Old Florida style restaurant with a lake view. Felt like family my first visit. Definitely feel the connection to the community when you walk in. The food was very good! It’s a bit of a drive if you’re staying in the main part of Crystal River, but it’s worth it!

Took a ride from St. Pete's to meet some friends in Homasassa. We decided to try Backwater Fins....a first for us. We were very pleased with everything about our visit. They have a deck for seating, plus indoor tables. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. She offered a few suggestions that proved to be spot on. The food was cooked to perfection and delicious!

First visit today, vert impressed! Food delicious, service was very, very good. Great water view! Definitely recommend. Had onion rings in light batter and they were crunchy, nit drenched in oil. Coconut shrimp served in half a grilled pineapple with white rice and a mango pineapple salsa. DOUBLE YUM! Steamed broccoli was perfect and coleslaw was fresh and tasty. TWO THUMBS UP

The BEST food we’ve eaten in Florida in 2 years! Michael the server with the baritone voice suggested our foods since the menu was loaded with tasty options and I loved my shrimp tacos with mango sauce (and the best loaded baked potatoes) and my hubby had the grouper Reuben (with cabbage not coleslaw) with amazing onion rings) We’re coming back here again before we head home!!

First time here- and we WILL be back!! Crab bisque served with bacon wrapped shrimp - out of the world!! my husband and I both had the lunch shrimp basket, and the shrimp were so lightly battered and butterflied beautifully. It was delicious. Key lime pie for dessert was perfect ending. We sat outside and I’m so sorry we did not get our servers name. Service was outstanding!

Stopped into support a local business after being hit by Hurricane idalia. Service was good and fast. They are on a limited menu at this time. Had never been to this restaurant before. They are located directly on the water with great views.
Our server was extremely attentive and went over and above to make sure we were happy with our meal and everything was good.

We had a party of 6 for lunch. It was amazing and good sized portions. I only took a couple of pictures but we will definitely be back!

The food here was delicious. I got the expensive burger and it was cooked to perfection. The wife got the BLT and she said it was good. She likes her bacon a little more crispy than rubbery so make sure to order the bacon accordingly. Nice view and good people. We went for lunch.

Wow!! Food here is amazing. I came with my family and the servers are friendly, food exceeds expectations, and the view of the water is great. We shared a huge platter of seafood, corn, etc which was spectacular! Highly recommend!

Our server Kacie made our visits the best! The food is amazing, try it all!! We had dinner twice as well as brunch.
Our favourites were the seafood Alfredo and stuffed shrimp. Sit out in the patio, if the bugs are out they’ll provide some spray.. worth sitting by the water for!
This place is busy all the time and we know why: great food, great service!

The best place we ate at our whole trip! Our server was efficient and friendly, and the food was amazing! We had the seafood Alfredo… crab, scallops, & shrimp. Do yourself a favor and get it! Grouper sandwich was great, too.

had the absolute nicest waitress and was so helpful with what we should get. such a cool place and will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area! The food was delicious!!

Best onion rings and fish tacos I have ever had.

Kayci was waiting on our table today. She was very friendly and helpful. Pointed out the specials for the day (Tuesday)… and made sure we knew what were some of the more popular items on the menu. We never got past the appetizers this first time eating here. We started with a cup of each of the soups. Both were delicious and their clam chowder is the best around. I’ve never had blue crab bisque before and it was incredible! I even asked Kayci if it’s sold by the quart, ( it is and by the gallon). Good to know!! So yummy. We had their #1 appetizer: Stuffed Cajun Angels, along with Peg Legs (mozzarella sticks) Fried Green Tomatoes and Extreme Bites. Our favorites are in order listed. Thank you for a great lunch! We will be back because the hamburger smell just outside really had my mouth watering. Definitely ordering one next time!

The Shrimp Alfredo was perfectly seasoned and had plenty perfectly plump fresh shrimp and sweet bay scallops. Jayci, our pleasant and experienced waitress touched on several items listed on the menu and highlighted the dish detail. A very clean well ran establishment. We enjoyed the scenic drive down Ozello Trail. Highly Recommended!

This place was great! We gave it a shot while in the area on vacation. Food was a super fresh, great portion sizes, and reasonably priced. Staff was extremely friendly and topped of the visit perfectly. We had the Gator Bites, Nachos, Snow Crabs, and Hook Line & Sinker plate (blackened), all of it was great!

One of the best Crab Bisques I’ve ever had in my 35 years of restaurant cooking and eating! We will be back. Service was awesome and the outside deck with a bald eagle overhead was perfect.

This is our new favorite dinner place when visiting Homosassa. Such great food!! Our waitresses are always very nice.

February '23 - This is a comfy spot with a relaxed vibe, a favorite with locals. You can expect SUPER cold beer and good eats.
This time, I tried the nachos. OMG 😲 It was HUGE! There's enough to share, that's for sure! All of the toppings were very fresh, and there was ample taco meat. 🤌 I rate these five ⭐ nachos, for sure!
Staff is always kind and attentive to us.
I tried the haddock sandwich & fries lunch special on previous visits. It's very tasty 😋
My Greyhound absolutely loves the cheese grits.
