Like others have said, 2 rough washed out sections of road and a downed tree make the road document without 4 wheel drive. The hike itself is short with a couple switch backs. Trail is skinny in some spots. One section of rock to scramble over it take a sketch trail around. Waterfall is gorgeous, we swam and fished. No one else there.

Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to reach the trail at the top of the mountain, but totally worth it. Not much parking, but trail seems off the beaten path, so didn’t have but a couple people there. You’ll be hiking down to the falls and then hiking back up hill. The trail isn’t too long so great for kids. Would be a great place to swim, just bring some water shoes as the rocks are hard on your feet. Overall, Nice hike to the falls and so relaxing to hang out by the water.

Beautiful falls. First part of the trail is pretty flat. Last part has lots of roots, rocks, and places to climb over which makes it more challenging. It is downhill to the falls and a hike all the way back up. There are two pretty nasty deep ruts in the road so a high profile vehicle is recommended. There is a sign marking where to turn off of Witt Rd to go to the falls (see pics).

The road to the trailhead was in rough shape, but our Suburban made it without incident. The trail itself was gorgeous and the waterfall is one of the prettiest in the area. With a handful of young kids the trail was perfect - just enough ruggedness to make it an adventure. Plenty of places to wade and climb. We made it back up the trail in 25 min. If you like seclusion, beauty and adventure, then this is the hike for you!

Wonderful trail and easy until the second switchback. After that, the trail begins having some real character. It's also downhill more quickly.
Also - the road to the trailhead is in terrible condition in two places. Low clearance vehicles might not can get past these two huge, roadwide potholes.

This was an easy hike save the last little bit. There are a few rock scrambles to get over but absolutely worth it. The road in is in pretty decent shape, my mini cooper didn't bottom out at all but I did have to navigate a few places that would have scraped the belly.

The road in is pretty rough. One route in had deep ruts and the other router had 5 creek crossings. A minivan did the creek crossings.

When you get close to the falls the hiking trail gets difficult. Strollers and old people will have a very hard time.

This is a beautiful place. I enjoyed the hike down and up. It was a nice workout. The sounds and scenery is beautiful.
It is a slightly rough terrain but if you go slow and can grab ahold of rocks, trees, and put your legs over rocks then you'll be fine. I wouldn't recommend if you are very unstable on your feet.

"Road" going up to the trailhead IS a 'bit rough in some spots. Driving a luxury-sedan (Acura RL), it made it up, effortlessly. (Summer-Fall).
You'll hear the falls before you see them, as with most running water. Trail is moderate, until near the falls. A few climbs and careful foot placement will help you arrive. Trailhead is NOTHING CLOSE to the difficulty of some of the AppalachianT's (moderate) trails. Falls were stunning! Especially while we watched the sun wane. Easily one of my favorite falls.

My husband and I absolutely loved visiting Conasauga Falls! Definitely would recommend driving a truck due to the road conditions, but it is definitely worth the short drive! So peaceful, relaxing, and the surrounding nature is breathtaking.

Amazing!! The trail is easy down, harder coming back up. It goes through a tree and over very large rocks, see photos. That is the trail!!. Must have good balance and be able to withstand some strenuous activity. Also... The path you drive in on is not for low cars. I made it with my Honda Civic but we lost some things off the hitch cargo basket. The falls and river were totally worth it. This was our favorite part of our summer road trip ❤

Great little waterfall with some beautiful scenery and a easy 20 min. Hike. Would recommend. It's all up hill going back out but still a easy hike.

The road was a bit Harry but more than fine for my 2 wheel drive Tundra though it could be problematic for cars or light-hearted City slick'n drivers. The hike felt like a half-mile in and a half-mile back but the half-mile back was uphill. I wore flat bottom boat shoes and they were not ideal but worked. The water seemed to be moving because of the rain the night before. It was very nice and peaceful with a good swimming hole at the bottom if you want to venture into the water.

The road leading to the trail is nearly impassable in some spots. Must have a Jeep or Truck or taller SUV with AWD or 4WD. The trail itself is fairly well maintained with only a few spots where the hiking is precarious.

Road going in wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The gravel part of it was great. The hike seemed really short to me. It was beautiful waterfall.

Very steep, very rocky. If you're an experienced hiker or outdoorsman, then this is an easy hike for a great payoff. Not a great trail for kids.

I was told roads to get to the Falls were rough and needed a truck for clearance over ruts but that's not true. There are a few small ones, but theres room to go around. My Subaru Outback made it with no issues. The Falls are beautiful, gorgeous! About 1 mile trail, downhill in, as a lot of fall trails are. There was a tree and a pretty good size rock to climb over. Steps going down to the bottom of falls. Good climb coming out, worked up a decent sweat. I'm not in great shape, but I made it with a couple short stops no problem. Go see it!

Super fun trail with beautiful falls, just be careful of you are trying to get to the trail head with a car, the road is washed out in multiple places
