Saint City Running

I’d been running in Xero shoes for awhile and knew it was time to get a pair of “cushy” running shoes- but I was nervous there wouldn’t be any options that had a wide toe box and minimal arch support (things I love about Xeros).

I stopped in just to check and walked out with an amazing pair of shoes that checked all my boxes and were even my favorite color.

Henry was so kind, helped me through the process and understood my specific requests- he was even wearing a pair of wide toe box shoes too!

What a great experience. I’m sure to be back for any and all running gear I’ll need in the future.

This has been my favorite shop for the last couple years. The staff are always so friendly and SO knowledgeable. Most recently worked with Jonah, who helped me get some much needed new running shoes. He was very patient and thoughtful! Love this place.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at St. City Running! As someone who strongly believes in keeping my hard-earned money within the neighborhood rather than supporting big box stores, this place exceeded all my expectations. I'm not an elite runner, but the staff never made me feel rushed or pushed towards a purchase. Instead, they showed genuine interest in helping me find the right pair of running shoes.

Went in for a gait analysis and new running shoes. The staff was nothing short of FANTASTIC! The team was knowledgeable, patient, and very passionate about not just running, but helping you get what you need to be a better runner. Fully recommend this store and will be returning for all my future running needs.

Saint City Running is a great place to shop for running gear. I went to get new shoes and was given amazing service. The staff were very knowledgeable, were able to suggest a variety of possible shoes based on my running and preferences, and were able to answer all of my questions. I would not hesitate to shop here for anything running related.

Came in very late on a Sunday afternoon. No one hesitated to fit me and my partner after hours?! SO freaking nice and informative and I have a new pair of shoes for walking, my knees no longer hurt. I cannot thank them enough! Their whole fitting process was extensive but efficient. Cannot recommend them enough!

I've been wearing Brooks shoes in later life. The attending representative at Saint City was so bright, courteous, and thoughtful. He made a suggestion that I try on a wide this time and that was a good suggestion for me. I bought Brooks Ghost 15's again. I'm a walker, not a runner, plus I am on my feet at a part time job. They are perfect for me.

I came in to get fitted for shoes (foot scan, gait observance) and found out a lot about my flat feet. The staff is super friendly and I got a pair of shoes that were much more affordable than I anticipated. They also offer running groups out of the store and at their other location, Mill City Running, for people of all paces/running levels. It's clear the team there is knowledgeable and I felt welcomed the entire time. Plus, Freckles the Aussie Shepherd rocked. 5 stars from me!

Great service. I had a series of issues making it difficult for me to run without getting injured. They took the time to listen, worked with me and made some recommendations until we got the right feeling in a shoe. I have been running again injury free and I am thankful to St City!

What we ❤ about Mill City Running and Saint City Running is that these shops serve all generations in our family. Thanks for being inclusive to the non-runner too! Those who walk, hike, stroll + jog are as welcome as the marathoner.

Love their new store! It’s so cute and quaint! It’s also on a block with some other shops that are fun to shop at. The experience is great, the fitting process is really helpful for new runners. There is so much more to running than just lacing up some sneakers and going. It’s nice to have such knowledgeable owners and staff. Everyone is so kind and helpful. They also offer group runs which I’m excited to try once I figure out my stride! Can’t wait to come back when I wear these new shoes out!

I just took my 9-yr old daughter to get fitted for shoes at Saint City Running last week and Gabby did an amazing job. My daughter LOVED the experience and Gabby created that amazing experience for her. She was so gentle and kind and patient in dealing with my daughter and helping her navigate running shoes…which is a tall order for a 9-year old girl (at least mine). Amazing people, service, and brand.

I used to despise running due to sharp knee pain any time I would go for a run. I thought it was my form/stride to blame. Turns out not all running shoes are the same. Narrow or wide, more or less arch support, and whether or not you want more or less cushion in the sole of the shoe.

I was sized for a shoe using a 3D scan to analyze the shape and pressure points specific to my feet.

I am happy to say I enjoy running now and no more sharp knee pain during those long runs.

The staff and process of finding the right shoe was top notch and quite fun. I highly recommend checking them out if you are in the market.

Honestly the best place to get info about shoes, gear, training- anything! No pressure to buy, they take time to find the right thing for you, whatever it is and whatever your experience level. I’m not a super competitive runner and still feel welcome and understood at Saint City. Highly recommend going to get fitted for a running bra, it’s been a game changer. I’m glad to shop and support local.

Fantastic customer service from Leo. I really appreciate that their foot and gait analysis takes out the guesswork. No upselling or pressure. Chill vibe from staff and other customers. Excellent store -- won't go anywhere else for running shoes.

Loved my experience at the store. People were super knowledgeable and friendly and patient! Love my new New Balance shoes that were ordered for me. They are perfect. And I will definitely be back to Saint City!

The team that brought you Mill City Running in Minneapolis has done it again. Saint City Running is an amazing spot in St. Paul's Highland neighborhood. The space is great, staff amaizing, and I'd imagine community one to rival the Minneapolis contingent once the cloud of COVID lifts.

What a great experience for this relatively inexperienced runner. Riley helped me with a fit test, assessed my pronation, & took a short video of my gait while running on the treadmill. Then she talked with me about my running history, what shoes I've worn in the past, what I like and don't like, and took the time I needed to find the just-right shoes for me. Did I spend more than I planned? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes! Because I'm supporting a small local business that is providing a personal service that Amazon and the Asics Outlet Store will never be able to provide.

Was in Saint City Running to get shoes for my son. Max went the extra mile to tie new Laces for Sam's new shoes. Great service. I recommend this store.
