Echo Lake Cafe

This was our first time here, and they deserve every great review I've heard! We came early. The service was prompt, attentive without being obtrusive. The food was amazing with excellent flavor. I highly recommend the crepes and the special. Blueberry coffee cake to go.

Great food, great service. $18.00 for a huge, delicious Denver Omelet & can of Coke. One of the better Omelets I've had in a while. It is located about 2 or 3 miles from Bigfork, MT, in the Country. Inside & out is rustic and ultra Clean. The staff are awesome & so very welcoming. You can eat at the bar or tables inside or outside. Alcohol and mixed drinks are served. There is a kid's menu. They close early afternoon so go early for Breakfast or Lunch. I know I am going to be a regular here now that I moved to Bigfork. They accept Cash-Credit-Debit.
I always, when dining out, ask the waitress/server to look around for an Elderly Couple or Elderly single dining alone and for them to give me their dinner bill and I will pay for it and to please not tell them about me. "A Random Act of Kindness. "
Once someone criticized and asked what if that old man & woman were rich & wealthy, you didn't perform an Act of Kindness at all, they can afford their meals. My reply, "I hope they are Billionaires and this is their first anonymous, random act of kindness..I hope they are surprised and start Random Acts of Kindness themselves as they have more and can give more often than me.

Excellent pit stop while on the road! We enjoyed literally everything all 4 of us ordered. Good size portions...the breakfast burrito could feed 2. Spent about 25 per person and it was well spent .... good service as well. Seated promptly outside and the weather was perfect.

Great food!! And we really enjoyed eat there. Good old fashioned down home cooking. The breakfast burrito was quite large with perfect proportions of the ingredients. Darlin had chicken fried steak. She liked it. The fresh fruit they offered as a substitute for potatoes was indeed fresh and well presented. Check out the bloody mary's... even the standard one came with quite a kick. The spicy one must be off the hook. $44 covered two meals with extras and a bloody mary.

You may have to wait a moment but I promise the food is amazing. The chicken fried steak breakfast is perfect. We love the coffee cake but you have to come early as it goes fast. If you are nearby, take your time and enjoy one of the best meals in the area.

Great all around experience. We were seated after a short wait, and our server was welcoming and courteous. The food came quickly and was excellent—we had the Wrangler Scramble and the french toast. Generous, well seasoned portions that left us satisfied and nibbling long after we were full. Best of all, we were in and out within an hour. Highly recommend. We’ve had some bad experiences at other well reviewed eateries in the area, but this one lives up to its reputation.

Wow. What a gem!! We are in Bigfork for a few days and we're looking for brunch. Thank you yo everyone who rated this before us, because you are all right. This place is unbelievable. The crazy part is that the amazing views and the super friendly service almost are overshadowed by the food! Not just the flavor, not just the quality, but the presentation as well. All are five star worthy. Let me just say, if you are in the area, make it a point to stop at Echo Lake. We will be eating here every day we are in town.

It’s always crowded for a reason…. I’d say the best breakfast in the valley, tons of options, each one a home run AND an awesome staff. Every single item on the breakfast or lunch menu is just fantastic, never had anything that wasn’t great and we’ve been eating here very regularly for 12 years. Tons of options for veggies lovers makes it another reason I love this place. We eat here once a week for breakfast but they also have a GREAT burger and DELISH salads for lunch!

Love the welcoming staff and tastefully decorated dining room with booth, table, counter, and outside options. The menu has a lot of omellete, griddle, and classic breakfast options. I had a side of bacon and the breakfast potatoes, and the portions were generous and tasted delicious. Wouldn't have thought mushrooms would go with breakfast potatoes, but it works!

My wife had the salmon eggs Benedict which she called "very yummy and delicious." She said the poached egg was perfect, with smooth, creamy and delicious hollandaise sauce (gluten free to boot!).

Very comfortable atmosphere. This cafe has always been popular with locals, and attracts a fair amount of tourists too, without feeling (or looking) like a tourist attraction. Five stars

Great place to have your morning breakfast; family oriented, friendly people and superb delicious food. I highly recommend this place on your next trip you will not regretted.

As a part of my January term college course, I got to travel to Montana with my classmates! Counting us and our chaperones, we had a table of 12! Which as a server is not an easy task. However, our group was treated to quick and friendly service despite there being quite a rush of people. There were so many options on the menu that it took forever to choose! I eventually settled on the breakfast sandwich and mixed berry smoothie (both are pictured), which were excellent 💕💜

Next time I'm back in state, I plan on stopping by again!

This place is always busy and for great reason! We visit the area annual and make sure to eat there each time. I had the best ever tomato soup one year! Their mimosa’s are also great.

This is some of the best food in the valley, and the service is awesome.

I would recommend if you live in the area or if you're just driving through. We've been by twice once for breakfast and the second time for lunch. Both times, the staff were friendly, and the food was amazing. I got the fresh squeezed orange juice both time and it was great!

Great food! We tried many things on the menu between all of us and were not disappointed in anything. Even the fresh carrot juice!

Great breakfast spot. Friendly staff. While I go traditional breakfast my wife would rather have a sandwich. Bingo! French toast and sausage for me and a club for her. We could've ordered a real bloody Mary but my wife requested a virgin one and was accommodated promptly. A slight detour from the main highway we were traveling but worth it.

This place was DELICIOUS and the service was great! They made sure our coffee cups and water glasses were full the whole time we were there. Also, the decor and atmosphere was beautiful. 😍🥰

This is a really good little cafe here in Montana.

Service is really nice and the food is top notch. I had the breakfast burrito with a side of cheese grits. Both were great, wholesome, and filling.
