My husband and I were just recently married on September 1st, 2024 and we couldn't have enough great things to say about The Lincoln, Blake, Christine, and all staff who worked our reception. From the moment we stepped in to the venue for a tour Blake and Christine were already making us feel like the most special couple. We knew from the minute they showed us all the ammenities the gorgeous venue had, we knew it was the venue for us. We booked our reception date a year in advance and both Christine and Blake kept close communication with us throughout the year to ensure we were all on the same page and we were keeping our portal updated so they could provide us the reception of our dreams. As time got closer we booked a final walk through with them where we went over the dream vision we had for our wedding day. Blake and Christine are complete pros and will do anything in their power to make your dreams come true. Not only are they professional, but they are friendly, kind, and caring. The staff who worked our wedding night was exceptionally kind and catered to our needs. I cannot say more positive things about this venue. Everything was phenomenal from start to finish!

We were married November 11, 2023. When we found out our venue closed unexpectedly just 9 days before our big day, we thought we would have to give up a lot of what we wanted and had already planned. The Lincoln Event Space not only came to our rescue but went above and beyond to help deliver the most magical day even though it meant an unusual timeline, a somewhat chilly ceremony setup, and quick inside flip. Not only is the space unique and beautiful but all of the staff was kind and courteous. Our favorite details - the courtyard, natural light, unique history, speakeasy, and in-house decor. Their space and amenities set them apart while their service makes them shine creating an overall wonderful experience. When they found out there was a Veterans Day Parade that started at the same time as our coffee hour, Blake obtained as much information as possible including an alternate arrival route for our guests. They communicated clearly, were very responsive to our questions and worked closely with our wedding planner to basically plan a wedding in less than a week. Our wedding day ended up being more than we could have ever imagined and it wouldn’t have been possible without The Lincoln and their staff. Further, Ottawa is a great, accepting community - all of our guests had a good experience with hotel accommodations, getting around town, and the local shops. We highly recommend The Lincoln Event Space for your event needs.

The Historic Post Office was amazing. It has the perfect elegant, vintage, classy vibe we were looking for when looking at vendors. Our favorite part was the speakeasy. We also loved the flow of how the wedding guests would get to see the whole venue by starting in the garden area, then going to the speakeasy for cocktail hour and lastly up to the ballroom for the reception. It was also the perfect size for our 60 ish wedding. Lastly, we really enjoyed the getting ready suites that are also at the venue. You literally have everything there so you don’t have to travel anywhere else on your wedding day.

Next, Brooke and her team were amazing. She always answered my many questions within a good timeframe. She also made us feel very confident that we were in good hands on our wedding day. We trusted her with a lot and she did not disappoint.

Lastly, the venue itself was just absolutely amazing. Our photos and video we received came out extraordinary. We had an incredible photographer but the venue speaks for itself. Our photographer had so many options/locations to take photos of us. Also, we didn’t need to decorate a lot because of what the venue already offers.

You will not be disappointed with this venue and team. They are extremely organized and they communicate so well. They made our day amazing and we couldn’t ask for anything else.

Great management, amazing staff, and a gorgeous venue that is perfect for around 150 people. The team will literally do everything in their power to help make your wedding ideas come to fruition. I had so much fun, that I wish we could book another wedding at the Lincoln next month.

From the beginning to the end, everyone at The Lincoln was so amazing and helpful! Anytime I had a question for Blake and/or Christine, they answered within hours and were always so kind. Even texting with Christine about random questions regarding the venue, she was always so prompt. The Lincoln was the perfect space for our amount of people, and everyone was so complimentary of the architecture and beautiful touches that Blake and his team made. Having a Photo Booth at my wedding was always a dream of mine, and The Lincoln has the coolest mirror like Photo Booth with different options to choose from regarding the style and monogram. Planning a wedding can obviously be stressful but with every meeting I had with Blake and Christine, I felt so much more calm and at ease. I had a very unique set up in mind with both round and rectangle tables for our guests, and they made it happen exactly the way I imagined it with plenty of room for the dance floor still. They offered everything I could imagine and more for my wedding. It was the best day ever, and I wouldn't change anything about the day!

