Round Lake Preserve

A diverse and beautiful place - lots of living creatures to photograph and paint.

A great spot for photos, nature watching, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing. There's kayak racks next to the dock. Lots of signs with information about the area and the nature in it. There's a couple picnic tables at the parking area but they're a good ways away from the water. The road to the preserve is gravel.

Great place to view birds and other animals.

Great spot to kayak from. Can take a relaxing paddle out to Round Lake or follow the stream to an eventual dam that marks the end

Great place to go early in the morning when it’s not too busy, beautiful vegetation and wildlife. Have not canoed there before but it looks like a good spot for it.

At the southeast end of Round Lake, a long gravel road with some sneaky potholes leads you to a free-to-use beautiful boat launch and fishing pier overlooking Andrew Kill. This is a beautiful location to view the fall leaves and sit in peace with nature :-) But if you are not fishing or launching a boat, there will not be much for you to do. There are no amenities aside from three picnic tables. There is no hiking trail, restroom or playground. There is a small parking lot.

Just recently found this preserve. Great kayak launch. Nice lil place. Lots of nature to see.

Great kayak launch, picturesque and peaceful. Go left and follow the Tenandaho downstream, or, right, to Round Lake. The fishing is great, too.

Lovely little trail with nature's beauty wrapped all around you. Lots of "pit stops" in the form of small trash receptacles for us dog lovers, so as to clean up their waste, etc. Even provided for public usage are containment bags to pick up the mess! Love this trail very much! ♥

Great sunsets! And when you are alone it's great to just relax and listen to the birds and frogs.

Has a small kayak launch. You have to walk about 100 yards with your kayak to get to it
