I moved in with my partner 6 months ago. He has a great relationship with the office and they have been incredibly pleasant and do their best to answer and questions or concerns in a timely manor. Several of the furnaces went out on one of our coldest Iowa winter days. It was a holiday and the maintenance team took time out of their holiday away from their families to supply those units affected with portable heaters and had the issues fixed quickly. Tammy is incredibly kind and has been helpful on several occasions. Our building has been maintained meticulously, and our unit is beautiful. I would not hesitate to rent from them in the future if needed and would highly recommend. They have a wide variety of properties and are incredibly affordable considering the recent inflation rates among rentals in cedar rapids and surrounding areas! Five stars across the board

They did a great job getting me in my place. I am a first time renter and they helped me through every step. Super friendly!! Was really nervous moving into my own place by myself and they made me feel very comfortable. my apartment was really clean and was fully ready for me when I moved in!!

Kind and thoughtful employees and managed individuals that are very responsive and supportive. Maintenance staff are an amazing group of individuals. Owners are the best !!

I have been living in my unit for the last 3 yrs. As long as you treat them with respect, they will treat you with respect.
All the staff is friendly, professional, and they have a broad range of affordable units, with various locations, to choose from. If you have a maintenance issue, they respond quickly and will go out of their way to make sure its fixed. They allow pets with a reasonable security deposit and monthly rate, but with limits on dog breeds and animal species.
I love the ability to pay my rent online. Its quick and easy.
In the winter, after it snows, they attempt to plow, but not all renters will move their vehicles. Any complaints I have heard, actually came from the tenants who didn't move out of the way.
When I first moved in, the apartment wasn't the cleanest, but it never hurt me. I moved in right after last tenant moved out and knew they never had time to actually clean it, before I moved in. I bought an area rug to cover the stains in the carpet, I got used to the exposed carpet tacks, and sorta cleaned the kitchen sink myself. Maintenance fixed the dripping faucets. No mind altering issues or petty complaints.
People need to realize, that they do purchase older apartment complexes, that previous landlords had neglected and let get run down.
If I ever have to move again, I will see what they have to offer first.

I have enjoyed living with this company, honestly. If we have an issue, they respond pretty quickly. Anything broken has been fixed within a day or two. If they can't fix it right away, they're honest about it.

My only issue with them has been my central air. It is extremely old and they refuse to replace it. They do come out and fix it enough to be manageable throughout the summer, though.

This is the one company that I would stick with if I can when moving because they make it super easy and they won't cheat you on refund back. They might even make it easier.

Great Assortment of places to suit each person's needs or wants in an apartment. Fantastic staff with great communication and transparency to help you get into a place and want to stay there. Never had a problem with the neighbors or other tenants, and would rent from them again.

I have been renting an apartment from them for 12
months (this month actually). I highly recommend them to anyone. From my first interaction with the staff, to the viewing, to getting approved, to moving in, to contacting maintenance for a couple of small things... everything has ran smoothly! The staff is amazing and I honestly believe I made the best decision by going with D&D Real Estate Holdings.

If anyone is wondering... I still love my apartment!

I’ve been with D&D for almost 3 years now and haven’t had any issues with them. This past week they were awesome and helped get me a new place as well as help me move. Tami and the rest office staff have always been polite and understanding when I've reached out as well as the maintenance men. I appreciate everything they have helped me with.

I waited to post my review until I could say I completed the entire experience. Originally, I moved from Montana and they made moving in with them easy even from a distance. I was able to take care of the application online and the deposit through the mail. There was a little mix up when I arrived, but the staff quickly fixed it and I was still able to move in on time. I believe that I have been polite whenever I spoke with the office staff, or the maintenance and they always acted professionally and polite in return. The maintenance guys were lightening fast and I had any fixes done usually within 36 hours of putting in a request. The building I was in was old, but well maintained. I didn't have any complaints about the maintenance, or ladies in the office. It was just sad that they didn't have any property that allowed dogs. At least not in the area that I wanted to move to. Renting from them was great and I'd rent from D&D again. I read about some people complaining about their deposit not being returned. It is part of why I waited until I was relocated before posting a review. My apartment was spotless when I left and I left it in excellent condition. No problems. D&D treated me fairly and I got my deposit back. What money they did keep was itemized on a receipt. I think the charges were fair. If I have to move again in the future I'll be checking out what D&D has available. Thanks for the great experience!

The company strives to provide a great living experience for all tenants. A family oriented business that tries whole heartedly to provide a great leasing & office staff as well as a friendly & professional maintenace team! The respect & responsibilities of a landlord/tenant relationship can be difficult at times but as a non corporate business communication is key!

Highly recommended! Professional and friendly staff. Very timely response to all issues during the past four years and remedied in a timely and courteous manner; no issues went unresolved. The online payment feature is easy to use and will be missed. As a Rental Inspector of a local municipality and a tenant, D & D Real Estate is one of the best rental companies I have had the pleasure of renting from. I have lived at one of their locations for over a year and I love it, the building is clean and the apartments are modern! The maintenance team is quick to address any issues and sometimes the issues will be addressed the same day as the request. I love their easy to use online portal which makes my life easier! Would highly recommend renting from D&D!

Been renting through D&D for over a year now and haven’t had any issues at all! Everyone has always been very welcoming and helpful when needed. The building I am currently living in with them is well maintained and clean. Maintenance is always there within the day and gets everything done without issue. I very much recommend you get your next apartment through D&D!!!

I've lived at Stonewood for 4 years and love it!
The building is clean and quiet, the neighbors are friendly, my apartment is cute and cozy. The D&D office and maintenance staff are helpful, friendly, and prompt in handling any issues or concerns that come up. I can't imagine living anywhere else!

Giving 5 stars as I had a completely reasonable experience with these guys. They weren't intrusive and fixed any maintenance issues very quickly. The realty company is great, but you have to look into A) what you're renting and B) where you're renting it at. Any issues I had usually had to do with the part of town I was in, but the company themselves were solid.

For reference, I rented from them for 1 year.

I have lived in their Meadowview apartments for 2 years now. They've come to fix any issues, repeatedly of necessary, in a timely manner with positive attitudes. Not once have I been disappointed in them! They were very quick to respond after the 2020 derecho, and made sure our homes were safe to live in. I would rent from them again in a heartbeat!

Great Experience! Management was very respectful and professional- if I even had the smallest issue, they had it covered. Maintenance was on demand and quick. Their units are affordable, and so cute and with modern neutral colors! So happy we rented from them! 10/10 recommend!

The guy at the front desk was an amazing help! The gentleman named Bryce was very informational when moving me in. So far there has been zero issues with me lovely new apartment!

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this company. My son and I both rented an apartment and have nothing but good experiences, office staff are really great and have always been professional. I would definitely rent from them again
