Highly recommend this wonderful nursery! It’s by appointment only, so be sure to email ahead. The person working there was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, asking questions about our soil in order to recommend the best grasses for the particular area. Reasonable prices and truly a special place, doing great work. We will most definitely be back!

Hummingbird Hill has a focused selection of (very) locally sourced native plants. The owners are well informed and generous with their knowledge. If you are interested in native plants at all you owe it to yourself to schedule a visit.

Purchased dozens of plants last year and was so impressed with the variety and health of each one. All the plants grew back this year and are even more beautiful than last year! Would highly recommend this nursery for anyone looking for native plants. I know we’ll be enjoying ours for years to come!

Small nursery but lots of different plants to choose from. Well organized and easy to get around with a wagon. All are grown there and are native to Virginia. Easily located. Friendly staff and available to ask questions if you need help.

Bridgette et al. are super knowledgeable and are running a beautiful operation with a really great assortment of robustly-growing native species (at a decent price, too). We found everything we wanted (buttonbush, coral honeysuckle, asclepias, etc.) and more. The website's not bad, either, and is pretty representative of their in-stock plants. Thanks again!
