The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun, but it was the service that knocked it out of the park.

We stopped here on our way home from the Johnson Shut-ins and I am so happy we did. The food was so good and our waitress was so nice!! It was so worth stopping in!

The service and food was great and the prices were very reasonable! I would love to say we will be back, however, since smoking is allowed inside, we won't be.
To the owners: Please consider not allowing smoking even if you don't mind it yourself. Many people find it disgusting while trying to eat and any business you lose will be more than made up for in the future.

This place is awesome! We went to the nearby Johnson Shut-ins and stopped here after for food and we were pleasantly surprised. The food is great and the prices are fair, the staff is really friendly and they have plenty of seating. They do allow smoking which we aren't used to being from a busier town in Illinois, but it isn't a deal breaker for how great everything else is. If you're in the area and you don't stop by, you're really missing out.

Food was good, and our server was really welcoming and nice. Food came very quickly- was even surprised how fast it came. Good portion sizes, and a kids menu. There is street parking, and the restaurant is split for half smoking half non-smoking.

We stumbled across this little restaurant a few years ago. All you can eat fish on Friday and Saturday for $11.00 !
Her cheeseburgers are the best 👌 Double cooked French fries 🍟 amazing! We've never had a bad meal here.
The owner, Carla Savage puts her heart and soul into everything she makes. I can't say enough good about her .

After a day of hiking at many of the incredible trails in the area this place is perfect for high quality home cooked meal. It is like going to that one house in the neighborhood as much as you could because your friend's mom was by far the best cook. We ordered 6 different meals for our party and not one complaint everyone very happy with their food. Always best to support those local businesses as well. For some folks not use to it there is a smoking section, just a heads up - we did not notice it once we were on the other side of the restaurant.

HOME COOKING NOTHING LESS! How this place has 4.6 stars is beyond me food is great service is great. They allow smoking if you don’t like it go in when they ain’t busy!

We had a large group and when we got there the reserved table was already set up. Food was good and the waitress was nice.

Catfish and food was amazing! Waitress was super polite and sweet. Super awesome hole in the wall place after a day of hiking.

I’ve ate here on a few occasions for dinner or lunch but today was the first time I’ve had breakfast which turned out to be extremely good. Will plan on visiting for breakfast again.

Had 10 in our group so waited a while but to be expected. Great waitress and breakfast! But they still smoke inside

Very cute little cafe! Food is so good, and it’s such a good price!!! The staff was super friendly and we would really recommend the fried okra and their mashed potatoes!!! The two best things we had! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cheap, filling meal!!

Have had their breakfast several times and just got the dinner for the first. Quality service and food on all occasions. Biscuits and Gravy are awesome, and the Catfish/Patty Melt is amazing. Will be back for sure!

The food here is the best I have ever had. It is very much homemade and it was fantastic! The homemade french fries were to die for. The catfish was great! I have no idea how to like explain how good it was. If you like small town homemade food this is a great place to go. I had some onion rings and 2 husgpuppies were in my catfish basket. They were delicious. My only complaint was smoking was allowed inside. I understand she's in a fix so I'm not taking any stars off. The waitress was also super hardworking and sweet.
