Union Street Social

We had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! Passing through Emporia, KS, we stumbled upon Union Social. We accidentally arrived at 9:02pm, not realizing their kitchen closed at 9:00pm. Despite this, they graciously sat us and took our order. Our server was phenomenal, providing excellent recommendations and top-notch service throughout our meal.

A highlight of the evening was the Pistachio Old Fashion, a unique special that was absolutely delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed the surf & turf special. Every detail was awesome, from the vinaigrette dressing on the salad to the crab cakes and the tasty hollandaise sauce.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the steak. The moment it arrived, we knew it was going to be great. It had a beautiful, crispy sear all around, was perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. My boyfriend said it was the best steak he's ever had! The sear was perfectly crunchy, and the inside was exactly as we ordered it.

This dining experience was a true delight, and we can't wait to return! Thank you for taking us after kitchen close! Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!

Phenomenal is the only word to describe this small town, but big personality restaurant! We came on a late evening nightcap and was absolutely astonished how much personality and character this restaurant has. The crab cakes were the star of the show as long with my crafted espresso martini. The pasta I had was a bit too greasy for my liking but other than that everything was perfect. I was passing through this small town and will come back if I have the opportunity to.

If you haven't been here, sit at the bar with Trenton. Top 50 bartenders in the world. IMO. The food is almost as good as he is a bartender. Whether an old fashioned or an anejo margarita made with ege whites, he makes the best drinks. The have specials of the week. Good - delicious. I wish I could transport this place to New Jersey. One love

PS: the guy crushes his own ice for drinks using a canvas bag filled with ice and a wood hammer.

This place rocks so much that I saw Dorothy at the bar with Toto sipping a Negroni. Negroni cocktails are wonderful. Great laid back cool atmosphere. Food was delicious. So accommodating that they grilled the fish instead of fried it for the tacos. All of Kanasa agrees.....this place is 5-star!

Absolutely fantastic. The restaurant decor and the music played is perfect. The food is incredible and the service is great. We were there on a Thursday and went back the next day because we loved it so much!! We had the burger, chicken sandwich, Kansas City strip, fish and chips, truffle fries and the bee sting over the 2 visits. Oh and the crème brûlée was ahhhhhmazing!!

This was the best brunch I've had in a very long time. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. The menu had a nice variety. The cocktails were strong and delicious. The decor is cozy and welcoming but without being dingy in any way. This is a must try in Emporia.

Union Street Social is an amazing place. I've had the best prime rib here. Their prime rib was better than a smoked prime rib. Before this experience, Bobby D's smoked prime rib around 4-6 years ago (2018-2020) was the best prime rib & Union Street Social was better than that. The au jus & horseradish sauce was great and unique. It was served with a great mashed potatoes & asparagus cooked to teach l tender, crisp. All of it together was amazing! The service and atmosphere were great. It was a bit pricey at $52, but it was worth three price for a one a while treat. I would go again & try more foods. This was my second time to Union Street Social. I was there for brunch on Sun. I had the eggs Benedict with Crab cakes. It was delicious, too.

This restaurant is so very good. My SIL wanted the family to eat together there for her bday. She made some great recommendations. The guys really enjoyed the quality of the steaks and my MIL and I fell in love with the Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad. Now it sounds a bit odd for a salad but it's absolutely delicious. I forget our other choices (group of 7-8) but everyone was so delighted with their food, the service, AND the ambiance. You really have to try this place.

Excellent food and plenty of it. They were a bit busy and a little slow due to 3 large groups (NCAA DII championship track meet that weekend) that were also dining that evening. However they handled it well and I would recommend this place. My steak was excellent.

Union Street social is very enjoyable atmosphere and staff. food ranges from $12-$40 per entree but also delicious I got a pricey meal tonight I regret nothing. The balance of flavors is so good.The portions are large. You don't have to but the appetizers, desserts, and drinks are all great.

The food and drinks are outstanding. Union Street Social is the best choice for dinner and cocktails within a 50-mile radius. Emma, the bartender, crafts exceptional Old Fashioneds and espressos.

Me and my husband went for dinner for our 2nd anniversary on February 16th. It’s was our first time and definitely won’t be our last. Everything was amazing! The food, staff, drinks, and atmosphere. 👨‍🍳 💋

Do it! Ask for Wednesday, fantastic service, personable human. Unique flavors more at home in a metropolitan setting, but just nicely done. Boutique drinks. Lounge environment with a good attention to detail. Hopefully, they'll stick to it over time. Another ecclectic Emporia gem.

Great place to get consistent quality of food with a pleasant atmosphere. They are always happy to make changes to fit any dietary needs. The staff is super cool to deal with. Last night we had Gus, who was awesome and took great care of us. The bar is also nice and all the cocktails I have tried were top notch. Give this place a try if your in the area!

Yeah, pretty impressed with the quality of food. 5 outta 5, 11 out of 10, I'm bad at math but appreciate great food. Trenton, great job, so good you'll buy beers for the back.!!!!

I don't know which chef makes your carrot cake, but absolutely the best I've ever had!! Haven't ever had a meal here I didn't enjoy - top notch.

What a delightful surprise while traveling through. Loads of attention to detail in the preparation of the salad to the decor of the space. Will be coming back very soon on our next stop.

Our first experience with Union Street Social was a hit. Our server Nathan was great in his suggestions and very personable and diligent. Hubby had the prime rib and I had the over the top grilled cheese. The brussel sprouts were to die for (I'm finishing them for breakfast 😁). The atmosphere was excellent in decor and mood. Seatings were spaced out enough you felt personal intimacy but still sharing the experience with other diners. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects and highly recommend it for a fine dining experience. Had lunch with our daughter’s today. Chicken Salad sandwich, Union Street Burger and Farmhouse Grill Cheese sandwich with Tomato Bisque were all great. We shared a slice of Midnight Espresso cake that was incredible.

Have eaten here a few times now. Don't need to worry about leaving hungry. The portions are just enough for even the biggest eaters. Can't go wrong with a brunch/dinner date here
