Great price great food. Bloody Mary was good only $4! Wish I could have sat and had a few more. I had the salad bar it was good, decent soup could have had better options for hot food but the home made bread was amazing. Definitely would stop again.

I stopped here on my way through town with two dogs and a wife. They were welcoming of the dogs (seated outside, of course) and we ordered off the bar menu. The drink selection is good, with some regional beers on tap alongside the usual domestics. The Reuben was the sandwich of the day, and it was excellent. The service was friendly. If I'm in the area, I will be going here again.

We loved this place. My husband had a huge burger and home cut fries and I had the sirloin with shrimp in creamy garlic sauce. The sauce was AMAZING! My husband put some on his burger and it went great over the hash browns, which were also home cut. SO GOOD! And the price was very reasonable.

I was up in Minnesota for a week doing inventory, and this place was recommended for their salad bar. My friend and I tried this and yes, definitely would recommend for the salad bar. Just be warned, the waitress service might be a little slow on getting to your table because of everything they're doing, but they are friendly.

This place has been here since my husband was little (he's 50). They have great homemade food. The bacon is nice and thick and edible. Hash brown are fabulous and homemade. Pancakes taste like they are made from scratch but I loved their french toast made from homemade bread.

My favorite place to stop for lunch when heading to the North Shore. Friendly wait staff, quick seating, and good food. Their buffet is fresh with lots of variety, and they have a menu with a broad range of choices for table service. Don't forget to check out the bakery items prepared from scratch on site daily.

At this 60's styled restaurant the buffet they have is legendary, particularly due to various fresh bread loaves they bring out which you slice to the size you want. Two soup options are usually quite tasty. Salad Bar. Pasta Bar. Bread pudding. Hardly ever order off the main menu at this place. And price is reasonable.

This place is amazing. An original early 60's supper club in all its glory. The food is fantastic. The salad bar may be the best I've ever seen. The service was fast and friendly. Please don't change a thing, love everything about this place.

Really enjoyed the homemade food soups and bread..... The best part of the visit is we normally don't eat at buffet places..... We observed Matthew and how clean and healthy he kept the area and decided to go with it. Matthew seems like a great employee who seems to care a lot and the interaction with him was very important

The salad bar is fantastic, the meatballs and bread pudding was very good. The all you can eat fish and tartar sauce were great! Sage dressing and tater salad was also very good. Soups were like "Grandma's"!

When I was a kid (back in the day) Cassidy's was the restaurant I begged to go to when we were heading up to the lake. It had been at least 20 years since I last ate here (I live 1200 miles away) and was thrilled to find the place had changed very little. My 15 year old son even ordered the dish which was my kid-favorite -- beef stew -- and it still came in a cast iron kettle! Highly recommended for those who love small town diners, comfort food, and small town non-tourist prices.

We stopped you're after a nice road trip bringing a Pomeranian puppy to meet to deliver to someone else. We've been coming here for years enjoyin the salad bar and lovely bread and whipped butter. I also remember coming here in high school years ago stopping on our way to Duluth and going down the the spiral staircase into the downstairs because it was fun to use the stairs. The bakery was sold out. Bummer!
Worth the stop!

Best salad bar ever! That's not sarcasm. It was the greatest! So much more than salad: soups, entrees, delicious breads, fruit, and desserts! This is a woeful description, you'll have to see it yourself. I love the old timey feel of the place and the friendly staff. When you order a cup of coffee they also just bring a carafe and leave it at the table. It is weak but warm, the kind you can drink all day without getting jittery. Plus you can buy loaves of bread to take home. And magazines.

Note to Vegetarians/Vegans: Most, but not all, of the bread is made with lard.

Go experience this Minnesota gem on your way to Duluth or after a trip to the Hinckley fire museum. Tell them I sent you.

The food was very good and hot. The salad bar is every bit worth the extra few dollars. The staff was friendly and very patient with the grand children. An enjoyable meal for the family.

Friendly hometown service comfort food at a reasonable price and exceptional quality with a good variety. "Salad bar" is one of the better all you can eat buffet options in Minnesota. #Kare11 Best of MN

I grew up coming to this place with my mom. We would buy a loaf of pumpernickel bread for grandma on our way up north and stay for lunch. I recommend just getting the salad bar. You will be so full! Save room for the bread pudding!

Family style setting. It was not the best food I have ever had but you have to keep in mind that you are in a small town & things just work differently here! Great staff, they made me feel at home while I was there for 2 weeks.

Cassidy's food is all homemade including their delicious breads. We bought cookies and cinnamon bread to take with us. They even have artwork from local artists that we also had to purchase. The building is like walking back into the 60s. Really cool!
