The food here is amazing. Our party ordered catfish and chicken, and both were so tasty. Spicy, but with such good flavor. The mild was more like a medium for us, but we don’t do spicy much. The owner was so welcoming and has such a big personality - just a joy. The floors were slippery, so walk with caution.

What a great place. I wish I lived closer. Still see myself taking the drive from Atlanta one day when I had to have / was jonesing for an exceptional chicken dinner, or to try the wings, pork chop, or fish.

I had the catfish with medium heat, greens (best I’ve ever had) and Mac and cheese.
My daughter had chicken tenders with no heat, Mac and cheese.
One son has the four wings, mild heat, fries, Mac and cheese. The other son had wings and a waffle. He was too young to try their challenge, but he did had one of their hot wings.
We look forward to eating here again!

First time finally being able to eat here. It was great! Loved the flavor of everything! Made me think of my grandma's home cooked meals growing up. My husband decided to get the medium wings and catfish and immediately understood why our server tried to tell him to get mild if he didn't like hot hot stuff. I got mild and it still had a little kick but it was a much appreciated kick of spice. They hand grind all the spices and make everything in house, even the sauces. We will DEFINITELY be back for more! Our server was amazing also. Loved the hospitality!

What an unbelievable find! From walking in the door to walking out the door the wait staff was wonderful. They explained everything to us because they could tell it was our first time! Wings were so good and the chicken fingers were delicious. I tried 3 different spice levels! Boy oh boy do they know their heat levels! Medium was quite spicy to me! What a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning!

My favorite Catfish spot!!! Love the spicy chicken but the catfish is hard to beat! Sides are also super tasty-Mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans. Catfish sandwich with previously stated sides is my go to🔥🔥🔥

Great family owned restaurant. Service and food were good. Be warned even the mild was a little bit spicy. Recommend the fish and chicken combo with mac and cheese

Came for some hot chicken and I loved it! I tried the medium because they say the medium is hot (I love hot, don't get me wrong but I have had too hot plenty of times.) And it was hot and really enjoyable! I think I'll bump it up to hot next time though. (Because that's who I am.)

The service was friendly. The servers were very nice. This place has the charm of a classic hole in the wall southern restaurant. The building is old and was obviously a Chinese restauant at one time and that just adds to the charm.

I got potato salad and greens with my medium chicken tenders and I loved both of em. Lots of flavor. Can't wait to come back and try it again!

We have great fried chicken back in Memphis. However, I loved the dry rub and slow burn of the chicken. The sides of Mac n Cheese, slaw, greens and potatoe salad were amazing.
I want to thank you for serving us and sharing your amazing food. We will be back.

My son and I went here based off of google recommendations. My son got chicken tenders and fries. He only got one piece of chicken with any spice. He got the level sprinkle. He said it wasn’t spicy at all. The waitress was very cautious about him getting spicy. (I appreciate that)
I got the catfish and wings with fries. My son tried my food as well. We both loved everything! So good!
The bathrooms are kinda dingy and gross looking and the floors were slippery. They need to use a new floor cleaner. We chose to ignore that since we heard such great things about the food. I’m glad we did

Really great place. First of all the staff was incredible and so friendly with every customer in the place, when I asked if the beans were good she actually turned to the table next to me and asked them if they liked their beans, really great idea, the beans were remarkable too! I order the quarter chicken in medium spice and oh my it was hot🥵and awesome. I used ranch dressing and the beans too cool my mouth off. The flavor of the chicken was excellent as was the cook on it. The only drawback to the place was the coleslaw, it was pedestrian and probably ordered from a food service so I’d recommend trying a different side dish. Overall though like I said a really great place!

This place was highly recommended both by fellow travelers and local residents and it didn't disappoint! Great atmosphere, insanely delicious food (the chicken was fried to perfection, moist, and spiced as requested), great R&B classics, and spectacular service! A must visit in Chattanooga!

Overall it’s great especially wings. Their breast is huge. I would recommend normal eater like me only try to mild. Medium is craZy spicy as hell…. I literally burned my mouth today

The best Nashville style chicken I've ever tried. Flavorful, spicy and crunchy! We went there after a day at the Rock City Gardens place and we wanted to eat some southern food. Definitely I'm glad we chose that place. We had the 10 piece meal with coleslaw, baked beans and mac and cheese on the side. Everything was delicious and tasty. I do recommend to order in advance if you're doing take out. We had to wait over 30 minutes (they make the chicken on the spot) to get our order ready but thanks to Ran, our hostess, we didn't bother the wait. She engaged with us all the time, apologized for the wait, offered us something to drink and also gave us a piece of chocolate cake for free. I can't describe how decadent and mouthwatering the cake was. I you ever in the area I do recommend you stop in this little gem, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome hot wings, whiting and tenders! Medium is hot, hot is pretty hot, a dry rub, cooked perfectly, tasty and tender, and a great side of turnip greens. Staff is all really friendly and nice, excellent place to get your hot chicken!

Great fried chicken. Very southern style mac n cheese and collards.. great service and atmosphere. Have to say my favorite chicken place. If you're in the area and want some great southern style fried chicken, this is where it's at.

The chicken was spicy and delicious, and the sides were fantastic. The baked beans were the best I've ever had.

Today was my first time eating at the Flaming Rooster. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is delicious, the seasoning and spices were just right. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I even got to meet the owner. I highly recommend you visit this place. When you do, you'll be coming back again and again.

Me and my wife and grandson were on vacation. When we found this restaurant in Chattanooga so glad we did Family run very friendly people I had chicken medium heat collard greens Mac incheese best chicken and greens I ever had. Wife had fish Mac cheese everything was delicious enjoyed talking to family service great. Hope to return some day.

First of all, the customer service is amazing. They are super interactive and keep checking on their customers. The food is AMAZING. Being from NYC, where you can find any kind of food; they win the best dry rub wings on my book. I had their HOT level wings and it’s a 10/10. The staff warned me few times that it’s hot hot but I still wanted to give it a try out of curiosity. Potato salad was great as well. The Nashville style shrimp was also 10/10. My friend order their tenders and coleslaw and he also loved his food. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them.
