Wonderful ice cream. Lots of great selections. I had the chocolate mint chip and it was fabulous. Added hot fudge sauce which made it extra delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful and very welcoming. We sat outside to eat the ice cream perfect!

New to the area , Melissa made me feel so welcomed 😊. It's a lovely icecream shop with good seating, and good selection. Will definitely be back to try more flavors!

We had our 5 year olds birthday here today, tons of fun for the littles! This is what keeping Main Street alive is all about. Staff is friendly and pleasant to work with, along with great ice cream and local items for sale. Thanks for having us!

I go to Saco/Old Orchard Beach more than a few times a year, but I've never went to downtown Saco.I came across this little gem by suggestion of my grandma. The ice cream is delicious and there is quite a collection 20+ if i remember correctly. They have waffle taco shells for your ice cream! They also have an ice cream flight for the indecisive. When I started thinking I really like this place, I noticed a walk up window, where if you have a dog or not, you can order via window! I cant say enough great things about the friendly/ knowledgable staff. My only regret is my stomach is only so big and it is sooo far away.

Great shop with SO MANY FLAVORS! You can either walk up and hang outside or go in and check out the shop with trinkets, gear, gifts, and more. The greatest part about the Saco Scoop, aside from the ice cream, is that it's a non-profit and contributes to the community! Tonight I went with the small sundae, raspberry chip ice cream. I'm ashamed but I really need to just get kiddie servings, I haven't finished an ice cream in awhile! It was delicious though and I love the mission behind it, I'll be back.

Currently traveling the country, with my hubby & pup. We don't buy sweets at the store so we can try sweet spots like these. This place did not disappoint. Every flavor I sampled to the ones I got were delicious. I have to say though, I love all things fruit. My recommendation is the Watermelon Sherbert!!! Also, this place is generous with their scoops. Most places give 3 scoops with a large; They give 4 scoops with a medium! Really cute items to purchase too. I snagged a really pretty pair of sea glass earrings. GO...NOW!

Peanut butter paradise and nitro coffee make the best frappe ever, thanks to Melissa's suggestion! After my fourth grader's cross country meet, we stopped by the Saco Scoop for our own private celebration. My two oldest girls had dishes of cotton candy, my 8 year old autistic daughter had a chocolate ice cream, my 6 year old autistic son had a blue dinosaur lollipop and a playdough ice cream. All in all, it was $26 and some change. Melissa's service was impeccable! I miss the wonderful hospitality, it doesn't happen often!

Seriously some of the best ice-cream I've had in a long time. It's like little less dense Ben and Jerry's, but taste as good or better.

Cute local ice cream shop! They usually have a couple dairy free options (except for a couple times last summer when they were out), so I can usually eat here! A few more dairy free flavors would be nice, but overall good service and cute little place to stop!

Great customer service both indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty large selection of treats so theres something for everyone and it is locally owned. Prices are reasonable.

Great local ice cream shop with the BEST doggy walk up window. They even have the cutest little doggy ice cream dishes too! Tasty treats for all!

Everything you want in an ice cream shop. variety of flavors, fast service, local items to browse while you wait, and a dog service window. A bit of the pricey side but experience and product has always been worth it.

Sometimes they don't have all the flavors, but the ones that they have are super good, really delicious ice cream 🍦

I love going here. Not only is it great food, it’s a great atmosphere! “M-Dog” is such an amazing woman with a beautiful personality. She cares for each of her employees (even when they annoy her) as if they are her own. It’s obvious that this woman is the reason the Saco Scoop is as successful as it is. I came for the ice cream I return for the friends!

It was my first time having their ice cream, and it was very good. There was a very calm atmosphere while I sat and enjoyed my coffee flavor. There wasn't any wait time, which is always nice. Lastly, everything was very clean and tidy. I highly recommend this place for a good treat.

Made the time while visiting with family for my Dad and I to stop in today. Beautiful spring weather so the place was hoppin. Melissa and her co-scooper were very busy, but Melissa took the time to chat briefly while waiting on us. Great ice cream, nice variety, nice atmosphere plus benches outside. Oh, and I overheard a customer asking if they want their Scoop card punched! Have Always though this was a fantastic idea for business to cultivate repeat customers!!

This was an amazing find! I've been living in the area for three years and have officially found my new ice cream shop. The ice cream was great and they have creative choices like an ice cream taco and homemade fudge. There's even dairy free and gluten free options. They also sell local artisan honey, popcorn, and maple syrup. The service was so friendly. It's a quiet little shop right in the downtown area that I would recommend to everyone.
