Best salmon dip ever! They also serve generous portions of their snow crab and boiled shrimp at a reasonable price. Staff was always friendly but sometimes due to a lot of orders, may take a bit to get your food but it’s well worth the wait. The atmosphere was casual and very friendly.

PS their Halloween decorations were great!!!

I am not going to write a review because this amazing gem is small, quaint, rustic and should never change a thing. Definitely some of the best shrimp I have ever had. The stone crab claws were great. Oh, the clam chowder is to die for. If you find this place, and know the password to get in (wink, there isn't one but it seems like there should be) GO! And get the full order of shrimp.

Homemade clam chowder and a bread bowl was the best. The crab legs were awesome and the shrimp were fabulous and so much for the price. Smoked mullet fresh! Easy to get to and I can't wait to go back and eat there again. A treasure in Homosassa.

A very local waterfront seafood place for true seafood lovers. If you don’t love shrimp or mussels or smoked mullet. Pass this by. It’s seafood heavy. A few items for the family members forced to come along like a jam and cheese wrap and a great hot pretzel.

I missed the smoked mullet, but I was not disappointed. I order the mussels in garlic butter and ate part of my wife’s 2.5 pounds of shrimp. The cocktail sauce cleaned out my nasal passages just the way I like it.

Service was great. Christy saw to us and I think the whole room as well and we were quite happy.

Come by Freezers for a very casual fantastic seafood experience.

And the whole family of four are for $60. Including tip. Cash only here as well, but they have an atm.

This is the best place we have found on our adventures heading south for the winter. It get 5 stars all around. Don’t let the outside if the place fool you into thinking it’s a bust to eat at.

5 Stars, First time here and most certainly, not the last. Great little hidden gem of a spot. Excellent seafood, drinks and the best views of a quiet spot with excellent seating areas outside. Beware of the squirrels who are very determined to help you eat it all.

Gotta say this is some of the Best Fresh Shrimp we ever had! First timers and we will definitely be regulars when we’re back! Service is just as good! Nice outside tables as well!

This tiki bar has everything. Spacious inside covered seating for those who want to be inside. Lots of outside seating with authentic grass umbrellas. It's also got a beautiful marina if you want to look at the water. The wildlife wanders around and doesn't mind if you throw it a crumb every here and there. Such beautiful birds. When you get there and park the car, you have no idea what's behind the wall. It's a shock to see such a nice place with wonderful food. We got the shrimp and it was delicious. Topped off with a beer. Doesn't get much better. The place is kind of hidden down some back roads, but it's more than worth the drive. I highly recommend The Freezer. I will definitely be back.

Got a seat right away, but lots of folks eating in, food will take about 30 mins. We ordered Clam Chowder and Shrimp.

What a cool spot! After a great Mother’s Day at the beach we were hungry, my husband surprised me stopping here. You’ve been hearing about The Freezer for a while and finally made it out there. It’s incredibly casual with a laid back feeling. Great view off there back dock area. We enjoyed watching the sunset and even a curious gator that dropped by. I definitely recommend it and hope to come back again! You gotta make it out there.

The Freezer has the best Shrimp! It comes with a delicious seasoning and is the best tasting Shrimp we've had here in Florida!! We always sit out side so we can watch the boats come in and see the wild life there. When family comes in that it the first place we take them and often they say during their stay let's go to the Freezer again!! It may not look like it from the road but this place it the place you'll want to come back to!!

Cool place. I'd go back for the food and prices, but it's not like your going to go there to have fun and smooze with the bartender. Make your own fun when you go!
Maybe it's more fun at night or the weekend, but during the day, just for a meal.

We went back again. The bartender was very friendly. We had chowder and mullet dip. It seems to be a common thing here.Its a smoked fish flavor but We didn't want it. We took it home to use it for bait. 😆
I will try something different next time.
I did get a kick out of the sign " no dogs beyond this point" to which there were at least 2 dogs....good stuff.

We went for steak night on Wednesday. The steak was delicious! It's a cash only place, but there's an ATM. The only thing I find a bit annoying about the place are the flies. The food is great.

Edit: Were back again a few days later. It's that good.

Well here you are finding yourself at the freezer asking for no more since your dream just came true! Loved the fish dip with a little hot sauce and the shrimp was incredible!

Hiden gem dive bar atmosphere. Looked kinda scary iffy from outside... Excellent, excellent food, talked with another customer, and he said to order full order of steamed shrimp. Yummy Jamie and I shared that it was absolutely perfect again excellent. Also had clam chowder bread bowl yummy. The place was full, so we knew it had to be good. Make it a stop...yummy
