Once Upon A Child

If you need something in a pinch, this is the place to go. We needed toddler 8 boys winter boots. Bins were clearly labeled. We even had options. Spent $15, and my kid loves the boots. Score!

Awesome clothing store for gently used kids stuff! I’ve sold and bought here for years and I love coming here. They have great deals on clothes and are fair with their prices when selling. Always a fun time shopping here!

Love browsing through OUAC aisles. I always find some great items for my children. The store is well organized. They offer occasional promos and sales which is nice. I also think it's great that they buy gently used items and offer cash/check on the spot. 😷 FYI: Due to COVID-19, they are no longer accepting items in plastic bags. Only clean items in boxes, paper bags, etc. This location is definitely worth a stop! 🤗

My wife sent me on an impossible mission that I was sure I would fail no matter what I did.

I was looking for a pink jumper dress for my daughter. She wanted to dress up as Sally from The Cat in The Hat.

I didn't know where to start. One of the ladies showed me where the right dresses were and helped me put the outfit together.

My daughter loved the dress and shirt!!!

They made me look like a hero!!!

I have shopped there with my mom for my siblings and my sister for her two little ones. all the clothes are great quality for cheap. they have never been disappointed. my mom has been shopping there since her first of five was born. my sister spent 600$ for new clothes on her two sons for christmas and they are the cutest clothes:) all the workers here are super nice. this is the only store my sister will shop at. they are super easy to work with and are super friendly. we have never had a bad encounter with a worker. the clothing is always in amazing condition. the store is always clean and the clothes are too!

It's a buyer's market. They have a rewards program. Everything is still in great condition and they check for recalls on baby stuff.
The only complaint I've had is the employees. They are getting better, but still... It's an ongoing issue. Like, years of employees. Often you aren't greeted and they give an air like you are interrupting or bothering them. They could do with a bit more training in that department. I rarely see the same employee twice. Maybe there is a reason they always look grumpy.
Still worth it! Bring your own bags and you get extra points. Enough points=15% off purchase regular priced stuff.
Don't expect much for items you sell. Not a seller's market.

Edit* with the quick response of the owner I raised the score and just wanted to clarify the smells funny is just referring to the amount of products they have in the store. It doesn't smell dirty or foul. Seems every used clothing store you go to shares the same smell. So nothing negative. 👍

Definitely some great deals!

They have all your child needs, from toys to shoes to outfits for all occasions. It's outrageous how affordable the prices are; you could easily get 6 months worth of kids stuff for $50 because they always have a sale or clearance section. Great friendly people, it may seem like a lot walking in but it's totally worth it.

Good sorting, surprisingly fair pricing. This little used kids stuff shop makes amazing use of the space and everything is easy to find. Quality is superb, yet prices compete with Savers/Unique Thrift, Goodwill and the like any day. Best of all, you can sell your gently used chidren's items for cash and/or store credit. Very impressed with the entire system!

Aside from the great selection and prices, the owners/managers are so nice and friendly! Was there today to let my son pick out a toy for his birthday and the lady ringing us up gifted him another item that he really wanted as well. It was the sweetest experience! Thank you, Once Upon a Child!

Best used kids store ever!! Employees were super friendly & helpful! So much inventory for all ages & all seasons! I went in looking for snow pants & new winter clothes for my daughter & spent way more than intended! I will always drive out of my way to come here ☺☺

Whenever I am looking to buy new clothes for my 5 year old son, I always turn to Once upon a child in Minnetonka. They have great deals to nab every time we visit the store. And, my son almost always comes home with a new toy from this store as well. He really likes the Lego kits that we have found in the store and immeditlatly starts to build them when we get home. I have also found a few Lego kits that I like to keep for my collection as well :-)

Also, their staff is very friendly and always a huge help whenever I am trying to find something specific for my son to wear (usually seasonal items), thanks Alyssa!

I enjoy supporting local businesses whenever I can and buying gently used children's clothes are the best way to go since they grow so fast. And when my son has out grown the clothing, I can resell it back to Once Upon a Child and use that money to put towards his next clothing purchase.

This is the first time I have ever used this type of service, I have always donated used clothing in the past. The staff was able to look through my clothes and toys while I waited and I received an incredible price for the items they took. I looked around while I waited and I was very impressed with their selection and decided to pick up a couple additional items. Great experience.

I have had a good experience buying and selling at this location. I love that they sell board books for 50 cents each. My one critique would be that I wish they had carts so I could bring my toddler shopping with me.

The staff here were SO friendly! They helped me find what I was looking for. The store also smelled so good when I walked in!! I would definitely check them out for your children's clothes.

We have been regular here for the last 15 years. Gently used, fancy clothing costs fraction of what it was new. We collected a large assortment of board games over the years which would not be possible from other sources - some of the games are just unique. Paperback childrens books used to be 50 cents a piece, plus buy 2 get 1 free. Under the new management, books are more expensive, but there are still sales from time to time; got some interesting titles from them.
Little known, they allow school students for part time work at younger age than most places.

Love this place found what I couldn't from 4 other stores should have known this was a cheap 1 stop shop for specific needed clothing for my 1.5 yr old grandbaby

The clothes are very clean and neat and great brands. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help you. the store is always clean and has a great atmosphere!! totally recommend going there to get your clothes!!