We could not have chosen a better venue for our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day! I had the pleasure of working with Brooke through the 1.5 year planning process. She was a delight to work with; prompt, thorough, and help put my mind at ease. Both events were executed beautifully, and left nothing for us to worry about. We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator, and loved both the main ballroom and speakeasy settings for the various events through our day. I highly recommend booking for your big day!

The Historic Post Office was one of the best decisions we could have made when planning our wedding. We loved everything about having them as our venue. Everyone who works there is so helpful, professional and kind. Our guests were raving about how unique and classy it is! As an Ottawa local, I was so happy to have my wedding in my hometown. Every time I think about HPO it's hard to pick my favorite part. We got married in the garden area and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ballroom is the most beautiful and open space. And the speakeasy speaks for itself with the coolest and classiest vibes. If you're considering booking with them - just do it!

Getting married here was the BEST decision I made for my wedding!! I live in KC so it was close enough but still felt special and unique. Ottawa was an adorable town and we had no problem finding lodging, restaurant, etc.
I worked mostly with Darren and Brooke and they were the MOST helpful and went above and beyond for the wedding. They even helped with a slight problem we had last minute for the rehearsal dinner! We were able to have a ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at all different parts of the venue and we got an insane amount of compliments. Three different people told me they wanted to get married there! I would highly, highly recommend!

The Historic Post Office is such a beautiful venue with so much potential to make your wedding day perfect for you! The staff is so helpful and accommodating. My wedding day was so easy and calm and turned out beautifully with the help of Brooke and Emily! I 100% recommend the Post Office for a bride looking for a classic, timeless, and elegant look for her wedding!

This venue is stunning for any occasion, not just weddings. My event used the Speakeasy downstairs, and the photos online (although very beautiful) do not do it as much justice as the awe you feel when walking into the space. They had a fantastic selection of drinks at the bar, even making new drinks for us, and they took extra care to emphasize the history of the building. Brook, our bartender, was amazing, attentive, and a super friendly addition to our event. We cannot recommend this venue enough, especially if you’re looking for a unique historic place for an affordable price.

This gorgeous venue was our first choice for hosting my 30th birthday party. The staff was prompt, professional, and accommodating. My guests were impressed by the unique and high-class setting. Parking was easy and close. 10/10 would recommend and use again!

The Historic Post Office was absolutely amazing! The venue is gorgeous and elegant. The speakeasy is sophisticated and hip. The combination of the two made for the perfect wedding day. We received so many compliments from our guests on the choice of venue. The day flowed seamlessly between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our main contact, Tony Fisher, always made himself available to answer all our questions. He was so vital to success of our wedding planning, especially during covid. The venue coordinator, Brooke Fearka, walked us through everything the week of the wedding and then did an amazing job coordinating the day of with her partner Sage. The day could not have gone smoother and thats all thanks to the fantastic staff at the Historic Post Office. I recommend the Historic Post Office to anyone considering choosing them. It was possibly the best decision of our wedding planning.

I got married at the Historic Post Office i’m August and I’m so happy with my choice. I couldn’t have chosen a better place. The venue is so beautiful, my guests and family loved everything about it. Also the staff was extremely helpful from the beginning to the end. A special thank you to Brooke and Grace for making sure the wedding day was perfect!

Excellent wedding venue, so glad that my wife and I selected The Historic Post Office for our wedding ceremony and reception. The space is elegant, beautiful and spacious for dinner and dancing, and the speakeasy downstairs is a really unique feature that sets this place apart from other venues we considered. The staff were extremely professional and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect.

We had our wedding at The Historic Post Office and it was perfect! It truly exceeded our expectations. It was so beautiful. The staff is wonderful, they ensure that everything goes exactly as planned. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect! We hosted our 20th High School reunion at the Speakeasy in the Historic Post Office and had a wonderful experience. The vibe was perfect for drinks and mingling as well as the sizing was great for about 65 people. Highly recommend.
