Happy Wok

I was going to look at the menu to order and noticed the overall 3 star review. I've been ordering from this location for a few years now and wondered what's up with that. I have never received anything from this restaurant that wasn't excellent. I'm appalled at these one star ratings and wonder if somebody's planting bad reviews to help their own business. Order whatever you like, all their food is excellent compared to the other Chinese restaurants in the area.

I've lived close to this location for over 20 years and had stopped going there about 5 years ago because the owner was very rude and the food at that point was not good at all. I've tried them 3 times in the past month,the previous owner is no longer there and the food quality and new menu are amazing. If you've had a similar experience,give them another shot ,it's much better than before

I've never had a problem with an order. Food always tastes as yummy as last time. We seriously eat here too much. They are so consistent. I send my hub up there for soup 3 times a week. *edit: I see a lot of people giving bad reviews so I came to edit. The lady that mostly takes orders is very hard working. She is the type of person that is "no non-sense". I think maybe her accent and tone throw people off. I wouldn't call her rude though. Seriously, try it for take out. It's super tasty. The veggie soup is great for something light on a cold day.

Hello, I see all the negative reviews and decide to share as well. My friend and I just got food from here a few days ago. It was good as usual. They have the best crab rangoon, our combo fried rice was perfect and the hot and sour soup was awesome! I agree with Brandy Nicole, the lady is a firm no nonsense type of person. She’s not rude. In fact, when I called to place the order, I asked if they had soup. (I’d never had their soup so wasn’t sure what they had) she said we have a lot of soup what kind you want. I explained what kind of flavors I was looking for and she made great recommendations:) The hot and sour soup great (not brothy though if that’s what your looking for.) I will say that if I wanted the food delivered, I wouldn’t order anything that can get soggy cause it probably will -vs- eating it there.

We order from here a lot and are never disappointed. The delivery drivers are as fast as lightening and the food is hot like it was just made each and every time. I recommend Happy Wok over any other place in Rockford. I don't think I could live without it.

Have tried others over the years in the area and none compare. Get sweet n sour chicken and the chicken is always cooked correctly and never burnt/overcooked/shriveled up chicken pieces. Excellent always go back here and order from here.

I absolutely love this place! Besides the fact that I love the food, the woman that always works the register is soooooo nice! She always remembers me and knows which order is mine when I go to pick it up, sometimes even asking if I am on my motorcycle so she can wrap it up better for the trip home. I highly recommend it here!

We just indulged in several dishes including a Thai dish and a few appetizers. All me and my family have to say is DELICIOUS! Fresh ingredients, cooked well and each dish had a great flavor! The servings were huge! Thanks for dinner Happy Wok!

Always great ...friendly staff and family ran travelled from rockford to loves park just for Chinese food...only happy wok i will go to. Hot spicy garlic shimp with lo mein ..is top notch ..fried scallops get 6 and awesome. Cheap too!! Chix and broccoli is great too. Always remember me when i walk in or order on phone.. same family for many years ...and are so friendly ...hot mustard guy...

Who ever was cooking last night did a outstanding job best I've had at happy wok in 20 years

I always call my order in and it's ready in 10 minutes. You definitely will get two meals with the lunch portion. I love going here because for under ten bucks I have two meals.

You have a delivery driver she got short hair and a very colorful mask the best delivery driver I've ever met in my life I don't know their name but you should give them a raise immediately she delivers to my house on Pebble Lane every time and it's always on time it's always hot and she is absolutely the kindest person ever

I have been going to this happy walk for years, never had any issues with the food, Yes the front desk lady is hard to understand butsbut Chinese. But she is nice and for her regulars she usually remembered your order.

Happy woks are great, but like Denny's you always want to go to"the good one" I've been going here for over 10 years and let me tell you that this is the good one!

The best bbq pork fried rice in Rockford. I always get the shrimp pad Thai as well. Very nice people too.

Me and my boyfriend order from here all the time...we've never had a problem and the food has always been really good

I don't even want to know how they prepare it so fast. I love it! The steamed dumplings are better than human companionship.

🐔 teriyaki (Chicken on a stick) is straight 🔥! Always fresh.. and im not getting paid for this.. it's just a honest review!

Delicious and very generous portions! We always have enough for lunch another day!
