Appointment was on time, all tests were well explained, was not pushed to get new glasses, and impact and timing of cataract surgery was well explained. This was my first visit and it was great!!!

Great visit. Dr. Whelan does a wonderful job at explaining about the various aspects of the eye exam, informing you on the purpose, and letting you know about your eye health. The staff is very professional, helpful and friendly.

My kids and I have been going here for at least 15 years! Both Drs are professional and friendly. The exams are thorough and reasonable in price. All the front desk staff are always helpful and kind. The facility is modern and clean. I always recommend Beacon Eye Care

I'd put off my appointment so asked to be placed on the waiting list and had an appointment within days. Dr Boutet and staff were extremely professional, friendly and most importantly listened to feedback I'd provided. I have very bad astigmatism in one eye and mentioned that it seemed that if I rotated that contact a bit that my vision improved. Dr Boutet listened to my feedback and sure enough a 10 degree change in axis did make a difference.

The preliminary testing was a breeze and for those who dread the "puff of air" procedure will be happy to know that it's been replaced by a device that makes is barely noticeable. As someone who is no longer diabetic I was also pleased that they do have the ability to use a camera to produce images that I can see to confirm that I have no vascular damage (I'm not a medical professional so hope my explanation is accurate.) This was not an option at my previous eye care office.

For anyone looking to make a change in their eye care I'd certainly recommend Dr Boutet and Beacon Eye Care.

I have been a patent for several years. Yesterday I had my annual appointment. The office staff is very helpful and courteous. The appointment started on time as all of my appointments there have. The office is clean and well kept. An issue was found with my eyes that did not surprise me as I had been experience symptoms. I was given samples of over the counter medication to treat it. How to treat the condition was clearly explained to my and an easy to under stand leaflet was also giver with clear directions and the most important things underlined. I would highly recommend Beacon Eye Care.

These are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I’ve used Beacon for years for my eyes and glasses. They never force unnecessary costs, will hep with issues with your glasses and even help you choose new frames. You just can’t go wrong here. Dr. Boutet is good at her trade, and fun too!

As always, the staff is always friendly and goes beyond to make sure that each person has the best experience. Dr Whelan is extremely knowledgeable and fantastic with children. Can’t say enough about the excellent care provided along with a comprehensive explanation of all parts of the exam. I have been a patient there since moving to Maine in the 1950’s. Dr Ed Whelan was a true leader in the community and passed on this legacy to the next generation.
