The Flower Farm at Dogwood Hill

An amazing and just drop dead gorgeous venue!! Perfect for a country wedding as it is just so comfortable. AJ and the staff we hired worked very hard to make sure our day was problem free and they did a fantastic job!! I highly recommend this venue as it’s just what you’re looking for. Promise 😉. My ONLY complaint is I feel that there should be A/C in the Bridal suite as this venue is open from spring to fall and I was one of the last weekends they were open and I was burning up in that suite. But it was definitely worth the price and the help they offer. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Awesome, caring people run this place. I was at a wedding here last November. It was colder than expected. These folks brought out cocoa and coffee that came from their own home to warm up guests. They didn't charge extra for it, they just did it to be kind. This type of genuine caring is hardly ever seen in business anymore.

This venue worked magic with my sister's limited budget. Awesome place with a lot of heart! The place is beautiful and private. They helped us with all kinds of things including music, flowers, table clothes and decorating. I wish I could give them more stars than Google allows.

Had my wedding here last year. You cannot beat the price for all the help they provide to make your event go easily. Highly recommend.

This family run business took great concern in looking after my daughter on her wedding day. Everything was planned perfectly, and even family members noted that this was the best outdoor wedding they had ever attended.

I had a tight budget and the folks at Dogwood Hill Flower Farm stretched it as far as they could to get me a really nice wedding without me going into debt. Its not so easy to find a nice wedding venue for under $2500 but this place is all that and more!

Helpful people and a great price.

Well, actually I have been there. I was there for a wedding. And yes, I was never a client. My reviews are my own and are based on my own experiences. I am always fair in my reviews and honest in my assessments. Regardless of opinions of some, my review is exactly what I experienced. Whether I personally have done business is irrelevant to my assessment of the location/venue.

I was most appalled at the lack of sanitary restrooms. The door on the stall on the right would not lock and the stench in the stall on the left was abhorrent. The toilets are really camping (chemical) toilets used in smaller RVs. There is no ventilation and so on the day we were there, it was like a furnace in the bathroom.

I had wished that they would have real flowers and not all of the silk flowers they had everywhere. The barn was nice, but hot with so many openings blocked. The decorations were a random mix of items. There was ample seating but the arrangement does not allow for movement within the facility. I was torn with the astroturf on the ground all over the barn. But it did prove to allow for the ladies with heels to walk on what would otherwise be dirt.

The owners/managers were a bit short with me based in my parking. But the parking was ample. It's all grass, but it had been recently mowed and accommodated many large SUVs.

The address in Waze brought it to a youth camp about a mile up the road. You need to go further to get to the site.

The website claims to be one of the top places for weddings in the country. My wife and I would not agree with that assessment. The pictures give an allusion of a larger facility. We would describe the site as more "intimate" than those photos would provide. We were looking at them while on our drive there and we were surprised when we arrived.

Cell phone reception is almost nonexistent and there was no wifi. So if you want to go.live or upload photos/videos, you'll have to wait. (One of my colleagues did have T-Mobile and had one bar and I was able to make a phone call standing in the middle of the parking lot, but no internet).

I do know my friend and his lovely bride did have a good time. Their weddings was great and they were able to accommodate all in their party. So everything is subjective to the individual.

It's frustrating that the owners won't simply accept a review based on what I observed. They are entitled to their opinions as I am I. That said, I commend them for their commitment to provide an affordable venue.
