The Comics Club

I always hit this shop when visiting family. Owner is great - very passionate about comics and the people who read them. Inclusive, friendly, and well organized.

He does Free Comic Book Day bigger than anyone else in the area with raffles, grab bags, door prizes, contests, trivia, etc. This was my second year I was able to go as my pre- and post-deployment leave liked up perfectly. They also get a lot of the FCBD releases, not just the mainstream publishers (just get there early if you want one that's a little more uncommon).

Okay now the TP review as I exclusively buy TPs/Graphic Novels. Not the *best* selection in the area. Has a couple decent shelves of them though. You'll probably find something. And the Free Comic Book Day deal for TPs was Buy One Get One 50% off (for reference, BOGO 50% off is worse than flat 25% due to the discount going to the cheaper book). Not the best deal in the area for TPs on FCBD as Read More Comics is 25% off TPs every day and Comic Spot had 30% off. If you go all the way to Yancy Street they had 35% off TPs (but not the best selection). Again this is me JUST talking TPs for my fellow TP enjoyers. If you are at Read More Comics for TPs, this place is definitely still worth the stop and it's close by. And if it's Free Comic Book Day, everything else going on is worth making a stop anyway.

There's comic supplies, TTRPG stuff, cards, and TONS of normal comics.

Just arrived here from PA to visit family and had to stop at The Comics Club. So pleases I did. Dewayne and Dolly were amazing. Had great conversation and did a some shopping. After introducing my self as the owner of Baby Gorilla Comics in penndel pa. Dewayne and his wife didn't just look at me as a "secret shopper" but as someone who just wanted to pick there brain and they had so much knowledge of not just running a business but the comic books them selves. The store was very cleaned and organize. I assure you I will be back. Now to get to the chopper lol.

I've been coming to this store for several years. The selection is great, the owners friendly, enthusiastic, & helpful. I also enjoy the events they have, such as Free Comicbook Day & Halloween.

They have tons of wall space full of Comics that are well organized. They have such a huge variety of stuff for you to explore.

All kinds of awesome collectables to go through. Back issue books are kinda pricey though. Overall, good experience though.

Dwayne (owner) is very knowledgeable and friendly. We go there for our Pathfinder books, dice, figures, and card games. Him and his wife are very professional and courteous. It's gaming supplies for a good price too! You're always a winner when you shop at the Comics Club!

Love this store. The owner is super nice and has great recommendations for comic books. He has a massive selection and lots of collectibles too.

A few weeks ago I was frantically searching for a Street Fighter comic that was handed out on Free Comic Book Day that I just missed. I called stores up and down until I reached Duane's. He said he'll take a look but I didn't put much faith in it. When most other stores turned up with no luck I decided to go to the Comics Club in person because hey, why not?

Lo and behold, he had the last issue of that comic waiting for me. Turned out to be the last one available. I was extremely happy and impressed. He and his wife were very friendly and caring, even at the near-closing minutes that I arrived at the store. They have a great selection and a nice down-to-earth atmosphere. They may or may not have ignited a comic book/graphic novel addiction within me especially with their comic book program. I can't recommend them enough.

Went in for the first time today on a bit of a whim. Was absolutely blown away by the sheer amount of awesomeness within. Tons of back issues, good selection of graphic novels, and incredibly friendly staff. Glad to have such a great LCS only 5 minutes away.

First time in this store. I liked it so much I went twice on the same week (don't live close). The owners are very nice and ready to help with anything. This will be my go to comic store from now on, since the other wasn't so helpful. Thank you

Great selection of RPG and board games as well as a huge assortment of comics. Owners are always friendly and helpful. Never pushy to make a sale. The also have a lot more items for sale on website. I really enjoy going here and spending time looking at all the cool stuff they have.

Cool little combination Game & comic store. Knowledgeable staff helped me pick some new games for my collection based on my lights. Haven't played them yet, but feel comfortable that I will enjoy them based on the conversation I had with them and their play experience. Extremely friendly people there, highly recommend if you're looking for anything in the gaming or comics relm.

Good people and good prices. Dolly and Duane make every effort to greet--and befriend--their customers. Their prices are quite fair--and if you pull books, you get an excellent discount storewide.

What to say about your Friendly Local Comics and Games Shoppe?

Let's start with the bad...
Ummm, there is nothing bad that I can think of.
Honestly, this is the perfect local comics shop.
The staff are the owners.
I've purchased more than I thought on many occasions and still found more to purchase...

I've found back issues that I've been searching for since the early 70's.
I've found new series because they recommend based on the books I select.
I've found too much Munchkin... Oh dear they've enabled my purchasing on almost every set produced.
I joked many times about just sending my paycheck to them...

So, without fear of contradiction, I have to admit that this is one of the best, friendliest and most knowledgeable shops I have been to.
I can honestly tell people go here, take the time, say hello and pick up the latest comics, That new Spiderman is good, and you can also pick up some miniatures to use when you play D&D. And look for the hidden jokes in the store.

So... Go visit, pick up a comic, say hello, look for the glow in the dark Cthulu and tell them Will sent ya...

The owners are some of the best people. Duane sells merch for fair prices and will answer any questions you have. He also has YouTube videos every week on the new comics out and some other very interesting videos My family and I are in here about once a week. This is our comic book shop!
