Weathervane Playhouse, Akron

I transport a client to this location and only went in to use the restroom. I was pleased to see how clean it was. Many companies don't seem to appreciate the importance of a clean restroom. It tells a visitor how much pride management and the employees take in their job and gives customers an idea of what the areas we can't see look like.

Because I'm on the road all day I have to rely on public restrooms. Some gas stations look like the restroom hasn't been cleaned in years!

This location is very accessible. Ample some parking and handicap accessible entry. The seats are big enough for plus size people to sit in. The theater is intimate and the sound system is great. They've also gone paperless for their playbills! My niece has a hearing aide and the theater accommodated that with the correct info for settings! Went to see a production of the Newsies! Great fun. Interesting casting choices and the tap number was lovely.

An amazing little theater venue without a bad seat in the house! We saw 8x10, eight, ten minute plays set in a castle theme. Each one was highly entertaining. The folks on hand in the theater to usher, serve refreshments, etc were all super friendly too! Looking forward to taking in another production!

The playhouse offered acting lessons for adults and was taught by a professional actor who explained everything well.

As I went upstairs to the classroom I saw large rooms filled with many rows of clothes that are used in their plays. For me the experience was like being inside a theater on Broadway.

The theater is small but it there wasn't a bad seat in the house. We really enjoyed the show!

Nice venue. Just the right size. And they serve alcohol! Nice Agatha Christie play — Mouse Trap. Modern clean facility.

They put on a very good play (murder on the oriental express) it was well done. Can't wait to other plays there. It's a small theater so all seats are good.

Weathervane has come a long way. I hadn't been for over twenty years and just attended the Elf show. It was spectacular!

We love Weathervane. There are no bad seats, prices are reasonable and the shows are always entertaining!

Great place with great actors. The shows are always well done and the cast never disappoints.

The show was the musical "Matilda". This was my first time attending the Weathervane. I was impressed with the talant of the cast at this community theater. My daughters have season tickets and invited me to join them. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Saw “Ragtime” tonight. This was our first time experiencing this theatre and we completely enjoyed ourselves! Cozy theatre with great lighting and acoustics. Rather impressed with the talent in this production. We will definitely be looking for more shows this year!!

Really enjoy the experience when I come here. People here seem really friendly even though the same people seem to be in most of the shows, I've spotted some new faces now and again. What I love about this theater is it does some good work and actually feels like a place for the community to enjoy theater. Some of the shows are not as good as the others but that's okay. They don't seem to be too pretentious about things here, though a little lacking in diversity unless they do something that they clearly chose to drawn in actors of color. It's better than other theaters that are just 100% white.
Would also be nice to see plus size actors on stage. Not everyone was stick thin but still no actual plus size in all the shows I've seen here - except Kinky Boots we got a beautiful plus size Lola <3
The man who works the ticket counter is incredibly nice and I really like the lobby design.

So much fun! I'm amazed by the quality of the set design. This local and small theatre has been around for decades! It never ceases to amaze me. I've been coming here since childhood, and I love it now even as an adult. I find that it's a hidden gem, some Akronites don't even know about. If you're looking for a fun date night, or a weekend event with the kids, this is it!

The performance was well done, and we loved it! My grandchildren definitely loved it!!!

Attended Murder on the Orient Express. Excellent performance. There is not a bad seat in the place. Close to many dinner options beforehand as well.

Great local performers that are better than one could expect. Also, the sets are top notch. No real bad seat in the place due to being a smaller size auditorium. Prices are about 1/3 of the Keybank Series up in Cleveland (which I like too).

We had a wonderful time at the Weathervane Playhouse. The performance was great. The venue is really nice.
