The place is cozy and clean. Food and drinks had excellent taste and presentation. Music had the perfect volume to enjoy it and talk at the same time.
Definitely a “going back soon” place!

We ate the Mexican Board and Mango Ceviche. Cucumber jalapeño margarita, old fashion. And other 2 drinks 😃

Cantina 1948 in temple is SUPERB! The tamales and ceviche are delectable! The cocktails are absolutely delightful! The staff members are friendly and kind and wonderful to interact with. Highly suggest this place!

Nice quiet restaurant, arrived for lunch and was seated immediately. The place and decor looks great. I hade the crispy tacos and my wife had the pozole, both were great not full of salt and grease. We will be back.

This is a great place for Mexican-inspired bar food and drinks. We had mocktail versions of the berry mojito and piña colada. They were tasty. The salsa was fresh and had a good kick. The Mexican board by Chuy was good, with the highlights being the chicharron, dried meat, and guacamole. They were out of the pork tamale and subbed an elote one, which was tasty. The shrimp cocktail was not spicy, but with the pico on the side, we were able to add some zest. The atmosphere is inspiring and lively. It would be a great place to meet friends after work or for a date. Not a traditional Tex-Mex or taqueria restaurant, which is OK - there are certainly enough of these.

Was in town and happened to catch the Champions league finals which was awesome, had beers and octopus ceviche!! Very tasty!! Really cool place with plenty of tv's and cool surround sounds . I recommend

First time here. Loved the inside , the music , the vibe. Not much of a food place as far as dining but to have drinks and the food they do offer is fabulous. Tacos, chips and queso, tamales. The service was great. Drinks fabulous . Owner came by and introduced himself. That kind of service is what I like in a place. Def give this place a try.

If you're looking for Mexican food that's not taqueria style, this is it. Food is very fresh and very good. Love the Pozole Verde. Great for a date or with family and friends. Well stocked bar, and service has been very good for us. Give it a shot.

This place reminded me of the bar inside our resort in playa del Carmen Mexico!!! Drinks were perfect. I did receive one drink that didn’t taste like the one I had before and the manager was super quick to make it right !! We will definitely be back 💜💜💜

Came on a Friday night: FANTASTIC Music, Food, Drinks, and Service!!! It has a a great modern upscale vibe right here in Temple! Would absolutely recommend for a fun date night out! The presentation of these plates will definitely be making it to intsagram!!! Well done! Waitor Eric was very attentive!!

It's not an extensive menu but there are some delicacies theyve chosen to represent a few best of Mexican cuisine and even upped it up with different artistic presentational touches. Because of all the above, expect it to be a little pricier.

They're a new welcome to Downtown Temple. Street parking has construction because of future new developments, but you should still be able to find a spot around the corner.
