One bite my ass! All I needed was a half a bite and I am hooked like a hobo on Xmas. We moved from New York 12 years ago and struggled to find even decent pizza in Pittsburgh. We struggled because it does not exist. Pizza in Pittsburgh is just plain disgusting! Until now! This pizza stacks up with any New York pizza I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of pizza from ny. I will drive the 25 minutes it takes me to get there in a foot of snow. It’s that good. Any negative reviews on here are because they are so used to eating shit pizza they don’t know what pizza is. Keep it up guys, you definitely ROCK!

This pizza was so delicious and outstanding. I will be definitely ordering again. I definitely can’t wait to go open your new location which will be only 10min from my house. Me and my husband order this pizza and wish we order 2 large pizza instead of one. 🍕🍕🙌🏽👏🏽😋

Checked this place out last week before the dinner rush. Lots of parking. Rustic inside, typical pizza joint atmosphere. We got two pizzas the vodka margarita and the ricotta honey. They were delicious. The crust was crispy and everything just tasted so fresh. Definitely will be back to try more!

Love the vodka pizza it was great. Had the grandma pie it was also good but the vodka one was my favorite so far. I have to do a little update. Just ordered a vodka pie to go when I got home they forgot the basil and the pizza was terribly disappointing. Nothing like the first time. I was like a totally different pizza

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had

This is the Pizza I have been searching for. Moved here from NY to escape the craziness but missed the Pizza. I’ve tried 10+ pizza places in the area, and just as I lost hope in finding a decent pizza in PGH I find Rockaway. Thin crust, excellent cheese and spices, crispy bottom. Take it from a New Yorker, this is the real deal NY style Pizza.

Destination Pizza. Well, let me tell you about a pizza place that I love and it’s it’s hidden away in White Oak, Pa. I always ask myself a simple question when considering a pizza. Would I cross a bridge, go through a tunnel and travel travel to get this Pizza. The answer here is emphatic YES. The Pizza here just tastes so good. Run (or drive) don’t walk to enjoy this treasure. Side note they play really good music. Update: The Sicilian pizza might be the best I have ever had, mind you I just bought a single slice as a “ZzAppetizer”

Best pizza in Pittsburgh I’ve had. Pizza Lupo is good but this is way more NYC than lupo.

I am obsessed with pizza and I have had all the top pizzas in the Pittsburgh area and Rockaway is a top 4 pizza for me.
Rockaway, Driftwood Oven, Pizza Lupo, and Mediterra Cafe.
The crust on the Carcosa is one of the best pizzas of all time. I wish they let you put whatever toppings on it rather than just pepperoni, but it is still one of the best pizzas ever even though pepperoni isn't my favorite topping.

All quality and fresh ingredients make their food stand out. Incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection both times I visited. Even straight out of the oven, right to the table - the pizza is not sloppy and holds form. It’s really how pizza should be done (in my opinion). The knots are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle but cooked all the way through as they should be - not partially raw as other places make. Rockaway has their process down pat to make for an enjoyable meal! Wish I had take better photos. The bacon artichoke knots are a must (not pictured here unfortunately) as they are dynamite!

Amazing, can't get enough of this place. The pizza was perfect. The Crust was light, and crispy. Words can't describe how awsome it was. I would love to know who picked the Playlist of the music in the background, it added to the experience. If I closed my eyes I was in Brooklyn eating pizza. Been here before and will be back again. Keep doing what your doing!!!!!

First time I'd ever been there was last night to get pizza for takeout. First of all, the smell was amazing and how every great pizza shop should smell. Secondly, loved all of the posters on the wall! Finally, the pizza is authentic NY style. I wish we lived closer so we could get it more often but will definitely return!

We are a family who only eats pizza a few times a year. This place may turn us into addicts. 💕💕 Beyond delicious. I'm a food snob. These ingredients pass my test.

Just moved to Pittsburgh after living in New York for 7 years and have struggled to find good pizza. This place has it and does New York style pizza justice. Phenomenal and will be a regular now.

We tried Rockaway based on an article I read that rated local pizza shops. The article mentioned that this was a great shop with great toppings...so why not give it a try as I always pass here on the way home from work.
We got the garlic knots, 1/2 of an Italian hoagie, a plain cheese pie and a pie with sweet sausage, pepperoni and fresh mushrooms. They told us 30 minutes and it was ready in 20! We get it home and OMG this is some seriously good pizza just as the article mentioned.
Staff was very friendly and the shop looked to be very clean.
Pizza is my most favorite food and I can guarantee that we will be back .....for sure!

Great great pizza. You can clearly tell the owners have a passion for great pizza. Top 3 pizza place in all of Pittsburgh, also by FAR best Sicilian pizza in all of Pittsburgh. Absolutely divine. Prices are honestly low for the quality and quantity. Great work!!

I was born and raised on Long Island, just outside the NYC line. So I know NY Pizza. Thin, crispy crust, flavorful sauce, just enough oil on the surface. Rockaway Pizza is legit. Truly delicious, and this Pizza rivals Pizza actually made in NYC pizzerias. If you haven't tried it yet, hurry the heck up. You will NOT be disappointed.

The owner reached out to me. They have shakers of salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, hot pepper flakes, and parmesan cheese available behind the counter. And, pizza by the slice is available during lunch hours when demand is high enough.

I have been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood in November, and let me just say, I have jumped from pizza place to pizza place since living in Pittsburgh since 2012. Many many places claim to make NY style but, This is the only place that serves NY style the most authentically and CONSISTENTLY.
They somehow make every pizza the same exact same in terms of ingredients, cooking and quality. It is a bite of heaven every single time.
The garlic knots are amazing too. Overall, everything is amazing. Including the service and cleanliness of the place. The dine in area is so comfortable and welcoming as well.
