Great state forest with lots of activities. Decent hiking/biking and horse trails. Has a nice campground for a state forest with a swim beach. Many day use areas with many lakes to enjoys. Looks like fishing is good for how busy the lakes were. Has many wilderness scenic roads to drive and even a horse campground. All this and still very close to Brainerd area with tons to do in the vacinity.

Easy to get lost, lots of hunting spots fun place to jist drive around as well.

It used to be a gravel pit, but has been converted into a free-to-use shooting range- they have a trap area, short range (25 yard) and mid length range (100 yard). Bring your own stuff, clean up after yourselves and be safe!

The forest is very well managed, creating a ton of habitat for all sorts of wildlife. It is also much bigger than I had previously thought it was. This place really is a gem.

I do amateur radio, was a fantastic place to set up for parks on the air. Really nice day use area.

It's Minnesota's great outdoors beautiful trees and bushes and ferns. The rolling hills are gorgeous when the sun's coming up or going down
