Arepa Grill Doraville

Fantastic hidden gem with incredible Venezuelan food. Authentic and delicious at an affordable price- their arepas are STUFFED. I had a spread from the grill and this steak was SO well seasoned and juicy! Highly recommend this spot. The inside is a little straightforward in terms of design- it’s more about the food- so not a fancy spot- but great for a weeknight dinner.

First time patron. The food is delicious and definitely worth it. The place was packed and busy but the cashier took the time to explain what the items on the menu were. We ended up trying the mixed grill board and some burgers. Seems like a popular place and we will be back to try more items from the menu.

So much better than the decor suggests.

This is hidden in a little run down strip mall on Buford highway. The inside looks like a fast food restaurant where the colors are a little too bold, the decor is utilitarian in the surfaces look like they're easy to clean rather than decorative. There's a counter with a big display menu, like a cheap fast food restaurant. It is so misleading.

I had a meal called Mini Picanha Churrasco. I got it with the side of coleslaw, yucca fries and paid extra for some arepas. I'm pretty picky about my coleslaw and this was a good flavor but I prefer it less soupy. Additionally, the yucca fries were, well, yucca fries and nothing incredibly remarkable about that.

The steak was unexpectedly good. Probably the most delicious $20 steak meal that I can think of. It was tender, medium rare and char-grilled. It came with some chimichurri sauce and sour cream.

The arepas were also unexpectedly great. First of all they're dairy-free and gluten-free. They have a lightly crispy outside and a moist spongy inside that breathes a little steam when bit into them.

Here's a couple of tips. First, you can take your food to the tea room next door where it is a much nicer dining experience. They ask that you support them too. They have great tea. Second, it takes about 15 minutes to make the arepas, so you need a little time to eat here.

I did not have any trouble putting together a delicious meal without dairy, gluten, or nuts. The gals at the counter didn't understand much English but were really helpful. They pointed out that the sauces on the table were mayonnaise-based and without dairy.

My experience was a nice surprise in many ways. It's not the place for a first date, but it's a fun place to go anytime after the third date.

The Arepas , empanadas, and churros were amazing !!! Loved them., but not the tequenos, not the right cheese. Service is great !!!

I've gone here multiple times and the food is always delicious! I've tried various arepas, tostones, and tequeños. The parchita and chicha are great too! My go-to is the arepa green veggie🤤

One thing to note: I ordered the tequeyoyos for takeout one time, which only had cheese and plantain in the description on the menu, but they actually have ham in them as well.

The restaurant gets pretty busy on any given night, especially on the weekends, but as long as you're willing to wait, you won't be disappointed! The staff is polite and friendly as well - never had a negative experience.

Burger Extra large, loved this burger. Tasty, delicious, huge. It has everything I was, and you are looking for. Bacon, egg, cheese, meat, chicken and there is more. If you want to come and eat a very big burger,Tasty and you are crazy hungry, you should definitely come here, this is the 3rd I've come here and again, no disappointment, very good attention, favorite venezuelan place in Atlanta, thanks for everything again, and if I come to Atlanta again. I'm coming yo this place again

Clean atmosphere, tasty veggie green arepa. 5 different sauces on table. Wish I knew the name of all of them. Excellent 👌

Everything we've tried is amazing! One of my favorite places in the area. The area flight is a great way to try a few things & the sauces add so much variety!
Seating can be hard to find when it's busy so try to come during off hours especially if you have a big party.

People, do yourself a big favor in life… visit this place! The food is inexplicably delicious and transports you to those tourist and everyday sites that this great country has... delicious food, the service and how they pack the food to take away, only explain the dedication and excellent customer service they present additional to the delicious seasoning and flavors of the dishes.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 “Plato navideño” … Terrific!!

We go back here to try more food yesterday, but they don’t have any tables available, we have to wait around 30~45 minutes. Then we saw next door cuckoo’s cafe they put a sign say no outside drink or food but Arepa grill customer’s are welcome. They are so sweet, so we buy food from Arepa grill then go to cuckoo’s cafe buy a drink enjoy our dinner time. Cuckoo’s drink is very good.

Absolutely delicious & well worth the price. The steak was the best and most flavourful we’ve ever had. The fried tapioca was perfection. The Venezuela tour was a bit heavy on the carbs and cheese but still delicious, get the arepa tour if you’re looking for something with more meat and veggies. Highly recommend the chicha and parchita (passion fruit).

Delicious. Amazing. I do not know how to encapsulate how perfect this meal was. There’s a large combo platter on the grill menu. Spouse and I split one (you have to with this), and we couldn’t finish it because of how much and high quality the meal is. This had to be one of the most tender and savory selection of meats I’ve ever had. The arepas were light and crispy. All the sauces provided add to whatever you’re eating, but honestly? I really didn’t have to use sauces. Everything tasted past perfection.

Ps: The tres leches alone is more than enough reason to eat here. Oh my word! 🥰

Delicious food. Very busy. It may be hard to find seating during busy times.

The food here is incredible, absolutely love it. It's a walk up counter order style, they bus the tables for you but there isn't much in the way of servire or anything, it's more of a fast food place. A fast food place with incredible food! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are beyond good. Really love it.

Listen, I am not Venezuelan nor a native Spanish speaker and I love this place. My family and I have come here at least once per month for the last 5 months and we have never been disappointed.
The customer service is excellent, the food is top tier, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I have been steadily working my way through the menu and so far everything is delicious.
This place is great! You guys keep doing what you are doing.

This is one of my most visited spots in Atlanta! The quality of the food is always over the top. They have a great variety of dishes and everything is simply delicious. In this visit, we got the mini parrilla, the pabellón and their plate of the day (lasagna)

Their desserts are also amazing! The churros and tres leches are my absolute favorite!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I can't stop coming back! Theres so much variety in their menu and everything I've ordered so far has been absolutely delicious. Plus if you dine in you get a whole caddy of sauce bottles to use to your heart's content.

Edit: still coming back here consistently, and I still love it. There's only been one thing from the menu I wouldn't order again, but that's because everything else was so delicious and flavorful that I want to eat all those other items again more!

Venezuelan meal - This was amazing, chicken, steak, sausage, pork, cheese like young mozzarella, a mayo based coleslaw with a touch of spice, a oil/olive tapenade, avacado, and their version of pico de gallo, yucca deep fried, plantains deep fried and one other item that was like fried potatoes that had been mashed then deep fried. It was just the right amount of spice and salt . It all came out super hot but sadly cooled off quickly on the cutting board. Completely out of our way but completely worth it. The restrooms were clean. Staff was helpful, knowing a little bit of Spanish would be helpful. Restaurant is clean. Food was super tasty!!!!
