, but had good flavor, and the shrimp were cooked just right. The beans and rice were a perfect complement to the spicy heat. Overall, a very good lunch, and one I would gladly have again.

I honestly eat Mexican at least once a week and I must say this place has some of the best salsa ever. Salsa is one of those things that are hit or miss when it comes to Mexican restaurants, some have flavor and some taste like it’s straight up tomato paste in a bowl. The salsa here was full of flavors that made you subconsciously dip your chip time after time. I had the Texas Fajitas for one which were so flavorful and more than enough for two people, so you get what you pay for plus some.

The restaurant was clean and the service was good. I don’t think you can go wrong with this place.

We have dined here at least 20 times. Maybe 40. It is always absolutely, deliciously awesome. Let me just tell you the service is the best. Ask for the gringo. The margaritas?? Wonderful. A pitcher is $12 and its soo good.

We stopped through on our way back from the coast and are very pleased we did! The fajitas and chimichangas are excellent! Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was delivered to the table very quickly. Can’t say anything bad about this place at all!!

Las Mesas is our favorite Mexican in Calera. Granddaughters LOVE the food and atmosphere. They are very efficient and the food is consistently good!

Love this place and I always get the same thing every time. Lol. Need to adventure others things on the menu. But great place for reals. Love the vibe of the place very untop of keeping ur drinks full. So sweet, food is great and Love my cheese dip...... But definitely try this place

Everything was good. Had the #14 (burrito and 2 tacos) and #16 (streak quesadilla, enchilada, chili relleno) lunch downfalls and we ate every bit of it as well as extra chips and salsa.
Prices were more than reasonable. The staff and management were friendly, upbeat (so was the music), and helpful.
We had a great experience and would gladly stop here again.

Update: my friend was so impressed with the bathroom that he kept bringing it back up and wanted me to include it in the review. The bathrooms were up to date and clean. He also wants you to know that it smelled nice.
