El Topo Cantina

First time here in 32 years coming to BF. Great restaurant, excellent food. People that don't like this place don't like Mexican food. Chips, and salsa was delicious. No I am not related don't own part of the business. Best food I have had in a week.

A really great Mexican restaurant. Nicely decorated, bar counters and dining room are set up for dining. Servers are efficient and know there menu well. Their chips and salsa are all made in house. Good portions and very delicious. So glad we had dinner here. We did not have reservations and not sure if they require them.

This place has incredible food and drinks! No one makes better margaritas, the bartenders are the best in the business! I usually mix my own cocktails, and don't get mixed drinks out- El Topo is the exception.
The chefs are awesome, I'm not sure if the enchiladas with Colorado sauce or the pu pu platter is the better meal, we've never had a bad meal there! Thanks Ken, Lindy, Andrea, Kayla, Max, and all of you that make El Topo such a special place!

The food was fantastic it was the very best burrito I have had in years. This is fine food at a great price. When it was brought to the table I commented to the server that this was the largest and nicest burrito I had ever seen. I instantly knew I could not finish that burrito it was gigantic. The quality of the ingredients were amazing. If you are thinking a Taco Bell burrito you are a universe away from being right. It starts off with chips and dip and the dip was fantastic. This place seems small but it's not this is a place where you can take the family or come alone and enjoy a great meal. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient and very fast. While you are waiting for your order look around the place it is jammed packed with things to look at that are hanging on the wall or even the ceiling. I really enjoyed the bar area as it was maxed out with bottles of liquor and themed decorations. I highly recommend this place. I'm going to say that again, I highly recommend this place. I just moved to Bigfork and I know this is going to be a regular haunt for me. If you're on vacation and just passing through please put this on your itinerary and I promise you this is a place you will remember and you won't regret it. The parking lot is clean easy in Easy out and the outside of the business is clean and attractive as well as the inside. They except cash or debit or credit cards. There is handicap parking. The entrance is not handicap friendly but go anyway make the effort. They have a bar that you can sit & drink & have a meal or you can choose the tables. I chose the bar and I met a lot of local people that were engaging and extremely nice. They were the type of people that if you saw them again you would buy them a cup of coffee or lunch. The next time I go I'm going to be sure to be very hungry because the portions are gigantic. I took a picture of the bar area and I'm posting with this review be sure to look at it and zoom in because it's full of decorations that are unusual and fun to see. Last but not least the bar can fix you just about anything. I saw the bartender make several martinis and specialized to order drinks. I sure wished I had had a girlfriend to take with me if you do be sure to call her and ask her to get ready for a good time because this is the place to impress your date.

The whole experience was awesome! The minute you walk in your treated like family. The food omg was amazing! I will definitely be returning ☺

Food was nice but ridiculous price for chips and salsa and not even one refill. Food is definitely tasty but very small in quantity for the nearly 20 to 25 dollars you pay for one dish...

American Mexican food by the lake. Good food, strong margaritas.

So I’m new to the Kalispell area looking for a good Mexican restaurant, try this little place out tonight. Walked in to a friendly atmosphere, very large bar with plenty of seating so I decided to sit at the bar. Was greeted by a very nice strawberry blonde lady, fix me a rocksolid spicy margarita and took my order. Food arrive shortly after that I found it to be very good will definitely go back again. Chips and salsa we’re also good.

This place is a Greater Flathead Valley secret! My family and I are regulars at this Gourmet Mexican joint in Montana. I’ve had Mexican across the western and southern states. This is as good as any out there. The carne asada and ribeye are incredible. The house salsa, although refreshingly mild, is a treat with the warm tortilla chips. The shrimp is also a smooth flavour while the tangy pork melts in the mouth. Staff are friendly and the kitchen staff work hard to keep up with the busy times.

The food is always wonderful, salsa, and chips were super good, and I loved the fish taco!

Pleasantly surprised!!! Never thought Montana would have had good Mexican good and this place was fantastic! The food was great, it was cute and great service. I got the asada burrito that was great. Partner got avocado enchilada and shrimp taco and they’re amazing! Great drinks. Super cute ambiance. We’d come back here!

If only we could give more than 5 stars. We had an excellent meal here. Two things push El Topo out in front of the other Mexican restaurants in the area, a full bar and real attention to vegetarian options. But the food is very good too. I can definitely recommend the Paloma!

I had the best time having dinner at the bar. The staff is super friendly and entertaining, the food was excellent, and the Margaritas were perfect.

This was a fun dining experience. The staff was very friendly, they greeted us quickly, and made accommodations for our party. The food was fantastic. Great flavors with everything and we were well looked after throughout our meal.

Best guacamole I've had in a long time! Crispy quesadillas and no complaints from the kids on the burritos.

My wife wanted fish tacos tonight for dinner. That means we go to El Topo. I had a Carne Asada Burrito/not smothered. My Burrito was perfect and my mouth is still watering thinking about how savory it was.

My wife's fish tacos were perfect as always. So glad she wanted them. Thanks El Topo!
