Puente Viejo Cantina Bigfork Taco Loco

OK, so this may now be our go-to Mexican restaurant in Bigfork. We've tried other places in the area, and they range from 'fine' to just bad. We visited Taco Loco for the 1st time tonight we were very pleased. Food quality was a step above other places we've tried. I got the taco plate, and my partner got the enchiladas. Both were great. Prices were about the same as other restaurants, maybe a dollar or two more.

Wow! Loved this place! Service was exceptional, by a very young man with a delightful personality! Food was outstanding, and wish I had taken a photo! Drink was strong, and delicious! Atmosphere was fun & relaxing! Hope to return and try rooftop seating in summer!

They said the location is new, opened three weeks ago, it's fresh tasting mexican food, if you don't like flavor or salsa on your food just let the waitress know you don't want salsa they can easily leave it off your burrito/quesadilla/empanada ect

Real authentic mexican food! Fresh hand made tortillas with no conservatives, for your mexican tacos that have not been Americanized with cheddar cheese. The staff treats you like family.💖🌮 The atmosphere is relaxed, family friendly, and and nonjudgmental. They have tables and bar seating.

This is by far the most authentic and incredible food and drinks I have ever had in Montana. Small fantastic atmosphere, family friendly, increase tequila selection. Michelada recipe is home made and fantastic!!!! Absolutely love this place and will be back regularly.

Great little Mexican restaurant. We were a little confused because Google shows both Taco Loco (Mexican) and Old Bridge (Italian) at the same location. They are most assuredly now Taco Loco. I had carne asada tacos and they were awesome. They also had a decent variety of beers on draft that were very fairly priced. Finally, the staff were all awesome. They gave me some recommendations for other restaurants in the area and places to hear live music. I highly, highly recommend Taco Loco.

The music was what caught our ears from the street. It was upbeat and had my one year old dancing; I would describe it as the Spanish version of Bluegrass. The music definitely contributed to the 5 Star Atmosphere.
We sat ourselves and our waiter (who was no older than 15) immediately brought over waters and menus. He was well seasoned and very friendly making our experience comfortable. The huckleberry Marg and freshly made in-house tortilla chips were delish. We ordered Birra Tacos, an Empanada and Floutas. I didn't get any pictures of the food but each dish was presented beautifully and full of unique and wonderful flavors we haven't experienced in the food back home.

The food and staff are incredible here! We have been back 3 times already. This is one of our favorite places to eat! We had the street tacos, chips and salsa, and rice and beans. It’s probably some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

My absolute favorite place in bigfork! The taco truck was always my go to on lunch break, and I was so thrilled to see they moved to a larger location. The people that work here are the absolute kindest and they created such a great environment for locals to come hangout, listen to some love music and chow down on some Mexican food. If youre in town, this is the place to go!!!

Best place in Bigfork by a long way! Everything is handmade and tastes amazing! The employees are very helpful and full of great jokes! By far one of the most authentic tacos and empanadas in Montana!

Best mex we've had among other local mex stores. Home cooked (love) apparent across menu items. Definitely going back soon! Owners are very friendly and helpful.

Being one of the few places open on a holiday, we were surprised at how good the food was. We had eaten at the Taco Loco truck when it was at Whistling Andy's and the food was just as good this time as it was before. We opted for street tacos. The food was fresh, tasty and brought out in reasonable time. It was nice to get a beer with our meal and everything was low cost. The service was great!

Real authentic Mexican cuisine. So good. Francisco our server was exceptional. The home made chips were so special we bought a bag to go and next time we were in Bigfork we bought another bag!! Such a great place we stumbled upon.

Great views. Locally owned, great people. Good food and good drinks. Check the upstairs seating.

Loved our experience here! Did not want to stop in Big Fork on the way to Missoula but it was SO WORTH IT. The service was fast and fantastic. Drinks full, the chips AMAZING, and we loved what we ordered. Eat locally!

Nice little Taco truck. Had the chicken burrito. Served with a smile. Just on the parking lot of Whistling Andy Distillery. Easy access from US35.

Despite a somewhat bare interior that is searching for its full vibe, my incredibly picky Southern California father and brother-in-law (who are none to quick to compliment Mexican food as most places do not use fresh sauces or ingredients) were very pleased with their meal.
The birria was fresh and delicious! My sister, who does not eat any meat/seafood, was happy the kitchen staff created a simple burrito for her that allowed her to also enjoy the birria. I thoroughly enjoyed the shredded beef street tacos and was pleased to have extra limes and cilantro brought to the table. The small disappointments were in them being out of chips (a great shock for our table with 4 teenaged boys) and the avocados not being ready for guacamole, but this was so quickly forgotten and made up for by the incredible service. We enjoyed learning about the local beers on tap and found the owner, Thomas, throughly knowledgeable about tequila—his personal touch of visiting our table to share small samples of different tequila brands with those drinking margaritas and sharing how his tastes were shaped by growing up in Loredo, Texas made our day trip to Bigfork memorable. The service felt personal and infused with a genuine passion for growing a local business that makes locals and out of town patrons feel welcome.

Authentic Mexican. Great portion sizes. Food was delicious and staff was awesome and friendly. If you want anything you just need to ask and they will bring it. We will be back for sure.
