The food is awesome. Great to have a place not ran by big Corporations.

Drove by on 2/11/19 and all signs are down with a hand written note saying a new restaurant is coming soon.

The food is excellent. You have to order your food up at the counter before taking your seat but they do bring the food out to your table. Service is always fast and friendly. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Mexican food.

I’ve have been several times. Each a unique and flavorful experience. Stepped outside the box and tried tongue. Was delicious. I think the food is genuinely authentic. Great food Great price and great service. Step outside of your comfort zone. You’ll enjoy your experience.

I have gotten take out from here a few times and have been impressed with the authenticity of the food. I enjoy a smaller menu for the simple reason that the put that much more work into those items. I do however believe that numbering there orders would help significantly. All in all those are minor to the overall rating. There food was great!

This is hands down the best food in dowagiac. I ordered the carnitas, and they were actually the best carnitas I had ever had. I was not expecting it to be so good. Truly taqueria del Rey should be zagat recommended. Guy fieri should come here on diners drive ins and dives. Also the staff is friendly and the food is AFFORDABLE.

Best Mexican restaurant! Food is good, portions are big, prices are fair and people is just the best. Salsas are hot, tortillas are tasty, carnitas are the yummy!

The food in this place is fire! I wish I could take a picture to post it here, but I was too busy in shoving my face in a torta especial!! The guacamole was fresh and the nachos were good!
