Had to wait a little to be served, but once I was it was amazing!!! Got a gyro and I was thinking about getting hummus but decided not to since I didn’t want to spend too much. The man serving me brought out a hummus sample for me to try it and it was delish! I ate up that gyro and hummus so fast, it was great!!!

This cafe or restaurant is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in this area. I did not expect to find such distinctive Middle Eastern food as what is served here. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is very delicious .

Shish is an excellent place to satisfy my longing for flavors from the Middle East. The food is very flavorful and fresh. The portions are good to be shared. Service was impeccable as well. It’s a lovely place to come back to and know we will eat marvelously.

My sons and I passed this place multiple times and finally went in for a try. LOVED it. You walk in, order, and find a place to sit. There is indoor and outdoor seating (of course depending on the weather). There is plenty of seating inside. The food arrived and I was hit with the delicious Mediterranean smells. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and side of fries to share. All was delicious! Definitely coming back here to try the mouth watering looking desserts. Drool.

Very quaint place for Turkish Mediterranean food. The ordering experience was smooth and modern. The food tasted delicious. We loved the Turkish breakfast. The Turkish coffee was surprisingly not bitter compared to similar places. The portions were hearty for a brunch. It's definitely worth coming back to.

We had lunch at Shish and sat outside. It's a great casual Middle Eastern restaurant with reasonable prices and large portions. We tried the Gyro Pita, the Chicken Shawarma, the Lamb Burger and the Falafel Pita. Everything was fresh and delicious. They also have fresh squeezed lemonade. Service was fast and friendly, highly recommend.

We had a great breakfast at Shish! They seemed short-staffed so we had to wait a while to place our order, but it came out pretty quickly and everything was delicious. My husband got the Greek omelet and I got the Shish Breakfast. The tzatziki was full of dill and the breakfast potatoes were crispy. Can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner!

Loved my falafel wrap. The pickle up-sell was appreciated -- very tasty! Would come here weekly if I lived close by!

This place was great! From out of town and was very hungry. Prices are reasonable considering the quantity and quality! We got the Trio Kebas and the traditional hummus. Pita Bread was delicious as well and would recommend this place if you are 1) hungry 2) looking for healthier options 3) like flavor!

Plus the staff were two young men who absolutely crushed it! Very one top of things.

Could call this my new favorite restaurant, and an easy 5 stars. Everything from the moment I walked in was captivating, delighted the senses, and made me wonder why I hadn’t been to Shish sooner.

The ambience is lively, homey, modern, elegant, and bright. Large framed photographs, colorful signage, and intricate woodwork adorn the walls. It was pretty busy for being 1, 2pm. Service was not the fastest, but that’s to be expected for the items we got including a deliciously warm, spiced chicken curry and kebab feast. If you’re looking for a quick bite, they have that too in the form of appetizers, gyros, and bowls. I was impressed by the selection of offerings which also include a brunch menu, dessert, and teas. I ordered a bunch, and already can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Thank you Shish! You gave me a taste of home, authentic food, and a memorable dining experience. Everything was delicious. This is a great spot to bring a friend, introduce them to mediterranean food, or to indulge in well-prepared, tried and true favorites. Highly recommend.

P.S. In the running for best falafel in the Twin Cities for me, up against Wally’s, Olive & Lamb, Foxy Falafel, and Falafel King. Just some food for thought.

Hadn’t heard of this place before stopping in for breakfast and it blew me away! I got the chakshuka and an almond milk latte for a reasonable price considering how much food I got! The chakshuka was delicious and well seasoned, and my latte was the perfect temperature. The atmosphere was nice, inviting clean, and I loved sitting outside. I’ll be telling everyone to try Shish, I know I’ll be back to try more dishes!

Loved their breakfast items. We ordered Avocado Toast, Shish breakfast and Turkish coffee and every bite was rich with flavor. The serving was more than enough for one person. The ambiance is perfect for a weekend morning :)
Will definitely be back for more!

This place is amazing! Food and service was great! We are about 1/2hr from here and have a Mediterranean place right by where we live but we would rather drive the 1/2 because it's so good! Highly recommend! So many different choices and the dessert case is amazing! Was hard to choose what we wanted because everything looked so good.

Good food and it is a pleasant place to eat. I get salads, falafel, soups. They’ve all been tasty. Fast service and the staff has always been friendly. Parking is on the street, and you may have to go around the block at busy times. No clue if the food is “authentic” but I do like eating here. Shish has breakfast and coffee which I want to try when I get the chance.

Nice authentic Mediterranean themed restaurant. The host-server was courteous and welcoming. Food was great with few nice touches. They have good menu options and quality/quantity of portion was also good.

They have nice vegetarian options and Turkish coffee is a must try. Ambiance is nice and cozy which adds up to your mood.

This is a good brunch place in St Paul. We were three people - all vegetarians. We ordered the veggie omelette, the falafel Benedict and the shakshouka. All of them tasted great, service was a little on the slower side than I would have expected for a brunch spot. But the good food more than made up for it. The side of potatoes was sooo tasty!

This place is great. I personally love the loaded falafel burger, though like many veg burgers it quickly becomes a salad, it comes with the territory. My wife tells me we need to return for their hummus. Last time we instead ordered the tabouli, which was delicious. The curry was a little thin but tasty nonetheless. They also have some prepared foods available for take home enjoyment.

Went here for a casual date night and had a good time. I came prepared to walk a few blocks, as parking on Grand Avenue is usually an issue, but we found a spot right across the street. We spent about an hour there, and during that time, the restaurant had a consistent flow of customers (mostly pick up orders), but the vibe was still very chill. The atmosphere was calm, the staff were friendly and I loved the quaintness of the decor. We ordered the chicken shawarma and gyro wraps. The chicken was so delicious and full of flavor, that it (and the sauce/juice that dropped from the wrap) had me licking my fingers. We were both stuffed from the large wraps, and took the huge slice of carrot cake to go (after a few bites). I usually have to eat quickly when sharing a dessert, but the slice was so big that I was able to enjoy it at home and take my time savoring each bite, without worrying that my half would get eaten. The cake was good but had an extra chewy texture, in my opinion. It tasted a bit undercooked or as if it didn’t have enough dry ingredients, but this may have been intentional, as everyone makes cakes differently. I love carrot cake but am not a fan of cream cheese, so I appreciated that the frosting didn’t have a strong cream cheese flavor. If I lived closer to this restaurant, I could definitely see myself stopping here a few days a week, to try different items from the menu. Despite the distance, I’m sure I’ll be back.
