I'm so excited to have a vegan place to eat only 20 miles from me. The food was so good, the server was amazing, and the atmosphere was so relaxing! I also shopped at their market, and picked up some Romenesco, carrots, vegan cheeses, and a couple of other things. Highly recommend!

A beautiful cafe, super cool store and market with local goods, fantastic food, and fun music venue! Delicious vegan and organic food and coffee… obsessed with this place! My brother is a local and he took me here while I was visiting because he thought I’d like it. He thinks it’s hands-down the best place to get food in Big Fork. I tried the power protein salad, cauliflower soup, breakfast burrito, and mushroom latte, and everything was amazing! I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. I can’t wait to come back!

The owners Chris, Jenny, Max (the legend himself), and their sweet pup Charlie have given their whole hearts to this dream of Max's. It's an organic market, a gathering place, a cafe, a music venue, a place to listen to an enormous collection of records, but most of all a place where you will be welcomed and hosted by an incredibly warm staff who truly care about your experience. Their food and drink is of the highest quality with utmost concern given to sustainable and organic sourcing. Their special seated dinners, brunches, and live music performances are never an after thought but special, unique, one of a kind experiences curated for the highest quality. Stop in at Max's and say hi! Chris, the coffeejack, is also pretty mean behind that espresso machine! :)

Leave it to me to fall hard in love with a place just before they close for the season. I can't wait until they reopen in the Spring.
We came for a seasonal vegan dinner (even though we're not vegans) and from the moment we walked in, Jenny greeted us like family.
The harvest season is a time when many of us pause to feel gratitude and dinner kicked off with Jenny's warm expression of gratitude for each one o her staff members.
Dinner was fantastic and I'm so sad that Chef Noah is moving out of the valley. He will be missed and I look forward to his pop ups when he visits. Each dish came with a story and Noah's creativity and thoughtfulness behind each dish made every bite taste more special.
Wine pairings were also top notch.
Most everyone present seemed to be Bigfork residents, but hey, Kalispell and the rest of the valley, you need to go check it out, even if you're not vegan!

Jenny, your grace in how you treat others is something I aspire to. Thank you for being you. And we can't wait to see you next year.

Great place... The sandwiches are wonderful... Great bread. They have organic produce and an array of other goodies including coffee, wine, beer and more in an eclectic, retro and cute atmosphere...

If you've never been to Max's, go and then go again and again. You'll find a beautiful and intentional space filled with fantastic food (raw and prepared), music, locally sourced and sustainable products, killer coffee, and so much more. You are also likely to make amazing connections with two and four-legged beings. Be careful though, because after you leave, you may find yourself longing for that special place called Max's.

Probably the only bidet within a 100 miles....and the best Mac&Cheese I've ever had!

I wish I could take this place and put it in my pocket for all time. The energy, the local food and the people here are stellar. Thank you for having vegan and vegetarian options in Bigfork! All locally made in Montana. The vegan choc chip cookies are unforgettable and the homemade grab and go food is so delicious. And thank you for the wonderful coffee and live music. It's such beautifully intimate venue. I will never forget this place - it made our visit to Bigfork so much better. Our dogs, Alaska and Smoky Joe, could have chilled out here forever with Charlie!

What a wonderful place! I’m so grateful to have delicious plant based options in Bigfork! Try their food and take the time to look at all their thoughtfully sourced goods. I found some adorable locally made earrings and a great book on my last visit. I stopped by on a Friday night - they have live music too! You’ll enjoy the atmosphere and great energy here! The owners are fantastic.

This place is so delicious, and such a welcome surprise in Bigfork, where most of the restaurants are very meat-heavy. The staff was very friendly and it’s a very cute atmosphere with a tiny and cute market. Being from LA, we have a lot of vegan choices, and this is as good or better than anything we have back home.

Very cute spot with tasty food and coffee! Just be aware that their Sunday Brunch menu is just two rotating dishes. Delicious, but don’t go in expecting a lot of options.

Max's Market is such a gem! I appreciate the amazing selection of products, and I've discovered some new local brands here. They also host fun community events and concerts. It's a perfect place for the whole family!

Totally in love with this place. How delightful to find Vegan baked goods and groceries in Montana. The lady behind the counter made me one of the best Americanos I've ever had. She knows how to properly pull a shot. Lovely atmosphere. Fantastic selection of everything. A beautiful place. Bigfork is lucky to have this gem!

Hands down the BEST organic grocery store in the valley! Jenny and Chris are the nicest owners setting the standard for how to do it right and hire wonderful staff.

From the amazing produce, baked goods, yummy homemade food, and steamy americano’s made from love; all the way to the good vibes, cool handmade products made in Montana, and live music.. this place truly has it all!! Make sure to stop by and grab a plant-based chocolate chip cookie, you will love it!

A very interesting place and a must go!
We randomly stopped by a couple of days ago for a break on the way driving from Glacier to Missoula. The people were so nice so we decided to take a coffee break; then a smell attracted us so we decided to add up a soup; then the place looked so cozy to us so we decided to just sit there and relax. Then the dog dropped by to say hello and some other people were setting up for a music performance....
Great people, great place, and great coffee as well.

Incredible. One of our favorite spots when we head to Montana. Great food, great drinks, great music... Will be back for sure.
