Beautiful facility in the heart of Rockford. Staff is caring and compassionate with an excellent Management team.

This nursing home has taken fantastic care of my brother Josh. He was given a hospice diagnosis in Nov 2022 and has been nursed back to health! So much so that he’s able to go back where he’s from. Special shout out to Pam for getting my brother a brand new wheelchair. I have nothing negative to say about the care from each Cna and nurse that has taken care of him. Thank you Rock River. ❤

Since starting at Rock River Healthcare, I have had a wonderful experience. The team is full of care and compassion. The residents receive excellent and loving care. Thank you for bringing me into your home to help during this pandemic. It has been an honor. Thank you Roland for being a great administrator. Thank you Marisela for guiding me with Social Services. You all Rock at Rock River!

I am a brittle diabetic, the nursing staff at Rock River helped me get my sugars under control and I now use the Dexcom G6 and I absolutely love it. Therapy department was wonderful I am able to walk on my own now. I came to the facility with a wound vac, the wound care nurse did an excellent job I no longer wear it. It is easy to talk to the administrative staff at any time I need to. their door is always open.

The Staff at Rock River Healthcare goes above and beyond with the care for our mother to help her feel safe and at home and they were there for us as well we highly recommend there care to anyone

This is a wonderful facility. The staff here is helpful and go out of there way to make you comfortable.

Great care and staff. I would recommend to family and friends.

So far I am pleased with this place. My mom is here for rehab and dialysis after hip surgery and the staff has been very nice. Everyone is friendly, the place is clean and she does not have to wait a long time for help from the nurses. She says the food is pretty good too. Shwanda has been wonderful!!! From the first night she helped my mom with a hoist and was caring and gentle. She is lovely!
The only thing I would improve is the rooms. No phone in the room, no fridge or microwave. Other than that it is been a good experience.

This has been a challenging time in my life. I received the utmost of wonderful care from the staff. I was treated with kindness, respect, and empathy. I am so ready to move and go on with my life. I don't believe I would feel this way had I not been at this facility. Thank you and God bless 🙏 everyone here.

My Aunt is a long-term resident, has been there for over 2 years.
Pros:
-Food is good
-Location is good if you love nature, right next to the Rock River, though you can't see much of the river from inside the building
-Some of the staff is helpful
Cons:
-Staff not readily available when needed
-Some of the staff not very cooperative
-Items get stolen or lost, including clothes
Suggestion: Need more activities for residents.

They have "some" staff. Let "one hand know what the other is doing" May help the residents.

I received great care which includes nursing, therapy, and administrative staff. During the pandemic, staff made sure i had proper PPE. I want to say Rock River did a great job at keeping the cases of covid 19 to a minimum.

I did not submit this post. A staff member wrote this and had me sign it under false pretenses. This facility had some staff that were intimidating residents, I was moved 4 times without my consent and placed a resident with me who had shingles. The first floor is very clean and the rooms look nice. The second floor is not updated and the dining hall is not clean. There are a few nurses that were really good as well as some CNAs.

I didn’t like it at all. It was not a great experience. Learned a lot from here but they were always short on cnas and lacked compassion. Had to take care of 20-25 patients. They updated the lower level but COMPLETELY neglected the upper level. The wallpaper upstairs is corroded and the entire floor smells of urine and feces. I really feel for the residents there, please don’t put your loved ones in this Home and if you must send them to a Home do your research and choose carefully. A lot of the cnas there are amazing and genuinely care for the residents along with the nurses the main issue is the upkeep of the building and the lack of help. Despite that they still should be shut down.

Horrible front desk service. ..walked in and dealt with a smaller stature caucasian gentleman (best way to describe him ) he was a very.. *unprofessional individual*.

Seriously disgusting. Don’t go and don’t leave your loved ones there. Currently dealing with a bed bug infestation. God bless the poor residents
