Topaz Café

This was my first time dining here and it was a pleasurable one. We started out with a pre-dinner cocktail at the bar. I had a Chopin Vodka martini with blue cheese olives and it was made on point. My SO said his Negroni was good. The bartender was very pleasant.

Then we were seated at our table for dinner. We started with the baked goat cheese app and oysters. We got 3 raw oysters and 3 wood fired oysters. I'm glad our server told us we could do half and half of the oysters so we could try both preps. I preferred the baked option. The baked goat cheese app was delicious. It came with little crunchy pieces of toasts to dip and the cheese was very flavorful and gooey. I would get it again.

For my meal, I chose the Great Lakes Whitefish and got it simply grilled with the sauce on the side and substituted the risotto for green beans and carrots although I ended up getting green beans and spinach which was fine since I like spinach. I like places that let you customize your entrees or sub sides. It makes a huge difference and is much appreciated when you are at a restaurant spending a lot of money! My fish was light and tender and my overall entree was very good. My SO ordered the calves liver and onions, and said it was great. We also got an order of roasted smash potatoes to share. They were delicious too. Our server was attentive and super nice. The only thing I wish he would've done different was to bring out the complimentary bread and butter before the start of the meal so we could've had with our appetizers. He did bring us a complimentary dessert port wine which was very kind of him. Overall, we both had a great meal from start to finish, and we look forward to coming back again to try more dishes and cocktails.

Alex, the top-tier waiter, did a fantastic job. Everything he recommended was spectacular. His warm, welcoming personality made the night and the whole experience worthwhile. From the GTO cocktails to the entrées.
Ordered Bone In Ribeye, Roasted Smashed Potatoes, and Sweet potato Ravioli. Everything was outstanding.
Topaz have a California Beach vibe with a Miami ambience. A place to be.❤

Visited this restaurant for a group meeting. The "Rigatoni a la Vodka" along with the freshly baked bread was delicious. The mini desert sampler was perfect.

Lovely Americana restaurant. The eggplant was delicious. The lamb shank was so well done. Short ribs were fork tender and served with dark deep flavored sauce. White fish was great. Apple dessert was so delicious. Go and have fun. Mid-week is the best time to go.

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and have enjoyed my experience thus far. The food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even have a bar within the restaurant. As well as an outside bar with patio; perfect for outdoor dining. I would recommend the seafood; like the great lakes white fish. They also have a ball area for private events. This is the place to go for fine dining.

Very nice ambiance inside. Food was delicious. Ordered the beet salad and was very impressed with it. Drink selection is fantastic. Looking forward to coming back here and sitting on the patio. Was bigger than I thought.

Attended the Mondavi wine tasting event at Topaz. The food paired beautifully with the wines. Our entire table agreed that the short rib and smoked butternut squash dish was simply delightful. We kicked off our meal with the Salmon Tartare, a light yet flavorful starter that left me wanting more. The Mahi Mahi, with its coconut curry, was rich and satisfying--I'm crossing my fingers that it becomes a permanent menu item. And the pappardelle with lamb ragu tasted like it was made fresh to order. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

Excellent food and amazing service. Everyone was so friendly. The owner or manager? was very kind and made sure to check on us while our waitress, Zane, was very attentive and educated us on the steak we had. Loved the experience. My husband and I will be back again! Especially for the steak— superb sear. Chefs kiss.

Been coming here for years. Went for Valentine's Day this year. Service was excellent. Our host, Alex, was most gracious 11/10 for his service.

Had Date night & randomly picked this spot. we absolutely love this place I cannot wait to come back! Very good service /clean establishment. The drinks are dangerously good 👍🏻 our fav was the white Sangrias. We also tried the calamari & our pastas were recommended by the server and it didn’t disappoint ❣

I tried Topaz for the first time and it was pretty great. The ribeye was so good, calamari was delicious too. We had outdoor seating which was also nice since they had heaters. Service was also great. Definitely recommend this place.

The food was amazing the service was awesome, great atmosphere over all, it was very cold that night but the experience we had was warm and inviting, well worth the trek for sure, very nice place especially for special occasions, will go back when it's warmer lol

My girlfriend took me here for a bday dinner w my mom. Such a hidden gem! There is valet in front if you can't find parking or are running late. They had my Moscato D'Asti which i love to drink and can be hard to find. My Halibut was delicious! We had fun! They were very attentive and accommodating. Thanks for a great time...we will be back!

Amazing place to work and to wine and dine as well! Make sure you visit when in Burr Ridge! And if you are celebrating an important date this is the place to do it! I celebrated my birthday here and honestly was one of the best ones ever! Thank you Topaz!

Had dinner there Christmas Eve. There's a lot of pressure for a special occasion meal to be memorable; Topaz didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere, food and service meant a great time was had by all.

What an amazing place. There is plenty of delicious dishes to chose from. Service is excellent. Highly recommend.
